Sheek I am well aware of this. I had 2 boys go through a CAS school.

My point though is that this is inevitable and I’m not sure how much RA is to blame for it.

COMMENT: Australian rugby is a depressing picture - the RA board must be axed and the constitution changed

I think processes in place for improving skill levels and a plan for coaching coaches up to a higher level – I’d like to see those as among the main issues.

I wouldn’t worry about the Jorgo deal, the Suali’i one was way worse.

The one on Lynagh was LATE. He got penalised for it.

Five things we learned: One area Gordon must fix to convince Wallabies boss, ABs bruiser should be on notice

Nice words, but we don’t know how a new group would go, or what they would do. Also some of the complaints are subjective, like:
– GPS schools converting to soccer and AFL (is RA to blame for this?)
– Lowest-ever skilled player and coach base (unsubstantiated, even if appearing to be accurate).
The question is – is the set-up so broken that we need to have another crack? If a new group cannot fix these things or stop the slide, what are they putting in place to get rid of themselves.
I do agree the game in Aust is broken, in that there is too little accountability, too little connection with the followers and general public, declining skill and coaching levels compared to the rest of the world. Recent coaching appointments are encouraging, I must say.

Well, he won’t do that at the new gig, will he? It’s like any work place, once you have resigned, your work ethic is not the same.

Super Rugby teams round 8: Tahs drop Marky Mark, Kellaway returns for Rebels, HMP replaces Lynagh

Tahs 4-5 look a bit light on as 5-6ers both, but the bench has big Miles and another big backrower.

Front row stocks hammered though, tough to win if you get penalised on your own scrum. Have to be smart there.

Have we inserted the best club rugby prop yet?

Yeah – late shots are illegal

That’s the one. And not a bit late.

I’m talking about the Lynagh one. That was a cheap shot. Big tough guy to put a shot on someone who has passed the ball and is not protecting himself.

Cheap shots. Hard legal hits, fine.

Exactly – the best grade player. The 2nd grader got picked because he’s in the development pathways.

“The Junior Wallabies prop started for Randwick in second grade over the weekend, yet wore the No.1 jersey against the Rebels a week earlier.”

Just staggering. NSW will pick only props contracted tot heir senior or development program. What about the best grade props? Surely there are ones there who are significantly better equipped to scrum against the Rebels than Jack Barrett currently is.

Yeah talk about deflection

I went to a Tigers game at Leichhardt Oval the other day (2nd or 3rd league game of my life, a friend who is a season ticket holder took me), 15,000 and packed, fantastic atmosphere.

15,000 sounds given the running costs of that stadium will presumably be lower than a 60% empty 40,000 seater.

It’s a vibe.

What personal attack?

Do you get that no one can say with certainty what single factor caused a calf or Achilles injury. But we know higher loads increases your risk.
