Agree, I think you will enjoy the discussion around back v front ball I will bring next week as this highlights the difference in how teams can use this space.
MUMM: Why the lineout determines your success at scrum time
WIth Gits at twelve and your best attacking weapon at the back, short lineouts can get you to a centre field attacking position quicker than the Wallabies have already been trying to do under a round the corner approach off Kuridrani. Then you have a centre field attacking situation and your choice of where you use Izzy, back against the forwards or same way, and you’ve centred the fullback, brought up the wingers and open up kicking options to the corners. At worst it mixes it up so the opposition isn’t facing the same attack each time.
MUMM: Why the lineout determines your success at scrum time
I will leave the who up to you guys for obvious reasons, but I think with Pooper on the field you need three legitimate jumpers OR a more imaginative lineout using shorts and the big fella running in the middle. The Tahs used this well last year and early this year with Hooper running wider and getting through a few times.

Couldn’t agree more and probably what Cheika is trying to find at the moment.
MUMM: Why the lineout determines your success at scrum time
Thanks for the welcome everyone – happy to throw what I know in to the larger conversation.
In regards to ‘Brumble’, when we head home like we did last year for the Buller Final, we are ‘one of Brumbles’ boys’, a fitting recognition of both men I think. After that the conversation inevitably goes to the feats of the original Brumble – whether they be on the field, on and axe or saw, or in the bar.
MUMM: Why the lineout determines your success at scrum time
Great point and why I particularly liked coaching it – sometimes it is smoke and mirrors, other times it is speed/skill and catch me if you can. For this reason I would like to see some more creativity in the Australian lineout – movement, different delivery options e.g the move that put Pocock through a hole from the back against the AB’s in Sydney.
Why just winning lineout ball isn't enough
