There is a whole world out there Ken. Open your mind up mate. No way should a Kiwi get any preference over anyone else.

RA's new HP director 'totally open' to foreign coach as RA sets timeline, CEO reacts to player dismay over Eddie

Your comments on Brisbane club rugby do not accord with my appraisal. Overweight forwards and flighty backs are common in rugby, full stop. But the Brisbane competition is a very decent standard.

Fears for Rebels' future as debt threatens their Super Rugby existence - but CEO says 'we will be fine'

Yeah, like AFL, League and pretty well every successful competition in the world. Both my sons have been involved in football from age 5, one has just got his first semi-pro contract ($100 a game, so maybe not really semipro 😂 -but it’s a start), he just turned 19, and I haven’t seen any training on a Friday night in all those years and 3 different NPL clubs. I can only relate my own experience. And we do go to A-league games occasionally, now Roar are back at Suncorp. We would go a lot more in winter. We go to lots of rugby games in winter, heaps.

With so much festive football to celebrate, will anyone turn up?

A-league should switch to winter. The summer tactic has run its course. It’s competing with EPL etc over summer. My son stay up half the night to watch those games, live. It should be played when we’re all involved in football, from March to October.

What a brilliant, reserved and considered response by Quade Cooper. This guy has 1,000,000,000 times the maturity of 99% of roar posters combined.

They lost to Italy mate. It wasn’t because of one kick. They lost the game, not the final kick.

'What a disgrace. I feel sorry for Japan': Sonny Bill's blistering smackdown of 'full of crap' Eddie Jones

Good to see all the angry old men who are sick of Eddie and never want to read about him again are still reading and posting and reading and posting… at every opportunity 😂
The hate-filled vitriol that fills these comments is all you need to understand what is really eating at the soul of Australian rugby.
Social media is a very destructive tool. You are all part of it.
Well done, winners.
You reap what you sow.

Eddie Jones set to be appointed Japan coach six weeks after walking out on Wallabies

I’m taking up space in your head 😂 .
Commiserations on the final mate. 😂

Eddie Jones has second interview with Japan weeks after quitting Wallabies

well that’s a pity, but predictable. Good luck to the young man. Hope he goes well.

Someone get this guy off the grub and into the training. Or else it will just be one injury after another for the rest of his career.

'Not here to come second': Why Tupou's arrival at the Rebels shapes as most important moment in club's history

Holding grudges and looking backwards won’t do anything for Australian rugby. But that’s what angry old men spend most of their time doing.
Good luck to you Eddie and best wishes for a great future in the game.

How is he ‘self-entitled’? He is a professional rugby player in the open market. Brad Thorn switched and swapped codes and even countries, yet he is lauded as a hero who can do no wrong.
Welcome to the real world of professional sport. He is ‘entitled’ to play wherever andfor ever he wants to.

Yep, chosen Australia, moved here as a young kid, attended school here, represented Queensland and Australia in rugby league, then turned his back in Australia to go and play for NZ in rugby.
What a guy!

If Kiwis and Poms are allowed to play, Origin might be about to stumble into eligibility rules that work

So, by that comment you do condone the abuse then.

You fool. Lawyers are there to allow the court to decide. And in cases like this, to facilitate access to justice for those who couldn’t afford it otherwise. How much work do you do for free (pro bono) or where being paid is contingent on winning?
Thought so.

Vickery and Henson join list of legends in major concussion lawsuit against World Rugby

Huh? Why? Super Rugby is not rugby. It’s the monster that needs to be slayed. Reds rugby, GPS rugby, club rugby, predates SR by decades and will outlive SR by decades as well.

'You can't sell a secret': Biggest issues facing Australian rugby - and why it's in better shape than meets the eye

Scott Barrett as captain? Interesting. After what happened in the RWC final.
Maybe tempting fate a little? 😂
A very, very good player. But captain of the All Blacks? After Richie, no one really seems qualified.

The reason for the collapse in support is Super Rugby. It’s so blinking obvious.
Why are so many in denial of this?
Weird.
The product, which is our main product, is terrible! It’s horrible! It’s boring! It’s completely unengaging! And those are its best points.
Because, more than anything, it has been an absolute disaster for Australian rugby.

Where did I say it’s better to have an oral contract? Obviously not. Written is better and a Deed is best. My comments are on the enforceability an oral contract.
You seem emotional, focus on the facts, don’t invent stories to try and discredit me. It makes you look silly.

Rugby News: RA hunting missing million after contract blunder, Suaalii worth 10x more than his deal, McKellar's big win

Well, I might get the brief, however I can assure you I won’t be doing anything for free.
Lawyers are required by law to have a written agreement in place for any engagement. No such requirements on the RA or French RU.

More often than not, it isn’t hard to prove. Especially when these are significant organisations and their subsequent conduct would tend to confirm the agreement. Add in sworn testimony under oath, supporting communications etc., it just not hard if push comes to shove.

Many contracts are verbal and even more are partly in writing and partly verbal. There often isn’t a problem proving the terms. Witnesses, conduct that supports the contract and written material that supports the contract are often easily available and provable.
I have enforced many such contracts on behalf of clients.

A contract can be verbal, written, or partly verbal and partly written. It’s still binding. That is the law in Australia and it’s also the law in France. Only contracts that deal in land must be in writing to be valid. And even for those there are exceptions based on equitable principles.

This sort of positivity and looking to the future won’t go down well on the roar. 😂
