No chance.

The time to sack him was last year after they had lost 5/6 games towards end of season (on top of starting 0-5). Could’ve got Kingsley.

Why every team will win their AFL semi final... and why they'll lose

Port usually play better at the MCG than at home for some reason.
You could still make the argument that Carlton almost lost it not Port almost won it. No matter how well the other team plays you shouldn’t be choking up a 50 pt half time lead.

AFL Power Rankings Round 5: An Easter miracle as Tigers become carrion for Crows

Why? Lions been quite unconvincing outside of the North game.

AFL Power Rankings Round 5: An Easter miracle as Tigers become carrion for Crows

I thought the Crows would get more tips because we would’ve won last year if it wasn’t for Allir who won’t be out there.
We need to play Thilthorpe!

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 3

You’ve jumped off the boat pretty quickly! Hard to see Hinkley surviving this season.
A loss to the Eagles at home (not uncommon) in round 6 would be surely be the end, if Port lose to crows/melb/carlton. All of those games will be very hard to win

AFL Saturday Study: Unpacking ultimate Power failure, time for taggers to return as stars wreak havoc

Go watch the West Coast game from round 3.

Is the Power's premiership attempt over?

Not injury based. They got absolutely hammered by WC with Butters and Duursma. If WC didn’t take pedal off floor that game they would have won by 100. They just aren’t good enough…

Is the Power's premiership attempt over?

Port can’t beat Freo in Perth though lol. Only won once against Freo in Perth during the 2010s, which was the 2014 SF.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 3

I’ll be quite dissapointed if my Crows don’t win tomorrow night.
Suns play awfully in Adelaide, they even got thumped by a badly out-of-form Hawks side there last year. Will be a great win for the Suns if they get up though as they need to start winning away from home. (Worth mentioning its almost been 10 years since they famously won in Adelaide at AAMI Stadium, starting to feel old…)

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 3

“Port Adelaide at the G (would take a miracle)” Overrating Port a bit there, took a miracle for Port to beat Carlton last season.

Someone's season ends on Thursday night

“However clearly Ken Hinkley isn’t the one to get the Power over the line. Much like coal, his time has passed.” Well I don’t know if you are serious with this but its so true. For some reason the media have a real hard on for him so you only hear the opposite of this. Hes the Neil Craig of Port Adelaide, can almost always have his side being reasonably competitive but just can’t get anywhere in the finals.

The new kings of the AFL jungle: 2021 AFL ladder prediction

Eagles have been a super disappointing side since the 2018 gf, bizarre how that they’ve barely received any criticism for that. Lack of effort big issue for them.

The order of merit: West Coast Eagles 2021 season

No offence but having all those players over 30 doesn’t shout “This has to be our year”

Port lights up in practice match, while a darkness falls on the Crows

Huh? Mitch Georgiades won’t be playing, and neither will Westhoff.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Preliminary finals

Westhoff? Not like he’ll be playing this week anyway…

Cream rises to the top for prelims

Prior to playing Geelong earlier this season at Metricon, Port had never ever lost at Metricon. Port arguably play at Metricon just as well as AO if not better (gave GC, Freo, WC, North a good beating there).. that ten goal loss at Metricon was basically losing at home for them.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Finals Week 1

Yeah you’re forgetting the games against Brisbane and St Kilda.
I’d confidently tip Richmond to beat Port in September if they meet, I’d doubt the Tigers would repeat another poor effort like they did last time. They looked well off the pace that game (watch the last quarter again) and still weren’t overly far off.

AFL Power Rankings Round 14

Their coverage is laughably bad on so many levels, especially this year with the crowd noise and fake tarps. Their coverage has gone remarkably downhill in the last few years – their team is shocking. They really need to do a deep cleanout. Fox does have a much better commentary team. They just need to get rid of Dwayne Russell. He says some ridiculous things, like the other week during the Port v WC game he said “Everyone talking about the Kennedy family during the week, but what about the Ebert family?”. What an incredibly dumb comment – the reason everyone was talking about the Kennedys during the week was because John Kennedy Sr died. Plain stupid. Get rid of David King too. I watch a lot of old games that Channel Ten broadcasted, and their coverage was top-notch. Very professional, unlike 7.

It's time for Channel Seven to improve

Little known fact: Port’s finals win drought from 2007-2013 will be eclipsed this year by their finals win drought from September 2014 to now (even if Port do win a final this season due to the season delays it will still be eclipsed). That is damning.

Four burning questions for Port Adelaide ahead of the AFL restart

I heard the exact same thing in 2014/2015.

Four burning questions for Port Adelaide ahead of the AFL restart

It was Phil Walsh who chose Tex to be captain.
Take it easy on him.

AFL preview series: Adelaide Crows vs Port Adelaide Power

Does that mean the Bulldogs are contenders since that they took good care of Port the other week?

Which top eight side looks the shakiest?

They don’t seem largely different to how they were in 2018.
I’m hearing supporters saying that they would have lost to Collingwood by 90 points after quarter time if that was last year. They didn’t even come close to losing by that much last year though. The game was similar to the R23 Essendon game last year.
In both games they were about 6 goals down in both games at Q1, pegged the margin back to 3/4 goals during Q2, margin blew back out in Q3, and Q4 was damage control.

Port brutally shown the Power of the fast start

Not last year – you are probably thinking of 2017, where you won by 83 points in Brisbane and by 40 points in Adelaide.
You only played them last year in round 3 in Adelaide, where you won by five points.

Eight talking points from AFL Round 1

Lot of games seemed to be about who could be slightly less sloppier – maybe due to teams failing to adjust well to the new rules. Brisbane, Fremantle, WB and GWS actually didn’t look that sloppy, for the most part. I think some of the results from round 1 will look stranger as the season progresses.
