BG I think NSW will go with Hynes. Slater and Qld have Luai’s measure. Munster can really lift in Origin like a lot of the qlders. I am concerned about Qld getting the better of NSW in the forwards though.

If Teddy played in the centres , he would think that the backline finished with him. So those outside him would never see the ball. Never get it passed to them.Its a speculated move that won’t eventuate. If Teddy isn’t the first choice fullback, he needs to retire.

Smith was never the same player after that concussion. It was obvious, that when he encountered Wagner’s relentless short pitched bowling a year or so later, he was on the look out for THAT TYPE OF BALL that decked him.

Tedesco is in that really “ cranky stage” prior to retirement. He has done it all and recently concussed for the 10 th time. In a club which isn’t performing and he isn’t performing, brain snaps like the trip occur. Sheer frustration kicks in. It’s with that context in mind, NSW selectors have to be concerned that the ill discipline and poor decision making he is displaying gets transferred to the Origin arena. It’s time to make the call on Teddy. No origin in 2024.

Hard calls have to be made.That is one thing Billy Slater has never shirked . He made the hard calls on Gagai and Capewell, which were found to be correct when at the time many disagreed.The hard call on Tedesco has to be made.

The decision around Tedesco for Origin could very well decide the series outcome. His form is poor and he has been in decline for the last two years. His lack of composure with a brain snap and the trip shows his decision making is all messed up. He needs to be replaced for NSW .

Billy Slater doesn’t look like a cult leader to me. I’m sure he doesn’t control players lives and use group coercive tactics. Qld use FORMER ORIGIN GREATS ( FOGS) to enhance the culture of being a queenslander and build upon the great legacy left by former players.
