Why can’t we have a series of matches b/w aus and aus a.
Veterans will get (much needed) practice and young guns will get (test match) experience. Would definitely like to see labushange bowling (and exploiting conditions ) on day 4- day 5 pitches, before ashes.

Not just for Australia but they are vanishing from test cricket in general. Reckon only Yasir Shah features regularly (for Pakistan). Other nations prefer offies over leggies for some *odd* reason.
Pitches are getting flatter (world over) and wrist spinners get more purchase on flatter wickets (no secret). Labushange should definitely take his bowling seriously.

Couldn’t agree more! Australia vs australia a sounds perfect. Some *additional* practice before ashes wouldn’t hurt. (They need to try out new strategies to wrap the tail up, swiftly)

I feel leggies are at their *lethal* best when they bowl in bursts. Not everyone is a Warne.
If Starc is leaking runs at one end, you can’t expect Swepson to hold the other. Offies, I reckon have “more miles” in them. Maybe that’s the reason they picked Sundar over Kuldeep Yadav.

I believe Labushange should (be allowed to) shoulder more bowling responsibilities. He has the potential to become a handy batting all-rounder.

I reckon more than the pitch, it was the mindset of English batters that led to their eventual capitulation. Though I agree serving rank turners where whoever bats first, wins should not happen in international matches. Skill and not luck (toss) should dicatate who wins the game.
