It was in the first press conference. Now give yourselves an upper cut, nothing to see here, maaaaaate.

Feel for the Force and their fans but on the flip side continue to be amazed by Lealiifano and Kepu. Absolute legends.

Maybe he was talking about table tennis.
ie. It doesn’t matter if they are off to table tennis, darts, golf, AFL, NRL or anywhere else. Contracted this year and going to have a crack.
If another choice is made later, then all the best.

Move the 5 super sides to the comp and add teams that represent geographic areas.
Club sides already perform a critical function. If you promote them they have to be able to attract a broader audience and you still need to replace them in the existing tier.

100% Sheek. We are on the same page there.
RA reeling and facing a mass exodus of biggest stars - there are three key reasons why they're in peril
NRC struggled with Super and Tests both sitting above.
With Tests scarce and no Super we could have a cracking comp.
RA reeling and facing a mass exodus of biggest stars - there are three key reasons why they're in peril
Yeah, even where they win, it becomes was it worth it and for how long.
Players that were sought by NRL and signed with rugby in the last few years are guys like Tom Wright, Max Jorgensen, Hadley Tonga, Billy Pollard, Luke Reimer and Will Harris.
Some excellent young players but no one shooting the lights out at Wallaby level (at least not yet).
With NRL circling, what do we predict the offers will be if they do start to really perform.

Exit Super. End the self impose Giteau selection restrictions.
Run a national domestic comp.
NRC now!

I’ll take that back then Grafter.
My apologies to the good folk from Brothers and Ramdwick. Can see it’s the Tah and Brumbies Women they are up against
'I'd love to see him back': Beale set to take first step in rugby comeback, targets milestone event
Good luck to Kurtley in his comeback attempt. Wish him well.
Biggest part of the story to me is actually that Randwick and Brothers have elected to schedule the match head to head with Tahs vs Brumbies.
At least they aren’t clashing with the Reds on Friday. Can’t help but feel this is a bit similar to how the big Brissie and Sydney clubs used to schedule to compete with NRC.
Have to commend their commitment to their dream, even if I disagree with their attempt to be the mainstays of our primary competition.
They do such good work at the local level, a shame they can’t be satisfied being the best they can at that level of the development pathway.

How was he at 3:09 in this video from Tahs/Chiefs last year?
Diving into an already cleared ruck to put a head shot on Hooper.
He’d taken out Perese in a ruck earlier in the match which I had thought accidental but very lucky not to be carded.
Quite the lowlights reel Finau is building up.
'What you permit, you promote': Reds slam late 'cheap shot', HMP set to start ahead of Lynagh in Rebels grudge match
G’day Hamish. Rather than Moana based out of islands I’d like to see a new Tongan team and a new Samoan side to give each of those nations a side rather than the combined one.
Also we must keep the Rebels. You talk about rugby culture. How do you build one? It takes time, you have to show pathways.
2022, Victoria held its first ever annual secondary schools rugby competition. Cutting off the team those kids aspire to play for would be the most shortsighted move Oz rugby could make.
Two new teams and a big show of faith to two more - how Super Rugby must kick on from a thrilling start to 2024
Maybe we should just say Australian rugby clubs? That would be even easier wouldn’t it?
Five things we learned: Why Schmidt is in a better place than Rennie was, how Kiss has transformed Reds
Let’s be specific Piru. SRC clubs, around 6 of them. The same lot that got Penrith booted.
They are quite happy to work against other NSW clubs, not just against national comps.
Five things we learned: Why Schmidt is in a better place than Rennie was, how Kiss has transformed Reds
The Wallabies always had the talent to make the final eight, perhaps even the last four in France last year, but a combination of factors – poor selection (both on the field and off it), bizarre tactics, and rotten luck with injuries – meant Eddie Jones’ side barely fired a shot.
100% Christy.
Nonggorr making some good improvements. Some real silver lining to his WC selection and Nela’s move to the Rebels if he stays on this trajectory.

Nice one Geoff.

I’m loving the results but the finances are showing it’s not sustainable.

Yeah the Reds!
Well done!

ANALYSIS: Battle for the gain-line to decide if ‘Tah tough’ Waratahs can go back-to-back against Kiwi teams
Nice one John. Will be interesting to see who makes the play with both sides comfortable without the ball.
Really hope the Tahs hang on to it a bit more. Have been burnt by Highlanders counter attack too many times over the decades.
ANALYSIS: Battle for the gain-line to decide if ‘Tah tough’ Waratahs can go back-to-back against Kiwi teams
Cheers Olly.
I’ll be very surprised if they reduced the Ares debt during 23.
Annual report will tell us.
Waugh reveals shocking $2.6 million unapproved budget blowout on Eddie Jones' World Cup debacle
Apologies for the rapid posting.
Is your post saying they still owe Ares 27m and they’ve used 30m of the PEP money? (ie. 50m left to draw on?)
That would make it 57m in total?
Waugh reveals shocking $2.6 million unapproved budget blowout on Eddie Jones' World Cup debacle
Where is that being reported?
Given they already had 25m drawn down at start of 2023, I’m truly amazed with all the reduced revenue and additional cost that they’ve only added 5m since.
The figures that got posted then edited out said the current interest bill was a quarter of the annual broadcast.
Annual Broadcast is 33m, making the repayment 8.25m
Other figures that got reported then edited out were that the PEP interest payment is 12% with an additional 3% payment to the lender.
8.25m pa at 15% is 55m.
We’ll get the picture up to Dec 2023 in a couple of months but given the absorption of the Tahs, and the WC debacle, I’ll be absolutely amazed if reports of 50m left to draw (meaning 30m drawn) are correct.
Waugh reveals shocking $2.6 million unapproved budget blowout on Eddie Jones' World Cup debacle
Number calculated from an article earlier this week (that was later edited, clearly they gave us too much info).
Essentially they drew down the full Ares Capital 40m, have used this PEP money to pay it off early. Not sure why they traded in a debt due in 2027 costing 11.4% for a new one worth 15%.
Based on the reported interest payments they’ve drawn a further 15m. Means they’ve increased debt from 25m up to 55m since the end of 2022 and now at increased rates.

I don’t think they are planning to sack him. I understand the decision is whether to renew him at end of season or not.
So they’ll either extend his contract or start looking for a new coach for next year from the end of the month.
