That’s a lot of effort you’ve put in to come up with a comment that manages to be neither funny or clever. Keep trying mate, only up from here.
Rugby News: Ex-PM says RA has succumbed to 'moral blackmail' after 'regrettable' Voice stance revealed
You’re an anonymous poster on a rugby forum. I don’t give a S#1tt about what you think you’ve done and the fact you feel the need to inflate yourself now suggests you know your comment makes you sound like a nob. As for “looking beyond partisan lines”, mate your lack of self awareness there is tragic.

It sounds like you want that to be implied. Don’t think anyone reasonable would think that though. But then I guess as anyone who reads your opinions on rugby knows, you’re not reasonable…

Maybe those who disagree in RA are mature enough to understand that they may not agree with every position their workplace takes but are still happy to work there. I don’t agree with many of the things my work does. If it reaches a point where I can’t take it, I can leave, but most of the time I can accept the disagreement and don’t think their decisions reflect on me personally. Are you 100% in agreement with the public positions of every organisation you’ve ever been involved in?

Compassion and care for your fellow man really shine through in your comments doctor…

My comment was not directed at you Jacko, it was clearly alluding to old mate Keith and his unnecessary grievances. Whether people agree with Pocock or not (fine not too) it’s very strange that people get so irate about a politician pushing a political position. Would seem to go with he territory to me..

I broadly agree that football codes shouldn’t have to be involved in the public debate around issues like this. If you think that the voice proposal is akin to Apartheid though then you’re either being melodramatic or completely lack any sense of proportion and nuance. By the way, your last five lines read a lot like the “virtue signalling” you deride, just from the opposite political direction.

Maybe so. Or maybe some commenters on the Roar could feel less personally aggrieved by a general statement made by David Pocock..

Hey Roar, can you edit the article to clarify this? Could change it to something like:
“and fans (but not including Keith (no longer) of WA) have loved including a Welcome to Country before Test matches”
For the sake of factual accuracy and journalistic integrity I think this important clarification is needed.

People follow sport for all sorts of reasons and some of those people who follow Rugby League will agree with the NRL’s decision here and some won’t. When you say “people” in your comment here, what you’re actually referring to is yourself. This is your view and you’re free to hold it, but I’m not sure you have any basis to assert that your opinion reflects the view of society in general. Also, the NRL isn’t a democracy, why does it need a mandate for anything?
Keep politics out of sport? Why NRL simply had to throw its support behind the Voice
It’s a very good win Jimbo. Glad they did it. Now if they could only beat an NZ team more than once every 3 years they’d really be onto something. Until then your delusions and obsessive hated of the Brumbies will remain as sad as ever. Also what’s 38% again? Is that the Reds current winning percentage for the year?
'We defended like a pack of dogs': Tate leads Reds to stunning win after Thorn's huge call ends 10 years of pain
I think it means frustration at the efforts of RA to sign NRL players on big $. When Sua’ali’i was signed, Wright’s manager ripped into RA in the media about focusing on signing NRL players rather than concentrating on retaining their own talent – he’s quoted in the article.

Most of the successful part of that era (world cup win, lions win, most of the Bledisloe wins) actually predates the acquisition of Tuiqiri, Sailor and Rogers.

Tom Wright spent all of one year in the NRL as a 20 year old before coming back to rugby. Saying he “wasn’t good enough to make it” is a very harsh and kind of ridiculous statement based off the amount of time he spent there.

It sure is second string and they’ll likely get hammered, but who are the Reds resting? In the backline Flook, Petaia, Henry, Paisami and Annan are all injured as are a bunch of players in the tight five.
COMPLETE SRP Round 12 teams: Brumbies, Tahs make one change each, Reds have seven, Force Wallaby returns
How have the Reds gone against the Brumbies this year Jimbo? What’s their winning percentage for this year while we’re at it? I notice you’ve made a habit of disappearing from all the articles talking about how the Reds have lost their latest game each week. But you still turn up on the Brumbies articles to repost stats about Rennie. Bit sad ay.
'It's a bit personal': Lolesio has the last laugh but Gordon shines as Brumbies hang on in epic showdown
Explain to me how the schedule has been gift wrapped for them? You insinuate some kind of favouritism or a conspiracy, why don’t you elaborate? The game plan is different this year under Larkham compared to the last couple under McKellar and had definitely evolved from the set piece oriented bad times of 2017-2018. That you think it’s the same suggests you don’t pay much attention. Given that they’ve beaten every NZ team other than the Crusaders in the last two years, that would suggest that there is in fact something to the way they play and that they’re not that easy to “show up tactically” as you suggest. You’re quite right that you’ll likely be pulled apart for this opinion, but that’s just because it’s poorly argued and poorly supported.
'It's a bit personal': Lolesio has the last laugh but Gordon shines as Brumbies hang on in epic showdown
Is the cost of going to a game “ever increasing”? Genuine question, because it is not particularly expensive to go to a Brumbies game if you just want to pay for general admission, can’t speak for elsewhere at present though. I think you’re both right. The competition suffers from having too many matches that end up being pointless and a foregone conclusion as the Force game was tonight. But Piru also has a very fair point, no attempt is made to properly promote Super Rugby in this country or to direct the narrative around Australian teams, which definitely makes the situation look worse than it otherwise should.
'Outclassed in every facet': Crusaders belt Western Force in reality check as set-piece dismantled
I think both things are true here. The draft idea is terrible and pretty clearly unworkable and it’s depressing that this is what McLennan is putting forward to fix Super Rugby when there are so many other things that could be done, both big and small, to make it a better competition. At the same time, it does very much seem like the attitude to this from Mansbridge implies a general hostility to other equalisation measures, which are very much needed, even if you exclude Australia, to stop the Highlanders and Moana Pasifika slipping further behind.
'South deserves a stronger voice': McLennan open to World Rugby tilt, but Kiwis shoot down his draft idea
I have no idea why Albert was let go, maybe he just didn’t kick on? He’s playing Shute Shield now though (for Eastwood I think), so if the Tahs want him I’m sure he’s available.

The Waratahs still also have Jack Bowen fit at ten. He’s played off the bench this year. The Brumbies third string 9 is Klayton Thorn. He’s not yet twenty and seems to be regarded as a longer term prospect. Presumably, if this is occurring Goddard is keen to go to get more opportunities to actually play. He’s been around a while now, is certainly good enough to play decent minutes, but rarely gets any gametime, even when selected on the bench. You’ll always lose players in that situation -Brumbies lost a bunch of their backline depth to the Force two years ago largely for that reason. Most players aren’t going to sit around long term on the proviso that they may get more minutes if there are injuries.

I don’t think they let McDonald go. He was enticed away by the Irish as part fo their strategy of signing Irish qualified players. I think Prior is looking his age this season (although he still has a good pass) but he’s there because there wasn’t a better third choice option available.

Another one who has been contracted to the Waratahs for all of one season and is getting basically no game time. Would it be preferable if Goddard went overseas again instead?
Exclusive: Bombshell twist as Wallabies star heads West to start domino effect in pointer to centralisation
I think if White goes west that’s likely the end of Prior’s career. Don’t think he should be keeping a squad spot over either of Fines-Leleiwasa or Robertson.

Thanks champ I will. You keep posting your political opinions and stroking your ego on the Roar, it’s sad but you clearly need it.
