Like me sport! Like me teams winning. Go the Knights! Go the Jets! Go the Blues! Go the Aussies! Ps. As long as there's an Aussie playing, I'll be watching, beer in hand.

Good proposals.

How to repay the Warriors in 2021? Stretch the gratitude into 2022 as well

They don’t have any salary cap space because over the last few years they have payed overs to basically everyone they’ve signed.

Knight watch: Is Newcastle's 2016 team the worst in NRL history?

it was Gagai’s 100th match, poor fella.

I’m pretty sure he did score a few ODI hundreds.

Bailey dropped for South Africa tour: Marsh, Pattinson, Bird recalled

One question. Would you rate Mitchell Johnson a world class bowler?
Because Hughes had to bat to him in the early shield season, among others. Despite this Hughes still managed
to score runs. I can see how this supports your argument that Hughes is susceptible to pace bowling.

Have the selectors turned their back on Phil Hughes?

You are wrong. Hughes has in fact scored a mountain of shield runs. On point 2 i believe the answer is; its not how you get them, its how many.

Have the selectors turned their back on Phil Hughes?

Give Hogg a crack. No one can pick that fellas wrong one!

Nathan Lyon should be in Australian ODI side

Lehmann it seems is a great manager and bonder of players, however, I have my doubts about his selection choices and about some of his reported statements.

Is 130kmh too slow to be a Test bowler?

And here I thought the Shield competition was the grounds upon which a batsmen argued his case for promotion. Doolan sits below at least fifteen other batsmen in way of performances. His average is below 40. To me this seems to be an unfair selection.

Doolan and Coulter-Nile must play at Sydney

Hughes performs just as well and better in FC then the blokes in national side.

It's time we all forgot about Phil Hughes

Actually Ronan it appears little bob has placed Hughes at 3 in his batting line-up. Hughes is one of the best bats in the country and thoroughly deserves to be the next picked. I do agree that unless someone is performing badly the team should be left for at least the rest of this series.

It's time we all forgot about Phil Hughes

Well Hughes will get some practice against the spin then won’t he.

It's time we all forgot about Phil Hughes

Well that’s not true. Hughes has the far superior first class average with a better conversion rate. Watson has also received a much longer run in the team to settle.

The worth of Watson: He's better than you think

Don’t forget Mr Hughes.

ASHES: Talking points as Australia regain the Ashes

What a century! Keep whacking em Watto!. I like George, however I have my doubts as to whether he is a capable enough to excel in test cricket. I would rather see Watson moved to number 6. This will allow him to come in when the ball is old and play his shots with freedom in the knowledge that the ball most likely won’t swing in and trap him lbw. If he is able to come in and back himself like he did yesterday he would make an extremely valuable asset to this team. This would also allow a young batsman such as Phillip Hughes to come in into the top order. I believe all Hughes needs is an extended run in the top order of this team and his game will develop to the appropriate standard. However these are all changes for changes sake and shouldn’t occur until at least the South African tour in the event of Bailey (possibly) being found out by the South African quicks.

The worth of Watson: He's better than you think

Ooh I’m not convinced that was enough evidence to reverse the decision. He may well have nicked but on relatively close calls surely a combination of snicko and hotspot to result in an overturn.

Rip in boys! If the poms weren’t wearing pants I bet you’d spot a couple of knees shaking like a bobble head on a gravel road. Harris, go son! (Said with an accompanying fist bump).

To me it seems the difference between the sides has been a lack of ability on part of the English to form one or two key partnerships per innings, poor fielding and a lunatic paceman with a ghastly moustache. The English have had batsman score runs, however rarely has the batsman at the other end been able to also occupy the crease. Oh, and isn’t the definition of madness; repeating something that is continuously not working. The poms need top shelve the hook shot for a while! Australia are so far are superior in that they have been able to form a couple of key partnerships an innings. Granted it does help when your captain and best batsmen is scoring runs. Cook needs to lift his game and lead from the front if the English are any hope of posing a stand in this series. Champions don’t usually go without a fight and the Australian batting unit is still pretty brittle should Clarke and a few others who have been scoring fail.

P.s. I really hope we belt the pommy buggers! 5 – 0 baby!

ASHES: England on a slippery slope to a 5-0 result?

The time lost due to rain delays thus far will be quite easily found. Especially if the rain goes away and comes again another day (a day at least a working week away). I hope this test doesn’t crawl to a draw and at least provides enough excitement heading into the WACA test.

Rogers is looking very scratchy but is sticking around so kudos to him. Warner started well but lost his head. However he is in good touch so he will be back, raring to fire in the second dig. Watson is batting alright but needs to find a way to get off strike. He can’t keep blocking out maidens and hitting the occasional boundary as this will stifle any momentum that is built.

The English bowlers aren’t doing anything extremely threatening so it will be interesting if Rogers and Watson can find their feet and put Australia right on top.
