Great article, I’d like to see a 3 test June series, 4 tests in TRC and 3 tests in the EOYT.

To answer your question “Why are the Wallabies never allowed the joys of a full three-Test tour of a northern nation in November such as France will experience Down Under in July?” The NH teams were sending weak teams south for meaningless 1 off tests and to incentivise them to send stronger teams they started 3 tests tours for something to play for.

Less is more for Test rugby in a post-pandemic world

Touche’

They’ve provided some strong points, interestingly it’s the Scots and Irish in the team that are more confident than the Welsh and English.

Are the Springboks ready for the British and Irish Lions?

I have adequate technique, I’ve never been concussed.

Are the Springboks ready for the British and Irish Lions?

Can’t argue with that one Neil.

Side effect of living and playing rugby in the UK I guess 😂

Are the Springboks ready for the British and Irish Lions?

Most of the fans I’ve spoken with in the UK don’t believe the Boks will win a game.

Are the Springboks ready for the British and Irish Lions?

Talk in the UK is that the result can only be 3-0 to the Lions

Cheika does have a excellent track record as head coach of a club team.

I think there is just something about having that team for 30 weeks a year and being able to control all facets of that team is best suited for his coaching, where as having the wallabies for 4-6 weeks here and there is different.

I for one would like to see him back in charge of the Waratahs. It would be a much greater challenge this time round as the cattle isn’t there.

Michael Cheika can save the Waratahs – but not as coach

Problem with the peakier peak is how short do you measure?

Same foes with measuring greatest of all time. Do you measure their full career then the case for Jordan>James becomes tougher to argue.

Jordan fans think it should be the best six years but ignore the fact the Jordan quit for a year and a half and failed to make the playoffs when he returned. But why best six years? Why not the greatest season? Why stop there? Shouldn’t the greatest of all time come down to who has played the best ever in a single game?

LeBron James is not one championship away from GOAT status

France: Right lads, time is up, we’re ahead by 3 points and we need to score another 18 to win this tournament, lets have a crack…

Dramatic scenes as Scotland record first Paris win since 1999 in last-ditch thriller

Consummate pros. Very fit.

What we’ve learnt from the Saracens players is that even without an injury and 5 tests you’re still not “match fit” if you haven’t played in a while, but there is an exemption ie if you play for Scotland 😂

The five-nation review

Who are you picking to smash Pollard and Faf non stop?

The five-nation review

Surely you knew I was referencing Williams? 😱

The five-nation review

I’d definitely have Hogg, but he’ll probably be selected because he’s Welsh. I’d also have Davies ahead of Murray.

I think if Farrell doesn’t start you don’t put him in the 23.

The five-nation review

Should’ve read your comment before I replied below 😂

France put trust in Ntamack for Six Nations decider

The Wales v France game would have been the decider should France have beaten Scotland earlier so they would have known what they needed to achieve when playing Wales anyway?

I understand it was France who broke covid protocols and they should have been punished for that but I don’t think they gain anything by knowing what they need to win by

France put trust in Ntamack for Six Nations decider

There are also alot of instances of when penalties should be given but they weren’t

When they went upstairs to check the clear out that led to the red card, I thought they were looking at George Norths tackle on the Frenchman whilst he was in the act of scoring as it was around the head.

Some say Liam Williams was hard done by but he should’ve been carded in the 67th min slowing the ball down, the very next ruck the Welsh prop led with the shoulder and didn’t attempt to wrap.

Why the Queensland Reds are skating on thin ice

They’ve always missed Manu, he’s played just 40% of Englands test since his debut. The team also has a better winning percentage without him.

Wouldn’t want to base your team around a player that’s been selected 18 times since 2016

The Wrap: Richie Mo’unga takes it to another level at Eden Park

Players come back all the time from injuries and play test rugby with little to no warm up games.

If the Saracens weren’t match fit after the first two tests then there are bigger problems

There is something about having just one chance to knock over your opponent, all or nothing.

My bugbear is having blockers in place when box kicking. Many of them are standing infront of last mans feet so they’re offside and then when the halfback kicks the ball he is actively shepperding behind the blocker to prevent being tackled, I don’t know why this isn’t classed as shepperding?

I’m not sure it’ll be a concern to Gatland. I think last nights loss to France will be more of a concern to him as it makes it harder to justify picking the entire welsh team 😂

14-man Ireland rout England in Six Nations

It did become a bit of a joke at the end then.

At one stage the referee said to AWJ “you would’ve been on a warning but there was foul play” now he did change his mind on that but the warning should’ve never been removed regardless of what else had happened. The wales still have away those penalties.

When the referee went upstairs to look at that foul play I originally thought he was looking at George North’s head high on the french try scorer in the act of scoring. That would’ve been another penalty in the red zone and surely should’ve been a yellow regardless of the french scoring.

The referee was also reluctant to send more to the bin at the end there because of the two already there. This shouldn’t play into things at all.

Re the captains, not sure if you meant George Ford or Jamie George. I’ll go with Jamie since the other two players you listed their last names.

Itoje remains his passive self. Good in the first half and went missing in the second. He’s just not the player he was 2 years ago. Needs something to get his mojo back.

Jamie George isn’t the best hooker in the country. Although that didn’t stop Heartly being the captain for a long time. Maybe?

My vote goes to Curry, will be around for a long time yet and is a very good and calm player. Leads from the front.

I agree Owen is a 10 but George Ford is a much better 10. Playing one is a better option when you have someone like Manu at 12

I believe Argentina showed last year how well professional athletes can play straight out of the blocks.

My point is that while Itoje has been world class in the past, he certainly hasn’t been this tournament and the Boks have no shortage of quality locks so to say he’d walk into the starting team is purely speculation

England sink France while Wales are up for the slam

I mean there are so many plaudits for Itoje for reducing his penalty count and this being a reason to rate him so highly. This is like praising a gambler for losing less money than last week but still losing…
