Not just that. Starc has equalled Lillee for wickets,in a lot more tests.

Lillee is better by any metric: era, pitches, overseas wickets/innings, opposition etc.

When Starc finishes up, he’ll have more wickets, that is all.

Joy of six: Lyon dismembers Black Caps as Aussies surge to commanding win, 1-0 series lead

Rocchiocolli leads all spinners this season. And fifth overall.
Heaps at the WACA. Also bats … A little.
Swepson and Murphy a long long way behind

Doesn’t hurt if you’re nine feet nine and bowling high one thirties.

Hardly.

He did wonderfully well against SK and the other UnZudders on the Aus A tour,so we are led to believe,so put him in.

Beau Webster would do a better job along with ten other Shield players averaging over 40, but Renshaw’s in the squad, ‘that means he’s good enough to play run drinks’.

Green shoots Aussies to big lead, but Smith's duck and Marnus' all time low give Kiwis a glimmer of hope

The ignorance of NRL fans for other sport is legendary, except perhaps whippet racing.
Perhaps the exhibition game of AFL played at the Oval was too great a mental burden.

Green stands tall with breakthrough ton while wickets tumble as Aussies crumble against Black Caps pace attack

Every player should earn their place, series by series.
There are a dozen Shield players averaging 40+ this season. So…

Hinchcliffe and Larance the stars.

100% not true about AFL fans.
You don’t know much about Australian sports history,do you?

Australian Rules was invented to keep cricketers fit through the winter.

NRL followers on the other hand…

You mean back to the usual quota of one Qlder in the Test team. Not sure about that.

But not straight.

Bazball beaten: Indian young guns' nerveless stand aces chase, ensures Poms' first series loss under McCullum

And, in fairness to Stokes, he did bowl a debutant spinner for 32 overs straight in the Indian first innings and 22 overs straight in the second innings.
According to Cummins that would go against all of nature’s laws.

Maybe any spinner with a modicum of control would have done well. The pitch was helpful, that is true.

Yeah, real shame about Turner and Kelly. You’d think they’d be first pick.

Paris, Hilton deliver dose of reality to Blues as WA make history with third straight one-day crown

Josh Vernon ,a Dampier boy, tore it up on the U/19 tour of England but couldn’t get in the U/19 World Cup side to go to South Africa.
Was he injured? He’s doing well in the firsts for Midland-Guildford now.

He competes with a lot of players for an Australian spot.
He’s also failed against WA before.

It’s not a myth. As has been amply demonstrated, ODI sides have been hideously overstocked with NSW players, despite their side not being the best domestic one-day team

The two best one-day domestic sides in Australia. Or did you …. and miss the Marsh Cup? Not like you!

Back-up quicks strangle Black Caps in timely World Cup reminder as Aussies clinch series sweep in 10-over shootout

Your man, Ben Dwarshuis-Zesers scored 2 and took a wicket.
He could probably get a badge,’ I took part in a match‘, in the trophy cabinet for sure.

Eagles having five first pick players on the sidelines didn’t help.
Didn’t see the game but Jackson’s ‘stray’ elbow that concussed Ginbey was ‘accidental’…?

'Overblown hysteria': Harley Reid is a gun, but he won't stop the Eagles finishing last again

Amazing run in one-day titles.
Since 1969, seventeen titles, basically every second year. Add in NSW’s twelve or thirteen titles and not much hope for the other states.
Who have been in Australia’s one-day internationals sides?
Lots of Victorians, Qlders & NSWmen of course, but only 31 West Australians back to
70/71. In 33 seasons.
Three Marshes, naturally. But once you’re in the ODI side it’s hard to get you out.
Why was that?

Exactly. Brayshaw didn’t react because
he ,weirdly enough, wasn’t expecting Maynard to launch into the air and whack his head with his shoulder.
The ill-informed who say ,here and elsewhere, that thinskulled types shouldn’t play, obviously have a false idea about concussion-causing collision.

One collision, thinskulled or not, can be
disastrous . It could be you or your daughter, thickskulled or not.

No romance about toughness can bring back mental clarity once it’s lost.

COMMENT: Angus Brayshaw's retirement isn't Brayden Maynard's fault - it's the AFL's

I’m thinking 9- 14. Flynn will be good. Ginbey will be better. Barrass is underrated by most. And so on.
The younger players have another preseason and lots to prove. Four Rising Star nominations in 2023 is a good indication.

Eagles have plenty of fast players and just need a clear run with injuries.
The new S&C team will help.

'Overblown hysteria': Harley Reid is a gun, but he won't stop the Eagles finishing last again

A man of few thoughts, Mr Duckett, best,.I would think, kept to himself.
The best players play that way because they can and sloppy fielding and one dimensional bowling contributes.
Sure, unconventional fielding positioning looks good, but if it is not restricting runs, tying up an end, or taking catches then what good is it?
Hartley looks the goods,Woods is great four overs at a time, Root is ordinary, Rehan needs another twenty tests. Anderson is mostly non-penetrative. Robinson?
Lambasting awaits.
