Fremantle number two ruckman Meek has a huge future is being sought by a lot of clubs. Don’t be surprised he stays and if they get Jackson, Darcy will go back home to Geelong. Some will laugh but don’t rule it out.

I do agree on your assessment of Don.His judgement of Freo players past and present is very poor is putting it mildly. You may not be aware that Freo being a younger club than the four clubs you mentioned did not get anywhere the concessions as them. Mark Harvey built a strong team that Ross Lyon inherited and made a GF and performed well but fell short. Lyon then sent the club backwards one reason persevering with old players and a terrible so called renovation. Freo apart from a few duds have a strong young list. There close….St Kilda have not won a flag for 50 years. It’s not easy.

Being a Cats fan you would be very aware of players being shockingly substandard in finals from very experienced players. Jackson was relatively good considering his age plus how did he go in last years finals ?

I agree Darcy, Walker, Chapman and Switkowski in particular failed the pressure test.

Jackson won’t need teaching to become a great player as a 21 yo he is a naturally gifted and above all is he is tough mentally and physical something that Taberner, Lobb and Logue don’t possess.

I think Jackson is a bit smarter than a few roar subscribers to the Roar. He will be huge for Freo and he will add another premiership medal for himself.

Freo will gain experience from finals experience with Amiss and Treacy there is future up forward and adding a tough competitor in Jackson is huge. Moving on Taberner and Lobb who are mediocre front runners will be a bonus and Logue won’t be missed either a pick in the draft is a better option. Sturt will add class up forward as well next year.

Wipe Fyfe off at your own peril. He is more than capable of kicking a bag in a final more so than Lobb or Taberner.

Darling in a injury riddled side was way better than Lobb. Eagles wth nearly ten top 22 unavailable held Freo to 7 goals. Hardly inspiring !

Freos only chance of winning one or even two finals is for Fyfe to regain some form and play a key forward role. They have not had a quality big man up there since Pavlich. Last week against the depleted bottom side they produced 7 goals.
