Spot on WE. What’s worse is this is a deliberate technique utilised to shoulder charge and injure an opponent. The delayed arm coming around gives the illusion of attempting to wrap the arm. Coupled with the timing this is as cheap as it gets. Out and out foul play.

'What you permit, you promote': Reds slam late 'cheap shot', HMP set to start ahead of Lynagh in Rebels grudge match

Agree with you there D10. Nothing personal against Cheika, but RA needs to show that they are prepared to change. Fresh faces are needed as opposed to the preconceptions and inevitable controversy around selecting a previous coach.

'Everyone's in the hunt': RA won't rule out stunning Wallabies return after Cheika departs Argentina role

I gotta say Bobby. Blaming Carter for this failure is like blaming the headlights on a car for not working when the car has no battery (Eddie and his methodology being the battery). The kid is extraordinary and we need to support our talent even when it’s not working.

'Sad to see him go': Young gun Gordon says Wallabies won't be scarred from World Cup flop

Interesting you say that Jacko. I agree but I don’t think it’s the player fault. Australian rugby seems to jump from player to player haling them as the next great. Fans jump onboard and suddenly , kids barely out of school have the pressure of a nation expecting miracles. Look at quade in 2010-2011. One ofthe most naturally gifted players I’ve seen but hadn’t yet earned his stripes at a national level so didn’t know how to wear them. Suddenly they don’t perform the miracle and cast aside. Latest victim appears to be an extremely talented Carter G. My point is we need to develop and support our talent rather than pile on the pressure before they’re ready

Eddie Jones says he needs to 'give myself an uppercut' but '100 percent' committed to coaching Wallabies

RTL. Questions should be asked. Why can’t he speak up? This isn’t 1984. I’m scratching my head too. Whether you think this person or the other is a better choice at 10, do you not think it’s a curious decision to toddle off to a World Cup with 1 inexperienced flyhalf?

'F---ing explain some of these decisions': Ex-Wallaby star's scathing Eddie critique, coach defends vision

Looking at the games where we are on, and our players do have the basic skills. We have genuine world class players, I see the problem in how the skills are applied. Whether this is a lack of rugby IQ, coaching or a combination I don’t know, probably both. But I look at a coach completely leaving out experienced 10s and going with a young 10 from a losing SR side with no apparent backup or support and I look at poor coaching and selection. The kicking dual at the end of the Fiji game is case in point, absolute lunacy and had to be part of Eddie’s “low possession” game plan. Clearly the players were playing by numbers. Foley or Quade play and it’s a completely different game, we were lacking a clever rugby player to change the narrative when plan A was failing. England suffered the same fate under Eddie

The uncomfortable truth: Whether under Rennie or Jones, the Wallabies just aren't good enough

Disagree entirly olfella. We definitely have the talent. Depth not so much, but that’s because we share with other codes. Problem is the best side isn’t in Europe. Eddie’s smash and grab, turned into a face saving narrative of “building for the future”. What a joke. If RA thinks building for the future means throwing the experienced old heads out, to toss our young talent into the fire and burn their confidence, then they’re in for a long road back. Maybe there will be no fans left to watch.

The uncomfortable truth: Whether under Rennie or Jones, the Wallabies just aren't good enough

RTL: Surely Eddie should expect questions from journalists when he takes 1 flyhalf to a rwc, omits a wallaby staple in hooper, names a captain who hasn’t played in Australia for years and leaves out a swag of other seemingly deserving players while including some who have shown nothing this season. Not calling him wrong but, it’s not being negative when journalists ask questions. We want to know, therefore the journalists are doing their job. Eddie’s needs to remember most of the journalists are invested in the game as fans and are just doing their job. Show some respect Eddie.

Hahaha, just outstanding JD

Predicted Wallabies 23 for RWC opener: Front row tweak, bag handler to finisher, what to expect from Georgia

I tried this perthstayer but Im at complete apathy. Maybe Jones is a double agent and wants us all to watch league. It certainly feels that way.

