Geoff, are you talking about Eddie or Campeze?

Grass roots mate, Eddies shown his card v Ireland.

As for Grass Roots, Australia always seem to come right when it matters ie RWC’s

The mouse might be a clown, grub or whatever but OZ are there or there abouts according to RWC history.

Early days but so are the “ROOTS”

The Wrap: What’s the real lowdown with grassroots rugby? Part Two

Maybe, but the goose step was sublime…..and along came Lomu.

Just joking mate.

The Wrap: What’s the real lowdown with grassroots rugby? Part Two

“Grass roots”

My first ever game watching an international game was at Eden Park between the Wallabies v AB’s during the early 80’s. Don’t ask me why but Roger Gould the bomber stood out for me.

The Ella bros v the Dunn Bros (pardon my spelling)??? were standouts.

I think the pro era compared to the amateurish era made a few differences and how we see the game played. Super League in NZ caught on for awhile but tradition took over especially when Rugby turned pro.

Grass roots in NZ will always be Rugby. Grass roots in OZ will always be Oz Rules, League etc but never say never (always) because the ‘New Roots’ especially from Asia aren’t our traditional ‘roots’. Whether that’s good, bad or indifferent isn’t the point but my roots are of grass roots (ANZAC) lineage and I’m sure the greats like Horan etc feel the same.

As for Campese? What a player

The Wrap: What’s the real lowdown with grassroots rugby? Part Two

I prefer the ‘grub’ comments.

Whether it be the HuHu/ Witchetty grub or Ritchie Grub, we all bleed the same and taste like peanut butter

"They've got Mickey Mouse coaching": Hansen shocks with stinging Cheika rebuke

I think it’s safe to say that the beginning of the 6 Nations comp for a national team of the NH will be rusty. Similar to our SH season regarding selections, EOYT/AI etc without the over bloated ‘excuse’ of tiredness’

Bottom line is, no one knows but I’m pretty sure that Eddie Jones needed that win compared to Schmidt on a nationl scale. Shag on the other hand couldn’t give a rats, afterall, Ireland were the best team in the world only a few days ago.

Good cop, bad cop.

I think it’s also safe to say that the 6 Nations comp except for bragging rights wont have much bearing on the RWC in Japan similar to S15/RC.
Who cares about the super rugby or RC in a RWC year?

Number one ranked team from World Rugby isn’t the most important but it’s always nice to see where teams are at esp playing styles, hype, pressure and depth when all is said and done.

England have just shown their hand with their best team regarding attack, defence and most importantly line up.

Predictable Ireland bore themselves into a shock defeat by England

@Smug Nomore

Yeah but in all fairness, what exactly are you saying?
“”””NZ, you aren’t crowing anymore! This is probably the beginning of their inevitable decline.”””””?????

You could be right, afterall, ‘crowing’ is all about what exactly? Well done bro, after 100 years you’ve finally done it. Well played old mate and well ‘crowed’.

You’re numero uno, wear the crown with pride……you’re the greatest bro

LOL

The biter bit: Ireland wrong-foot the All Blacks in Dublin

Just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons.

Regarding SBW? He shouldn’t be fighting in boxing matches protecting his shoulder and ‘team NZ” shouldn’t be giving exceptions. Crotty was great but after SBW’s contract finishes by March (2019)……it’s going to be a new team

Pro sport is Pro, I’d be surprised if SBW under Shag doesn’t make the first 15 in 2019 in Japan.

Defence in Europe (Ireland) is one thing but attack in the mid field (12/13) is another. Just calculations but Ireland have shown their hand.

Regardless who wins, I doubt that Ireland will make the finals least of all the semi’s.

Just saying, that’s all……..as for Joe Shimdt, we’ve heard the same from Eddie Jones.

12 months is like a life time, 2 years ago EJ walked on water whilst drinking ‘saki’

The biter bit: Ireland wrong-foot the All Blacks in Dublin

Well, well, well.

Congrats to Eire.

As much as it hurts, congrats but it’s not over until the green shirt perks.

NZ are still number one, let’s not forget that minor/major detail.

And yes, as a Kiwi it hurts but………I luv it because after all, this is competition.

Coming for the cup? Irish knock off New Zealand 16-9

I can’t wait till the ‘Guardian” rears it’s ugly head and spouts its usual nonsense how the English are the best in the world now.

Obviously the Irish are the best, that’s a given……apparently they’re the best on the planet.

The Hedgehog defends his hedge against the Fox as England host the Springboks

Yeah, but it’s only because we cheat as do Man United

Yay, beers all around

Ireland vs All Blacks to decide the best rugby team on the planet

Could you imagine if Farrel the feral played for NZ with that late shoulder charge.

Red card for sure. Especially since the game was about penalties and kicks least of all tries.

On another note. Pollack (spelling) is playing awesome. Marx needs another beer fetcher to ease his work load but against the Poms you need mass and go forward. Smaller teams I’d have Kwagger in the mix.

At the end of the day, Rassie is building the team nicely.

I noticed that Eddie Jones has John Mitchell now for the Poms, Eddies running out of steam. As for the Boks, I noticed that Sticks (spelling) is there with Rassie with the coaching staff.

Ackermann and Rassie should be the be all and end all.

