Wade is in for his ‘leadership’ forget about his batting/keeping

It will be interesting to see if the follow on is invoked when Pakistan’s torment inevitably ends
It would be logical to impose it, but with the crowds in mind it would not surprise to see the Aussies bat again
Australia vs Pakistan highlights: Cricket live scores, blog, 1st Test - Day 2
still maintain it is very batting friendly, just terrible batting and superlative bowling
you are making me laugh nudge by how you are near stalking me 🙂 on ROAR 🙂
Australia vs Pakistan highlights: Cricket live scores, blog, 1st Test - Day 2
agree on the bowling which has been as near to perfect as you get
Hazelwood is at present the best bowler in the world, or certainly in the conversation
Australia vs Pakistan highlights: Cricket live scores, blog, 1st Test - Day 2
He gets out too much in the 50-100 range, Root
And with the debate raging over who is the best it has to go against him. Even in this series, 5 scores over 50 but only one hundred has had a huge bearing on England’s batting

I cannot see what india gains by playing Mishra, but they would if they played a youngster like Kuldeep
his style of bowling ( over the wrist ) can translate anywhere in the globe
India vs England: International cricket, 5th Test – Day 1 live scores
Great, in fact exceptional Aussie bowling along with atrocious ( you are being very kind ) batting
Never is going to end well
Australia vs Pakistan highlights: Cricket live scores, blog, 1st Test - Day 2
spot on as well, with it very sad on how he highlighted a vastly diminished Younus Khan
Australia vs Pakistan highlights: Cricket live scores, blog, 1st Test - Day 2
his dropping changed the series in India’s favour
I cannot believe they didnt give Kuldeep Yadav a test
India vs England: International cricket, 5th Test – Day 1 live scores
Exceptional bowling by the Aussies, and if we ever needed an answer to the query over the quality of the Pakistani batting this first innings has shown it
Australia vs Pakistan highlights: Cricket live scores, blog, 1st Test - Day 2
Great new ball bowling by Starc and Hazelwood but stoic resistance by Babar/sami setting up a brilliant evening session
Love both the young Pakistani batsmen but Babar has been touted from a young age and after his very respectable effort in NZ recently it will be interesting to see how he goes here
From an impartial viewpoint, i hope Pakistan can bat well which will set up a great series with the MCG/SCG buzzing to take in the contest

Oh, i have made some howlers with predictions, Ronan
Always owned up to them too, even ask Nudge, he still ribs me for the prediction I made on a RSA/Australia series a few years back. even in the previous RSA series, had a giggle about losing money on backing Australia to win 2 nil
Back to your point on ‘cheapies’ by bringing up Cook
What are your thoughts on Smith’s innings in SL in a dead rubber with his main tormentor from the series in Herath missing in the infancy of Smith’s innings and seriously limited after a blow to the plumbs?
As for your previous poser, we have already debated this previously and you know my views, so I find it strange that you need to bring it up again
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
And while we are comparing notes on what we have said and predictions, Ronan
You must be a tad disappointed with your boys Cameron Bancroft and Marcus Stoinis after you being very vocal about both for the test team. The poor lad Bancroft cant buy a run for WA in the Shield this season with an average of 23.9
Similarly poor Stoinis, batting average 14.5, bowling average 46.4
Still vocal in support of both or are your reassessing you attaching such merit to them?
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
If you said Root/moeen’s centuries as cheap, agree completely
Cook’s being in the second innings has merit but it was in favourable confines with the match still very alive
But on his struggles, already said Jadeja has pantsed him in the series
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
Ronan, look at my previous comment on the Indfia/England thread regard Cook and on Ritesh’s article
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
Hate dead rubbers with them allowing players to get cheapies that too many pay attention too
root will probably get a double ton here 9 you watch him get out first ball after lunch now that I have mozzed him ) and all will bang on about it
without pointing to the times in the sweries where he should have gone on for a huge score like some of the indians have
India vs England: International cricket, 5th Test – Day 1 live scores
patterson for me
Or if Agar was in form I would look to him as a long term replacement at 6. Having a spinner at 6 will allow the possibility to play all the 4 quicks if the conditions were suited
Could you imagine the trio of Cummins/Starc and Pattinson operating in short sharp burts where they are told like jono was to make the batsmen dance……With Hazelwood in the holding role as the more defensive quick
Long way to go for Agar though, but he has it in him to be a 35/35 test type all rounder- fabulous talent
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
Just on Marsh, if his bowling was strong enough to be a trusted first change bowler, I would love to see him at 8, but it is not. he would be lethal ghiven a license where his batting was seen as a ‘bonus’ rather than relied upon
And once Cummins/Pattinson are fit to be new ball partners with Starc, it will cast Hazelwood in the change role making him even more lethal
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
If you said ‘reverse swing’, sure Perry, but not traditional swing
Even reverse has a lot to do with how you maintain the ball in the sense of manipulating it to swing
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
So in a batting line up that struggles you want a man at 6 who averages less than Mitchell Starc and Pattinson, interesting
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
On opinions, how is Mitch Marsh going after your remedy to Australia’s batting ills was to insert him at 6 and stick with him
That is not even remotely ‘amusing’ Nudge, lol
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
Don, you and I share our love for Marcus Harris but never brought into the hype over Bancroft, conceding on here that i think he is pretty average.
And you are a bit off the mark assuming i do not watch the Shield highlighted by being one of the few touting Marcus Harris and my other lovechild Chris Tremain
Handscomb's back-foot reliance will be tested
