Izzy is fine young man, he is entitled to his belief’s however as a Christian he also has a responsibility to ‘love his neighbour’s’ and to demonstrate compassion and forgiveness, I wish him well, on the ‘flip-side’ and it has to be said that as a fullback and meeting the ‘Job Description’ of that position Izzy would be without doubt the worst fullback ever selected in a national side in the past 100 years, my 13’c fullback’s in years gone by would out kick him blindfolded, his positional play tells me that he simply cannot read the game, his passing is sub-par like most of the current Wallaby side, again my 13’c can our pass at least 6 to 7 of the current squad, what do the coaching staff do in training????, I continue, tackling at best 5/10, Cheika has no idea about selection he would not have a clue what I talented fullback looks like, Izzy on the wing different story however at best 7/10, bring on some new blood, I have seen extraordinary talent in the ‘Shute Shield’ in recent year’s, it defies logic that this vast pool of talent is overlooked. Cheik’s favourites always, I can think of 3 or 4 members of the Wallaby squad who are possibly eligible for the ‘old age pension’, I weep with frustration, ‘Go the Wallabies’

Tah-Tah, Izzy: Rugby Australia, NSW Rugby confirm they'll sack Folau

Fionn, thank you, best post this year, I might add that I have been a huge Beale fan since his school boy days, never missed a chance to get to Hunter’s Hill to watch the 1st XV when he was playing at 10, he was so talented and still is, the 13B’s I coached 2 years ago ran so much straighter than this current Wallaby side, it makes no sense, if we change nothing else but the so called ‘Attack Coach’ that would be a solid start.

Lost: Wallabies’ game management nous

Administrators and Coaches – how do we get it so wrong and for so long ?. Sutherland/Pulver/Lehmann/Cheika/Howard (General Manager-‘Team Performance’)/Larkham (Attack Coach), jobs for ‘The Boy’s, when will it end. Perhaps a 2-3 year suggested solution whilst we steady the respective ships Coaching, Motivational and Mentoring Executive Team – Representing both Cricket Australia and Rugby Australia – Mark Ella, Craig Bellamy, Tim Horan, Robert Maxwell Deans, Mark Waugh, Stuart MacGill, George Bailey and John O’Neill, I think it’s a great team.

Who are Australia’s worst administrators?

Darren Lehmann deserves no sympathy, in my view his role in this debacle was the most delinquent of all, he was never held to account for any of his coaching/selection decisions, he rarely communicated in any meaningful way with cricket followers in fact he was ambivalent most of the time, he should have been dismissed the day the ball tampering occurred, why is it that in cricket and rugby our coaching staff treat the paying public with such contempt, don’t we deserve to be told what their selection methodologies are and their aspirations for their respective teams. All national coaches in all sports have that fundamental responsibility.

CONFIRMED: Pat Howard and Ben Amarfio let go by Cricket Australia

Refreshing to see Fitzsimmons challenged, most of what he writes and says is light on substance, well done Ian.

Ian Chappell lines up Peter FitzSimons with savage sledge

Well said Big Daddy, Mark Taylor has never given the paying cricket public any genuine insights into our National Team’s performance nor our coaching performance, ‘Spin and Fake News’ have been the cornerstone of Mark Taylor, together with the former ‘Channel 9’ commentary team and the ‘CA Board’.

Holding the unaccountable to account

Glider, a polished overview, great read, keep up the good work, a Wallaby tragic, will never lose the faith, dream of being competitive, always admired the AB’s best wishes. ‘Golfunion’.

Dear Wallabies, sort it out ASAP please. Sincerely, all rugby fans

Smiggle Jiggle, congratulations a perfect overview, I wonder if the wallaby coaching staff have read your article?, I will never lose faith, I attended my first Test Match in 1957, I attended 2 Tests this year, I fell asleep in both matches!!!, the best game of rugby I witnessed throughout 2018 was a 13A’s match at Stanmore, a joy to watch, when are the punters going to be entertained by this Wallaby side!!!!!, I am not fixated on winning, just doing their very best, solid, simple basic rugby, it’s a fact, 50% of the team simply cannot pass, kicking in general play hopeless and sacrificing possession at will!!!!, when will it end and I must not forget Will Genia will he ever pass off the ground!!!!.

By the numbers: Are Mick Byrne and Nathan Grey up to scratch?

Expertdog, I completely agree with your thoughts, well scribed, Smith and Warner must accept their punishment with grace, this will be an important part of the Redemption Process when they return to the game in March 2019, as for Cameron Bancroft I have been saddened by his treatment since the fateful day, the lad should NEVER have been punished his treatment by CA and all the other 3rd parties was as discrace. I hope Cameron goes on the score 15,000 runs and one day captain’s Australia, my veiw is after the treatment he was subjected to by Smith and Warner his care of players on his watch will be exemplary.

The storm clouds are gathering to have the Smith, Warner and Bancroft bans lifted

I completely agree Nobbler, I still cannot fully explain the events of that day to my 6 and 8 year old grandsons.

Australia's bizarre tactics see them lose to Pakistan. Again

There are 12 million people living in NSW and Queensland, this is the historical rugby heartland of our nation, spend not a dollar more on ‘Growing the Game’ in any other State or Territory, when will the ARU come to fully understand this reality, simply work hard to promote the game with a population base of 12million and our beautiful game will grow once again. Any ‘True Blue’ Aussie from NSW and Queensland knows this, I can only conclude we have few Australian patriots working and advising our union. I should add that a Wallaby jersey should never be for sale, there can only two eligibility criteria and that is to be born in Australia and or have learnt their rugby here with an age threshold of 12-14 years?.

The easy fix for Super Rugby: Let more Kiwis play

Ronan – Great read, fully concur, Warner is a liability away from home, offers nothing as V.C., from a batting perspective zero leadership in India, better to pay him to stay home watching the ‘OLED’, taking care of the kids and reading Shakespeare.

Warner should be dropped if Australia tour Bangladesh

David – the ‘Kid’ is a little champion, cut the ‘Fake News’ – As a cricket devotees we should all be encouraging and supporting our National Team, the new caps are a tonic, give them some space at least, I attended my first Test at the SCG in 1963, this current series in India is the one I have enjoyed the most, real entertainment, as an aside the ARU and the NRL could only dream about providing this level of appreciation amongst it’s followers, I love my rugby, both league and union, simply cannot watch either code anymore, both codes have lost the plot, ‘The Bunker’ in League, the Wallaby coaching staff, it defies imagination, let’s play cricket all year, blended with a ‘touch’ of Kyrios and we will all be in nirvana. – Good luck today ‘lads’ wishing the team all the best, bring it home.

Matt Renshaw is no Test match slipper
