Done deal: Wallabies star signs with NRL powerhouse in brutal reality check for RA at start of 'golden decade'
Was pondering where Teagan could play in 15s, agree possibly 12.
'Unbelievable': Levi sisters star in Australia's EPIC Dubai 7s triumph over Black Ferns, men rally
Agree Maddi’s defence needs a bit of work. It’s different these days but back in the day Campo’s attack offset his miserable defence.
'Unbelievable': Levi sisters star in Australia's EPIC Dubai 7s triumph over Black Ferns, men rally
Have been a Teagan fan since she debuted in Dubai 2021, you could see the potential. But Teagan and Maddi play different positions & have different roles. Its like saying who is better the striker or mid fielder, you can’t, you need both.
'Unbelievable': Levi sisters star in Australia's EPIC Dubai 7s triumph over Black Ferns, men rally
You will never get a commentary team that everyone likes, personally I’m not a fan of Rikki Swannell. I was irritated by a couple of the commentators during the WXV but its all just an opinion.

I’m guessing the coach would have got advice from the S&C

Maddison played for the Suns

With Longbottom I’m guessing it is load management, he has just come back from injury.

ALF likes to also tackle upright & then hold the player up off the ground. The problem is when the player is coming at pace you get the increased chance of a head clash. I’m sure Tim Walsh will be providing some advice to her.
'Unbelievable': Levi sisters star in Australia's EPIC Dubai 7s triumph over Black Ferns, men rally
Cracking game & a terrific win by the women. Terita really stepped up with Alysia Lefau-Fakaosilea out. Teagan Levi is now one of the most important players in the women’s team. Also have to mention NZ Jorja Miller is a superstar.
'Unbelievable': Levi sisters star in Australia's EPIC Dubai 7s triumph over Black Ferns, men rally
The women are a quality team but in reality we’re not really tested. The knockout stages will be interesting, the USA physicality is often a challenge for women. But Black Ferns still overall favourite. As for men they just didn’t look good in the first 2 games, not sure what was missing. Really tough QF against Sth Africa.
Aussie women launch Olympic season in style but men start with straight defeats - yet somehow make quarters
Agree, need some rugby IQ, that was always my thoughts on Trae Williams also.
Meet Australia's answer to Boks duo Kolbe and Kurt-Lee - and how they could change the way the little men are seen
An enjoyable read
RA must not fixate on an Aussie coach - why Ronan O'Gara is best choice to lead Wallabies after the Eddie calamity
I actually like this rugby content but I do like 7s, so find it interesting to get a bit of background on the players. As for the speed factor, I find that interesting as one of the issues the men’s 7s team has had over the years is a lack of out right pace. I can’t help but think part of the success of the team over the last 2 years has been Corey Toole & Darby Lancaster. They aren’t currently in the squad so have wondered who is the next speedster.
Meet Australia's answer to Boks duo Kolbe and Kurt-Lee - and how they could change the way the little men are seen
Looking forward to see him in action. Speed is such a valuable asset in 7s.

Some rugby good news. Great to have them longer in rugby.
Meet the 'ridiculous' sevens sister act who can change Aussie rugby by winning gold and a World Cup
I would add Darby Lancaster to the wish list. He was outstanding this season.

Sure they will get the sponsors, negotiations will just be a bit more challenging & maybe not get the same level of $$.
'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year
You would not want to be the Head of Commercial heading into the RA office this morning, wondering how can you sell rugby & Wallabies to potential partners/sponsors. At the same time knowing RA is financially ‘challenged’ & desperate for funds.
'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year
No, just a general comment that the Brumbies have been consistently competitive on the field. Whilst winning is the goal, have reset my expectations on Australian rugby & just want to be competitive. As for reducing the number of teams, whether it is right or wrong it does not matter it isn’t an option RA is considering, so I no longer ponder about it.
'Bold step': NSW Rugby confirms RA alignment in bid to rid game of 'conflicts and self interest'
The Tahs may as well give it a go, they shouldn’t have but have been struggling on & off the field for a long time. Do wonder if the team had been successful on the field like the Brumbies & commercially doing well whether they would have been as keen on this proposal. Don’t usually associate the Tahs & altruism.
'Bold step': NSW Rugby confirms RA alignment in bid to rid game of 'conflicts and self interest'
Have to say it’s time to move on from the Eddie story. Will admit I haven’t read the above article (sorry Christy) & I understand it gets the clicks/ reads just by the amount of comments here, including mine. So appreciate mine is a pointless perspective. Just for information, over the weekend was the Oceania 7s up in QLD. Good to see the Fiji women qualified for the Olympics as did for the first time the Samoa men. The Aussie women won the title, sort of, they actually just played 5 matches against a NZ development squad the Fiji. The Aussie men tried out a few new players while Aussie women was all their big guns. Also good to see Laurie Fisher joining the Junior Wallabies next year. Just a few positives. :
'I am a better coach': Eddie's head-turning take, says several teams keen on him despite Wallabies flop
Sure can’t stop him talking to the Roosters but probably just reflective of the lack of trust & confidence that RA will offer a quality contract. Just another negative rugby story.
NRL powerhouse target Wallabies young gun as replacement for Suaalii
Correct. Just think we need to move on from just selling the international component especially as Super Rugby no longer goes to Argentina or South Africa.
