Whilst I understand the criticism of TPJ I think it’s a bit harsh. He’s had two years of preseason injuries so has started the season on the back foot. His discipline has increased immensely so he’s not doing to cheap shots and silly stuff he used to. He has a great offload but needs to be more judicious in his use of it. He was very good at the back end of last year once he got game time and fitness. I’m expecting he’ll keep improving this year the more he plays. I think he is the point of difference in our pack and if he gets fit and in form he can carry us on his back for a few good seasons. A lot of ifs but nothing is certain with any player
Buyer’s remorse: Ten NRL contracts that may end in tears of disappointment
Can’t come soon enough!
I find myself whining about the refs more and more and I hate myself for it. But gee they can ruin games. I turned over and watched the afl yesterday where poor refereeing happens but rarely has the same effect on games that poor NRL refereeing does.

Maybe I’ve missed something here, but why was Swepson selected only to go home for the birth of his child? Surely the birth was known about before hand or was there a medical issue there? Seems weird. Same with Agar, why select him and not pick him if 3 spinners are selected?
Green on track, Starc doubtful means Kuhnemann close to joining list of Aussie spin bolters who sink or swim
Thanks Scott. A very tough list to do, no doubt.
I’m probably harsh on Lockyer but I can’t forget how he had a minder to do his tackling when playing 5/8 (Tonie Carroll). So I wouldn’t rate him as highly as you but obviously only my two bobs.
Think SBW rated way too high.

So many great Australian female sports stars. Many mentioned here. I’d add Louise Sauvage to the list

Plenty said the same thing about a young Josh Duggan, he turned out pretty good.

Poor Davey. Premeditated cheating, but not man enough to carry it out himself. Wants us to feel sorry for him (he’s the victim right?) but won’t fess up to tell the truth even after the chance to do so. Not like this is his only blemish either. I’m sick of him sulling the name, integrity, and reputation of the Australian cricket team. Time for CA to have a “no dickheads” selection policy. Time for Davey to go make his millions in the IPL and the like and leave Australian cricket the better for his absence
Warner and his ‘mates’ have still not told the whole truth - perhaps they simply cannot handle it

Couldn’t agree more, so why are you? Full, open, truthful disclosure would be the minimum requirement before the thought of any reinstatement hearing even happening.

Who's likely to attract big dollars when clock ticks over for NRL's November 1 free agency deadline?
Thompson owes us a big season, if it doesn’t eventuate he’ll be heading back to the old dart. I’m hoping Burns has a good preseason to set him up for a top year. Needs to work on his reads in defence.
Corey Allan has been a disappointment unfortunately.
Like most here, I like Flanagan, gutsy defender, but he needs to do more with ball in hand. I hope he has a cracking season, he could be the difference between finals and mediocrity
