By extension of your assist stats you’d rate Karl Malone as a top PF because of his scoring. The two were very good, great even, but they don’t compare to the true greats.

Why John Stockton is the greatest NBA point guard of all-time

Brisbane will be better. Sobey-Gliddon-Patterson offers a bit.

NBL 2019-20 ladder predictions

GWS v Bulldogs Prelim was one of the best live sport events I’ve been too. Cracker game and the boutique size was a really special night.

GWS are tearing up the AFL, so where are the fans?

4 NSW NRL clubs currently average less than 15k. The attendances reflect NSW approach to live sport.

GWS are tearing up the AFL, so where are the fans?

Perhaps the thing that seems most absent from their 2016 run is the quality of defence. Morris gone. Marcus Adams gone. JoJo has been up and down since a tremendous season in 2016. As an Eagles fan the solid base of defence establishes everything else. Dogs had it but it’s gone now.

The nowhere Bulldogs are letting another season slip away

Do Swans actually have youngest squad? Or were they just they youngest 22 last round?

Is it time for John Longmire to leave the Sydney Swans?

Feel like Foxtel could offer alternate broadcasts where they change things up a bit.

AFL media misses the point, yet again

A real challenge I guess is how to innovate the broadcast. When “On the Couch” shows behind the goals footage you nearly jizz yourself at what you learn. Hard to do effectively in prime time.

AFL media misses the point, yet again

You are correct, I wasn’t old enough to enjoy footy in late 80’s. But as Slane points out, we aren’t talking about the top games, we are talking about the week-in week-out run of the mill footy.

AFL media misses the point, yet again

That’s what’s missing. A depth of analysis. We are just churning out more shock jocks.

AFL media misses the point, yet again

The general footy media can’t debate “X’s & O’s” they resort to trashing the game as a means of creating discussion. None are able to make compelling discussions about a teams structure at clearances, or their approach to forward line set ups. They trash “keepings off” but can actually articulate why some teams a good at it, what teams do in response to it or what might be the next evolution.

I’ve seen footy in the 80’s. It was simple and similar to local footy today. Not sure why anyone wants to try and replicate that.

AFL media misses the point, yet again

No one kicks 65 goals yet Lynch & Reiwoldt get 120 goals combined. Those are some narrow windows.

My 23 crazy, fearless predictions for the 2019 AFL season

“Vardy and Hickey will feed a midfield that looks more dangerous than ever”

You know we used to have Kerr-Cousins-Judd as our midfield right?

2019 AFL season preview: West Coast Eagles

I’m not sure Marvel are the owners of Norse mythology.

When the King of Asgard meets an AFL guernsey

TLDR; isn’t Odin king of Asgard?

When the King of Asgard meets an AFL guernsey

Waterman as best 22 with Masten out. I don’t know about that. When you’ve got JK + Darling + resting ruck you can’t have Waterman on top of that. Better off with the extra run.

I’d think Hickey is the lead ruck. Vardy is a good forward (for a ruckmen) and not a great with his tap work.

2019 AFL season preview: West Coast Eagles

I’ll pay Reid as an asset you missed in the GF. But having a committee of blokes don’t make up for the fact eventually someone ends up one out with a key forward.

Melbourne's and Collingwood’s rise is not guaranteed

Both sides have flaws. The Pies backline remains undersized and while Mason Cox owned a prelim, there is still a lot riding on him. Pies every chance of a 0&3 start as they are a 3&0.

Melbourne, well the margin for error is even less. What would a significant injury to Oliver or Gawn look like? Will Petracca ever arrive? Is Sam Weideman the very example you’re talking about, a couple of good months work and he was given the mantle as 2nd forward. That’s a lot for his skinny shoulders.

Melbourne's and Collingwood’s rise is not guaranteed

You’re correct. I’m confusing my Jeds and my Tom.

A new Jack will become king in 2019

I’m calling shotgun for Eagles. Thank you.

AFL trades: The top ten out-of-contract players to watch in 2019

Let’s be honest, no one is paying attention to Gold Coast.

AFL trades: The top ten out-of-contract players to watch in 2019

Gaze is honorable in his departure. He doesn’t cut it as a coach. Kings lacked imagination and got killed. Watching Casper pull up while Bogut stood under the rim was amateur stuff.

The Bullets and Kings just weren't up to NBL championship standard

Funny how Giants naysayers over look the GWS hit rate on drafting mids. They’ve nailed recent years and will reap the reward.

Ten AFL talking points from JLT week one

Lol at an editors article with spelling mistake in 1st paragraph.

Ten AFL talking points from JLT week one

Technically you’re both wrong. The significance of the goal square is now that you aren’t on a ridiculous angle if you mark beside the goal post.
