Hence why I said it’s too bad he forgot how to bat…

It’s too bad Wade forgot how to bat.

First time around he was great with the bat and couldn’t keep. Now his keeping is generally solid and he can’t make runs.

Test is getting away from us. Get both spinners on now.

So is Smith going to wait until India has drawn level until getting both spinners on?

India vs Australia Highlights: Cricket live scores, blog, 2nd Test – Day 3

Yep. Starc owes the team right now. Really missed a trick when he went out in my opinion then bowled absolute tripe to undo so much of our hard work. Pretty disappointing. Hazlewood wasn’t much chop either.

Bowling rubbish at the moment.

It blows my mind it took King Kohli this long to get Jadeja on. This guy is a seriously good bowler. He makes something happen, it looks like a different pitch!

Just couldn’t resist, still a good knock. Australia should be aiming for 120 lead.

You’re not wrong. Crazy he’s been bowled this little. He always looks likely to me.

Where is Jadeja?!

Pretty disappointed with Smith tonight. Poor captaincy in my opinion. Head bowled for one over, then brought back on in garbage time to be spanked? Maxwell isn’t even worth a look? Come on now. Even bowl yourself for an over or two to see if you can shake things up a bit, too much one paced tactics for mine. Unimaginative.

Couldn’t have said it better

Better bowler than Mennie?

Made a 78 not too long ago in shield and made two or three half centuries in our last ODI series overseas. He still has it.

I guess my point is: we simply cannot afford to carry Nevill’s returns with the bat in this side.

Australia vs South Africa: Cricket live scores, highlights 2nd Test - Day 4

I find it interesting how Nevill has basically escaped any criticism for his performance.

Admittedly and fairly so – Wade was ridiculed for his missteps behind the stumps, but boy could he bat. Nevill may have a similar FC record but he’s no Wade with the bat and he’s certainly no number 7 at test level. He has no flair to his technique and always looks scratchy, he’s been very disappointing.

At this point: why not bring Wade back and see how his keeping is? What do we have to lose?

Whiteman could be the long term future but he has tailed off a little lately.

There’s also a guy called James Harden who is decent

A tear and a cheer for Kobe Bryant’s last meaningful game

Match result:

The Adelaide 36ers have secured a huge win on the road, as Jerome Randle single handedly dismantled the Cairns Taipans. Randle was exceptionally poor in the first half, and looked relatively disengaged. But as is the case with most elite players, when they are switched on, the difference is night and day.

Randle exploded for 28 points, including three bombs from long range. He shot 50% from the floor and also chipped in with two dimes and two rebounds. Daniel Johnson was also prolific for the 36ers, he compiled a neat 17 points and had five rebounds of his own.

For the Taipans, it was a case of so close but so far. Mark Worthington had a big night out, posting 19 points on 13 shots. Both teams were composed with the ball in the first half, but as the pressure ramped up and time got closer to expiration, the turnovers began to rise.

The harsh truth about tonight’s game is if Cairns gave better effort on the defensive side of the court, they probably come home victors. The Taipans leaked points all night, no matter the line up. Randle was simply unstoppable, but Cairns inability to defend the three point line (Adelaide shot 45% from down town) and secure the paint (26 rebounds to 29) made a victory extremely difficult.

Adelaide took a step closer to separating themselves from the tightly contested middle rung of the NBL standings this season, as they improve to 7-6. Thanks for joining me tonight, I hope you enjoyed the game! Until then!

What a hectic finish! Daniel Johnson gets the last points of the game. Randle lost possession of the ball and Cairns had a chance to tie the game. Gliddon took a tough step back three but missed and it appeared that Worthington was fouled as he gathered the offensive rebound and missed, but the refs swallowed the whistle and the clock ran out. Huge win for the Adelaide 36ers. Wrap up to come soon. Stay tuned.

Travelling violation on Petrie. Cairns will regain position, Weigh is fouled on the inbounds play and will shoot free throws.

Oh wait… oh wait! Worthington goes bang and nails the three! I may have spoke too soon!! Oh yes, of course. Randle makes another jumpshot, someone get some water for that man! He is on fire!! Timeout on the floor.
