'How did mighty Australian Rugby get to this': McLennan says he has 'no' regrets, outlines three areas to fix

“One example of the system backfiring is the story of David Nucifora, an Australian coach who now resides within Ireland rugby as its performance director. He has contributed mightily to the success of the world’s No1 ranked team. 17 Feb 2023”

'How did mighty Australian Rugby get to this': McLennan says he has 'no' regrets, outlines three areas to fix

We came undone in the 25th minute thanks to our greed and stupidity. Awarded a penalty near their 22 it was a gift 3 points which if converted would’ve got us to 9 – 10 trailing by a point, but nah, as per usual we wanted a converted try so kicked for the corner only then to lose the lineout, they kicked down field and as Helmie said in the commentary, “Lucky that went out.” But then a minute later (26th) they were awarded a penalty in our quarter. Did they reject the 3 easy points on offer? Absolutely not and then they lead 13-6. Then before halftime awarded another penalty they lead 16-6. We’re our own worst enemy so often and then we wonder why we get beaten.

'F--- mate, what didn't go wrong?' 'Raw, devastated' Wallabies 'got bashed' - players react, Foley weighs in, after disaster

He doesn’t necessarily need blinding speed, his ability to step through gaps and off-load, ie set up his supports. Old habits die hard.

'We're going to go through some pain': Eddie bristles at SBW criticism but takes 'full responsibility' after historic loss

Different cattle o’ fish, err, cattle 😉

O’Connor, James has to come into the picture vs Wales. I’d play him at 5/8. Or move Kerevi to inside centre and JOC to outside centre. Why? O’Connor’s uncanny ability to side-step his way through defences,

BEST OF LUCK BOYS, VS. WALES !!

Don’t be silly, we’ll come good under Eddie. Watching the replay

An unwillingness I meant, 👍

ANALYSIS: Another valiant Socceroos defeat means it's time to change the narrative not sit back and hope

Okay I agree. Cheers. Gunna watch the Morrocco Croatia one tonight, starts at 9pm

The problem is we stopped attacking. These games are won by the side with the positive attacking mindset. If we don’t on Saturday we’re gone

It’s not rocket science, ????

REACTION: 'Welcome to world class football' - French stars destroy 'shy' Socceroos in Cup opener

Regardless their heritage we had em on toast early on. It was sheer laziness, a willingness to compete for 90 minutes that cost us, and that is bloody disgraceful

Time for Arnold to go.

Mike you didn’t mention our second near goal which hit the woodwork, or did I dream it? It would’ve been 2-all, no? And then who knows what?!

So could have Australia scored several more goals – if they’d attacked instead of passing the ball back to our keeper Ryan!

They’ll get done like a dinner, certain of it

Pathetic tactics from the coach. Time for Popovic or Muscat or Corica to take over because that effort on the world stage was abysmal. The French aren’t that good, a team that takes it to them will more than likely roll them.
And Arnold’s comment about “size”, that they were “too big and powerful”. Yet only a few short years ago a midget Spanish squad swept all before them, big, small, whatever.
It comes down to mindset and Arnie’s setting us up for yet another early exit from a world cup. Enough! Time for the head coach to go. Bye bye Arnold!

quote: “While O’Connor was better than his previous outing – a poor performance off the bench in the second Test against England – he was a senior leader on a team that was ultimately thrashed by the Pumas.”
Beg to differ, JOC played well off the bench against Eng in that second test, and also played well against the Pumas last Sunday morn… Bernard Foley? Hmmm… Noah? Hmmm… O’Connor’s still the man in Quade’s unavailability.

Wallabies squad shock: JOC left OUT as Foley returns, Tah young gun's first call up, key men return to face Boks

No way, we’ll make a contest of it. Rennie just needs to back his men.

REACTION: 'Masterclass,' 'perfect game plan, perfectly executed' - Cheika sticks the boot into bewildered Wallabies

Sage, you’re right old son, the scoreline can sometimes be misleading. I’d keep our halves combo of Nic and JOC for the Boks in 2 weeks.

REACTION: 'Masterclass,' 'perfect game plan, perfectly executed' - Cheika sticks the boot into bewildered Wallabies

Actually he (JOC) did all that was asked of him today, and complemented Nic really well. Having just watched the full replay on Stan, there’s hope, lots.

Hahaha…

REACTION: 'Masterclass,' 'perfect game plan, perfectly executed' - Cheika sticks the boot into bewildered Wallabies

Last week 41 – 26 our way.
Today this disaster.
Laurie Fisher, why can’t he be brought in to assist with the forwards?
As for our halves combo, if JOC is at 10, then Tate should be at 9.
