If anyone missed it (where were you?) Highlights…

Back from the Dreamtime into a dream?

Well said AJ – finally a balanced view!

Ashley-Cooper blames himself for loss

It is unfortunate that we don’t have the depth that the other two nations above us have. At the end of the day though we’re still ranked thrird in world, unfortunatly (or fortunatly) we play the top two teams on a consistent basis. At least that keps you sharp and at the end of the day by the end of the Tri Nations we could mathematically be in second spot..

Anyway win or lose I’ll be watching every game. They’re definatley building.

Wallabies says Deans is taking team down right path

It’s unfortunate that he dropped the ball in that tackle, it was a good hit though and of all the times to make a msitake…..AAC would put that away 9 times out of 10!

Is it his fault, I’d say no, the whole team has to put their hand up for that one…

Ashley-Cooper blames himself for loss

Love it – well done! And lets hope that it wasn’t a dream…..

What Robbie Deans said at half time

“… is it generally perceived that Australia will beat New Zealand SOON?”

I thought they summed that up quite nicely on the Rugby Club last night, AU still have a LOT of improvement ahead and will only get better, whereas the AB are about as good as they’re going to get…

How much of this predicament can Deans actually control?

I thought AF had a solid game (bar the first 15 mins) but if you don’t select Gits who has the same accuracy with the boot? Or where do you shift Gits to if you select them both?

All Blacks iron wall defeats the Wallaby attack

Obviously you want your team to win. But if they play with the same spirit they had on Sat in Christchurch, I won’t be going anywhere.

We're getting there, say the Wallabies

I thought AF had a fantastic game on Sat, did take him about 15 mins to settle but i guess that’s to be expected.

It also does what RD’s has been after, gives more options, hopefully putting pressure on the incumbent starters that their place isn’t guaranteed any more and there is someone willing and able to step up!

Still if Gits was to be relegated to the bench who would have the same strike rate with the boot?

No more guarantees for Giteau

Well written John guess we’re in the same boat, I also reckon they’ll come right. Will still be a few bumps along the road, but will get there in the end.

I’d love to see RD extended for another 4 years to follow through what he’s started..

Wallabies are not dead, just badly wounded

Well said Willy, I’d love to see him get his contract renewed fro the 2015 RWC. I also believe post RWC 2011 the team will be much more competitive. The results will follow.

Look how long it took Sir Clive to get there, why throw him out now? It is a tough thankless job (when you’re losing) let him finish what he started.

The argument for getting off Deans' back

I think this is just nore smoke and mirrors to detract attention away from the under performing Boks…

Maybe RD should try this as well…

South African Rugby President lashes out at rivals

Hey Rockin Rod – got them from the Green & Gold Rugby Site:

http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/awful-aussies-wallaby-player-ratings/

Pocock – 9 David Pocock had a blinder with a massive workrate. He made 23 tackles (10 more than anyone else) and was the turnover king. There was daylight between him and the rest, however, he didn’t actually outplay Richie McCaw. McCaw was magnificent, Pocock was just….outstanding. Bam will eventually be the ‘Richie McCaw’ of his day.

Wallaby boys thrashed by All Black men

I thought the only player that did put his hand up was Bam Bam, his stats well outshone the next player.

Also AAC was a bit off but I think that had more to do with the big hit he took early on. Also agree with some earlier posters I think Horne’s injury is a blessing in disguise.

Good piece again Spiro.

Wallaby boys thrashed by All Black men

Don’t forget although JDV was called before the citing commission – he did plead guilty!

Once again South African rugby just doesn't get it

I just hope King Will doesn’t take to long get into his stride, this being only his second international start this year.

As for QC running at Steyn that will be interesting as well, I still think all Steyn offers is is right boot! How often does he kick as opposed to pass?

Can’t wait, this is going to be a cracker – with any luck the Boks will head home 0 from 3!

Red-hot Wallaby halves put Boks on edge

This should be a corker – Bekker now out injured as well, things aren’t looking to rosy for the Boks. Lets just hope the Wallabies play the width of the field..

Space still vital, but don't forget the combinations

That Dagg try was something you would have expected of QC – but was absolutely fantastic and to get past Spies & Burger well done Dagg!

It's time for the Wallabies to defeat the Boks

Rusty – or you could say the the Blues were just following on their trend – WLWLWLWL which is how they went for most of the comp….

This weekend will be much closer though..

Springboks will bounce back with vengeance

Katzilla – if Rene is on he’ll be fantastic to watch he’s definitely got that x-factor!

Will the Boks come up with something new?

Interesting piece, and this game should be much closer than last week. Still however can’t see the boks winning this one what with the AB’s having their tails up and PDV playing players out of position.

JDV was running around all over the shop looking for intercepts last week, give him the no 12 back and that’ll be a step in the right direction.

Agree with the comments some have made about the fitness levels, just look at Gurthro 20 mins into last weeks game, he looked cream crackered! Never mind Smit, who didn’t even finish the full 80 for the majority of the Sharks games this year.

Also don’t believe the Boks will change the way they play, they’ll still kick the ball back to the AB’s who will push them for it! There only hope is to stop the quick throw in and kick it deep into the stands.

Ab’s will take this one – but for the Wallabies, lets hope it’s not another 4 try bonus point game!

Springboks will bounce back with vengeance

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Gits. Granted he has had a few off games, and as mentioned before need to get his confidence back. But given his averages over his test career (which I found the other day and now for the life of me can’t remember where) he’s got a good rate.

Wasn’t he over 80% successful for the S14 this year?

Even Sir Jonny doesn’t get picked for the starting side (England)!

Wallabies really need a specialist goal kicker

Joseph, we’re on the same page matey – never said he was unfairly targeted, rather that given his reputation you would expect ref’s to know what’s coming and as others have pointed out, try to make sure you as the ref don’t miss it!

He deserved everything he got and then some!

The Boks have to play more rugby, less thugby

Tragic, you’re right about the speed – but maybe that’s the difference between Genia & Burgess?
Where Genia gets the ball out quickly Burgess can often be seen standing around like a Seagull at a picnic!

Space is the Wallabies' final frontier

Good piece as usual Brett.

M.O.C have to agree with you there, credit the style of play to whoever you want Reds, AB’s French kicking the ball back isn’t the answer. They’ll just attack from their 22 and you’ll just end up tackling the whole game!
