A good chance for the Jets as Nabbout and Nordstrand both involved deep in the Sydney area.
The strike fell to Hoole on the penalty spot but its a really poor effort that ends up deep in the stands. Should really have done better there, the ex-Sky Blue.

HALFTIME:
As the halftime whistle blows, the scoreline remains unchanged.
Filip Holosko had the first chance just 60 seconds into the match but a huge save from Jack Duncan denied him. Alex Wilkinson found the crossbar later in the half, but it was Andrew Nabbout who spurned the clearest chance of the evening so far.
Nabbout stepped up to the penalty spot after Andrew Hoole was judged to have fouled Rhyan Grant, but the winger failed to find the target and missed as he searched for the top right corner. It could have been a dream lead at the break for the visiting Jets but alas it wasn’t to be.
Newcastle are well and truly in this one however, as they seek to avoid the wooden spoon.