Suli barely has the right to be on the bus to Ballymore. Im still trying to work out if this is all satire.

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

A cracking film that

Insanity, it appears Eddie has changed tactics from smash and grab to smash, fall over through the window and get caught

Sounds like a very Rugby Australia thing to do Guess. Toss a rising talent in the deep end in the faint hope they pull it off. We’ve show time and time again this can destroy a youngsters confidence, sometimes never to return to form. How about we avoid the temptation of the possible sugar hit and let an experienced 10 take the heat of the ABs. Let’s take some pointers from NZ development strategies and blood our young talent, instead of setting them up to fail in an environment they probably aren’t ready for. And let’s be honest, it’s not changing the result regardless.

Exclusive: Axe set to fall on Wallabies regular as Eddie makes selection statement ahead of Bledisloe

Eddie’s theory of kicking because most tries are scored within 3 phases seems a bit bizarre to me. If you kick the ball away all the time doesn’t that give the opposition many more opportunities with 1st phase/ broken play ball? Especially inaccurate kicking with no chasers, which appeared was the goal on the weekend

'It's a marathon': Wallabies not panicking as Kerevi puts hand up to start against Cheika's Pumas

I thought the same maxxlord. Unfortunately White couldn’t control the game or facilitate the game plan. While white was busy kicking to chasers who either weren’t interested or didn’t know the kick was coming, our best and key game manager was shielded from the game. Just bizarre

'It's a marathon': Wallabies not panicking as Kerevi puts hand up to start against Cheika's Pumas

Cooper is better than hodge in all aspects of kicking ( aside from outright distance). So hodge isn’t needed with quade at 10. On the weekend Cooper had almost no kicking duties, didn’t play first receiver and appeared to have very little playmaking duties. Very strange indeed. Not sure what Jones is playing at but but it was clearly part of a plan that failed miserably

Could be another sneaky jab at «The horse guy» too

100% Ken and full respect to Ardie. I just think it takes away from the contest to talk about calls that you disagree with after the game. It comes across as “we won that game, but the ref”. It takes away from the the successful teams win and I think it’s unnecessary. To be fair to Ardie, Morges fished it out of him also, which is average.

'I scored it, brother': Ardie chokes back tears after 'disagreeing' with ref as Brumbies deny the 'Canes again

Ardie had plenty to say about it, and it was just as unnecessary as Tates sook. So no, he didn’t cop it.

Exactly PK, Full credit to Thorn and the reds but “tactical masterclass” is a way over the top. Wallabies fans have been screaming at their televisions for years to play more conservatively against kiwi sides. In an attempt to play “the Australian way” we play just the game that kiwi sides are masters at, giving them broken play opportunities time after time. and failing. If countless roar rookies can see this, surely a top level coach should see this. Again but, top job from the reds but gee, let’s keep the “tactical masterclass” in perspective and just call it good coaching long overdue.

ANALYSIS: The tactical masterclass that saw Thorn flip the script - and showed how teams can stop Chiefs

He doesn’t even look like hes trying now. The laziness he shows on the Field would have you dropped fron a local reserve grade side. He also looks like The slowest player on the field. When are we going to see this much talked about pace. Quality player but about time he stepped up.

'We defended like a pack of dogs': Tate leads Reds to stunning win after Thorn's huge call ends 10 years of pain

The Chefs. Love it. That needs to stick.

Super Rugby Pacific tipping week 12: Will the Chefs stay cooking for another week?

I think you nailed here luckyphil. I watch Suli needlessly getting involved at the breakdown and it just makes me think”is someone coaching him, does he know his role”. Then I watch some of his attacking and defensive decision making and it’s clear he is top shelf. He just doesn’t know his role by the looks. To me it looks like he lacks confidence in knowing what he should be doing, so he does nothing. The bloke has skills and nuance, I hope someone coaches him on how to use it
