Thanks for your interest in the story.

On the record, I am motivated to speak publicly out of interest in the players, club, league, and sport after a life long involvement in the beautiful game, and over a decade of involvement with the BRFC as a player and coach. In August I walked away from the Football club on my terms, and most certainly am not seeking further employment or any other position at the BRFC. I acknowledge Mike Cockerill’s article on the behaviour of coaches league-wide, however I can’t comment on other clubs or coaches, as I have no association.

To reiterate, I have not called the BRFC’s culture into question. The team self-regulate under their own exceptional leadership and perpetuate a brilliant culture. I have highlighted a pattern of Ross Aloisi’s behaviour, and called to question the club’s response and management of the issue. The situation is extremely challenging with the relationships in play (Ross being John’s brother, and Mark Kingsman being Craig Moore’s long term close friend).

FFA received statements from select people regarding the incident in Adelaide. A dozen more whom I know personally may have more interesting information if given an opportunity to provide witness statements of the incident and the actions/comments of Ross Aloisi afterward. Perhaps those people may step forward to shed further light on the situation (or perhaps they won’t out of fear of the ramifications for themselves). At the end of the day, FFA are holding Ross and Craig to account for their actions. That is a really great start, and an opportunity for the club to commit to improvement.

There has been some well-informed comments posted – well done. As a foundation player and long term supporter, I would personally love to see the club evolve their off-field operations and management to match their on-field successes. Great goal from Macca, and strong performance by the boys leading into the finals – keep it up. Josh.

It's time for the Roar to deal with the club's coaching culture