Sorry about the spelling folks regarding Saffa names but the horse has truly bolted

@Rob M

“Because England rubbed Faf out”???

wOW, I’m pretty sure that Faf’s dad is a Saffa.

Ya learn something new every day I s’pose 🙂

I’d go

NZ v Eng 24….16
NZ v Ire 32….12

Ireland vs All Blacks to decide the best rugby team on the planet

Dear Peter,
As much as you’re good at ‘hurling’ stuff on the world stage.
Most kiwi pundits (myself included) were congratulatory when the Irish won in Chigago
Well done…….but here’s where the fun stopped, in Dublin, you were beaten in front of your own crowd whilst pulling excuses out of your arse why the Oirish lost.

Well done. BTW, it was Suzy that served stew in Ireland. What’s the saying?
Best served cold???

Well done, welcome to world rugby

Stew doesn’t taste awesome but in Dublin the

Ireland vs All Blacks to decide the best rugby team on the planet

Moaman.

If there’s one commentator I can’t stand it’ll be Jeff Wilson. He adds nothing. Tony Johnson and Justin Marshall are great but ‘Golden Boy’ is worse than Ian Smith on the side lines.

Murray Mexted with Stu Wilson on the side lines would be my pick of the bunch as far as commentary goes.

Maybe George Gregan and Jeff Wilson on the side lines? Golden boy? He’s worse than Kearnsy but at least Kearnsy is entertaining

Seven talking points from Bledisloe Game 3

Cody Taylor’s handbag looked pretty decent as well I might add

Off with the heads 🙂

Seven talking points from Bledisloe Game 3

“baulk him”. Is that new speak?
Are you saying ‘obstruction’, ‘shepherding’ or what?
“There is no way you shadow/mark outside players in that situation”?

As for laws? You said it yourself “Genia saw Reid pick up and if he had moved forward to tackle, Ned would have an easy support then. Remember that Ned has to stay bound until the ball is out. If he breaks early, he will be penalised”

There’s a hell of a lot of “if’s” in your statement mzilikazi

Seven talking points from Bledisloe Game 3

To be honest, I thought Folau had a good game. I think the Wallabies are missing someone with spark to ease Folau’s duties instead of playing all positions at once out wide, cente and back. Someone like JOC like in the days of Mitchell out wide and centre. Maybe bring in Quade Super Dooper for flair?

The Wallabies aren’t firing on all cylinders.

Apart from the Wallabies back/full back/half back woes…….the Wallabies scrum wasn’t much to write home about either. 2 months ago the Aussie press were singing praises about the ‘new’ forward coach.

Pocock and Hooper should play in their natural positions and Cheika should visit Korea instead of Japan next year. McQueen and Deans should be coaching or at least in the coaching fray because Cheika is starting to live up to the fans expectations or lack there of.

Seven talking points from Bledisloe Game 3

“Well, if they were dependent on NZ money to have the Wallabies ranked number one consistently…”

Wow, as opposed to professionals in Sweden, or “not”?

Neutral? you ain’t neutral, unless you say our refs are better compared to the Swedish then how dare you. Lol

Best thing about NZ rugby, we don’t need Swedish “neutral” refs. But you’re more than welcome to ‘ref’ snow boarding on a Scania

Wallabies vs All Blacks Bledisloe Cup Game 1 preview and prediction

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

One slight criticism, just tuned in. Sounds a bit rude but why put videos up when no-one watches them?

No one cares about videoes.

As for the Ozzies? Bastards, but we love you anyway. lol

I wan’t to see how Keiran takes the team as Captain compared to last year, there’s about three captains on the field. Whitelock and Barrett aren’t them and nor is Cane.

As South Africans and Rasmussen v Shag??

LOVE IT.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the left wheeling scrum (and penalties) go Moodies way against the Ockers

Wallabies vs All Blacks Bledisloe Cup Game 1 preview and prediction

To be honest, I’m not sure what’s worse…a cocky Ocker or a paddy that thinks the world loves them.
You guys are both FANDANGO……”FLY ME TO THE MOON”

Wallabies vs Ireland highlights: International rugby union live scores, blog

Orange is the new Black

Pretend you are the next Springbok coach

I never thought I’d say this but “Go the Ockers”

Steady Eddie?????? Never EVER trust a man you can blind fold with a rubber band.

England, bloody England

I lived in Ireland for over 4 years, personally I think they believe that “everyone loves the Irish”, “what’s the craic” and all that etc etc.
Yep, they whinge better than most but at least they’re good at it.
If I had my youth again, I’d by pass that place. in a heart beat. They believe their own shyte and most if not all people I’ve met don’t like them.
But then again, everyone loves NZ. 🙂

Stop the whinging Ireland, you're better than that

Anything can happen NT, the Wobs were shocking at forward play 2 years ago, they mastered it esp with scrumage, well maybe not master it but they were competitive.

Ockers deserved the final in my opinion. Having said that, Its a best time than any to experiment with new blood with the All Black camp.

I’m looking forward to the Pumas and Boks regarding ‘front ball’

Our backs are second to none but we need more players like Retalic, Thompson, Hore etc to set the platform.

I think we’re jumping ahead of ourselves. Lineouts were obviouse

Quade's not the Wallabies' Messiah. He's not even a naughty boy
