Naming my Indigenous all-stars team of the century
You could also argue that the Tigers would provide a perfect scenario with Benji returning.
But not sure they’ll squeeze into the 8.
Who will be 2018's Cinderella story?
Ricky Walford was an other great winger of his time. And Amos Roberts.
Plenty of back-up in the wing position.

Thanks Rellum,
That’s a good team.
I forgot about Justin Hodges – he has to be there too.
And Scott Prince comes close.
John Doyle is a great option for hooker.
There’s certainly a plethora of stars to choose from.

But born in Bundaberg, Queensland so he is a Maroon.

Thanks for your insight Jeffrey – I just researched it and you’re right.
I always thought he was aboriginal.
He’s actually got Torres Straight Island and Scottish heritage.
Grandfather came from Vanuatu.

I agree Paul, but as this stage it feels like the Cowboys will struggle to make the eight.
They’ll probably surge at some point, but it may not be enough.
Who will be 2018's Cinderella story?
Thanks for your comments Jed Clampit – Mundine was considered but doesn’t make the grade in my books as his position is filled with champions.

Thanks for reminding me Brother, Big Mal would definitely make the team. Probably as vice-captain.
Can’t believe I forgot about him.
The trick is who to leave off now 🙂

Black belt in karate to boot.
I think he’s a great choice for a side needing a culture change.
Why Justin Langer is the right man to lead Australian cricket forward
Thank for your comments BA Sports – I think you’re right about Mitchell if you’re talking 2017, but this year he seems to have more of a fire in the belly and tries to inject himself more during the games.
Who is your NRL team's MVP (Part 2)?
Thanks for commenting Barry – yes it’s not easy to select an MVP for the Bulldogs.
You’d hope it would be a player from the spine, but they’re not performing.
Who is your NRL team's MVP (Part 2)?
TPJ is a much easier way to refer to him, thanks.
He was unstoppable in last week’s game.
Who is your NRL team's MVP (Part 1)?
Thanks for commenting DNZ – unfortunately I don’t get to go to too many Raiders games, but I have experienced the Viking Clap live, which was powerful. You have a great fan culture.
BJ is rocks and diamonds, but the team clearly turns to him when something is needed. His combo with Rapana is also special.
Who is your NRL team's MVP (Part 1)?
Thanks for your comments kk.
It is very tough to split some players. I am also a huge fan of Jordan Rapana and will never forget the amazing try he scored a few years ago by chasing a kick that looked to be going out, but took a bounce towards him. Everyone else had given up on the play.
Corey Oates is class too, but he makes a few too many errors for me to make him the MVP.
Who is your NRL team's MVP (Part 1)?
Thanks for commenting kk – yes Tevita Pangia Junior looks very comfortable in first grade.
He made a huge impact on that game and it felt like a number of times he changed the momentum of play single-handedly.
The rugby league talent machine is in overdrive
No worries RoryStorm,
I started writing on TheRoar at the beginning of this month with a goal of achieving 20,000 article reads by the end of April.
I’ve pumped out over 20 articles and am at 18,200 reads with a couple of days to go.
Touch and go whether Il make it, but I’ll certainly keep trying.

Is Latrell Mitchell the next Greg Inglis?
Thanks for your comments John H.
His goal-kicking is becoming more consistent.
He needs to be given more space when he receives the ball – currently the Roosters attack is so predictable that defenders are in his face as soon as he gets the pill.
Only then will be see how good he can be. Remember how much good ball Inglis got early in his career with Cronk, Smith and co.
Is Latrell Mitchell the next Greg Inglis?
Fair call Ben, but the potential is definitely there. Mitchell seems very hungry and fired up this year too.
Is Latrell Mitchell the next Greg Inglis?
Mal and The Pearl are some of my all time favourites.
Is Latrell Mitchell the next Greg Inglis?
Thanks Nat, Sing was great for Qld.
