Illias will take alot out of this season and learn from his mistakes. Needs to find a voice on attack when Souths look wayward but his back half of the year was very good from him. I know its a stretch but Adam Reynolds did won the comp 3 years into his NRL career and Lachy realistically is heading into his 3rd (but 2nd full year) year of the NRL.

Can Souths end their finals struggles in 2023?

I also think South’s are lacking a Brian To’o type of player who can slot into the backline and have 20 plus carries for 200-250 metres… Johnston scores alot of tries but his running metres are very limited, Graham is a good defensive centre and can have good carries, Taane Milne CAN be that guy but can have an error or 2 in him and Isaiah Tass just does his job defensively aswell.

I think something to add with Cook aswell is his passing from dummy-half this season has been very average at times…

Souths have Peter Mamouzelos who will take over from Cook if South’s re sign him or not or when Cook retires. They also signed a talented junior five-eigth but I can’t remember his name. I think he’s 17 years old so give him time to develop and he will be in the league within 3 ish years.

Souths have prop forward Davy Moale (19 yes old) who played a handful of games this year but only averaged 20 ish minutes. Moale has big wraps on him from Souths and prop Daniel Suluka-Fifita who they signed from the Roosters is very young aswell and I’m sure will develop just fine.

Yeah I agree. Wayne will have his troops fit, ready and prepared for finals footy but the Bunnies biggest test will be the Panthers in a few weeks. Bennett will need the Rabbitohs firing for that game and make sure Souths continue this form.

Walker and Mitchell torture Dragons' hopeless defence in 50-14 win

Well if they do end up winning another game this season then I’m sure we can have a party at Vau… I mean… Only joking 🙂

The Titans' forwards dominate the helpless Dragons

WA Sharks Fan,
I completely agree with you mate. I was so frustrated when Walker and Reyno weren’t named. I immediately knew that we weren’t going to win when Moses and Wighton were named.

'Basically non-existent': Moses and Wighton produce disastrous display

Bill,
I thought Wighton was average. His vision on attack is poor when it comes to passing and kicking but running is strong. Unfortunately Moses and Wighton were never going to work. NSW would’ve won if Reynolds and Walker were in the halves

Pete,
I thought Moses in the first half was okay with a few of his defensive decisions but overall was essentially non existent on attack.

I think the Bunnies will finish 3rd and earn that second round bye but the Bunnies face the Parramatta Eels in the next few weeks and then the Panthers in round 23. We will truely see how good the Bunnies are during these two games.

Cowboys concede eight straight tries as Walker produces another dominant display

Personally mate I think Liam Knight was challenge this when he goes to the judiciary. As with South Sydney, their slow starts or their 20* minutes where they just seem to disappear really shows the difference between them and the top two teams this year in the Storm and Penrith who always put in 80 minute performances. Souths take on Penrith in round 23 so we will really see where the Bunnies sit.

I just realised that… When I was actually writing this I got distracted at one stage and completely forgot about the adding up of those scores so I just put 180 in there. My bad… Won’t happen again… ????

Cody Walker gives Brad Fittler a selection headache as the Rabbitohs find their right winger

Yeah I love TPJ and I think he (if he actually gets picked) would improve the Blues second phase play with his offloads and can free up the players like Cook, Tedesco, Cleary etc.
