Anderson is such a different scenario. A 38 year old with a dodgy calf muscle , those around him including the medical staff would have known the risk , but a calf injury is not going to impede your future off the field
“You’ll thank me later in life”
Smith should probably sit out , but I’ll leave that up to the experts
Time for some mental fortitude from mr Warner , redemption from the past and stand up to archer and get a magical ton ….or forever be remembered for South Africa and being a flat track bully
“You’ll thank me later in life”
I love test cricket
There I’ve said it on social media, so it’s true love .
Brilliant test match again.
Joffra reminds me of Malcolm Marshall or Michael Holding the way he is hitting people. Far out , what a contest .
Warner and Khawaja face make or break Ashes Test
Some people Lester like . just like to be outraged and often miss the point
As David Brent would say
“ A problem shared is a problem halved, so is your problem really yours or just half of someone else’s.. “.
Wind up through the hills for fifteen days
Can the A-League persuade fans to look up from their phones?
Would love mystic Journey to be the next takeover target, but the she was entitled to demolish that wfa field .
Great to see the underdog jockey stay on board too
Bivouac just went boom as did the Godolphin horse in Sydney too .
The runner up Maddi rocks made a terrific run home in Sydney.
Also enjoyed seeing the last start Pakenham winner flying home to win at Randwick. Great story for its owners
The shark was good , but how did the winner endless drama start at 8/1 and why didn’t I bsck it. Oh dear
Also I believe Marmelo won in good fashion overnight.
Good racing , love the spring
Be wary backing Mystic Journey too early
The thoughts of Canberra besting the storm have a nice ring to it .
NRL make classy gesture to deserving person, outrage ensues
As David Brent said “You need to 100 percent behind someone before you can stab them in the back “
Marketing the A-League is a step in the right direction
I would probably disagree with all of that , but each to their own.
Marketing the A-League is a step in the right direction
I meant to end on , how many kids in Australia these days are ready to make that sacrifice
Back to the future for Australian football youth development?
The mental fortitude required to practice hard enough to make it in one of top 3-4 leagues in Europe is very demanding and requires an indulgence and passion from an early age .

The competition would be worse if you scrap the cap .
If the big clubs stockpile the talent from smaller clubs .
You would have a Celtic / Scottish league scenario.
Marketing the A-League is a step in the right direction
There were a few Africans , many South Americans Eastern Europeand played in Italy or Spain back yonder .
I don’t see a change ahead for Australia , soccer is such a skilful game and our kids are not dedicated enough to put in the long hours on their own to make it in the big time .
Also our changing immigration situation looks like we will continue to be excellent at cricket and rugby union, so that’s a positive.
Back to the future for Australian football youth development?
I agree that the excellent ability of African heritage players has seen France and Belgium excel and have been saying this for a while.
These kids are desperate to succeed and will practice from an early at home, in a park anywhere, 14 hours a day they have a ball at their feet .

Sean Marsh isn’t near the top 6 worst batsman I’ve seen for aust
Certainly not a great player, but some nice centuries among the failures. There are 6 worse then Sean m
Australia's unlucky XI from the 2000s golden era
Newcastle $175.
$175 is how much they have spent in the transfer window
Melbourne City: It will be different this time around, I promise
They gave the A league some mind numbing mediocrity on the field , apart from one season of comedy defending .
They gave us azani , but all too briefly and if anything held him back too long , and how much of the azani product is city’s doing ?
Is he not a west Sydney lad ?
They also seem to have been stockpiling lots of juniors from everywhere , and what exactly do they give back to the clubs they took from ?? I would genuinely like to know
Melbourne City: It will be different this time around, I promise
The author says since the takeover over 2008 city have embarssed their cross town rivals.. why pick on Stockport county like that
Btw.
Since 2008. Man united
3 titles
1 champions league win
2 champions league runners up
1 league cup
1 fa cup
1 Europa League and a partridge in a pear tree
That’s so embarrassing right stu

“Champions League is what it’s about, with Champions league money adding to the importance of qualifying, thus why 4th matters. Only teams who don’t care about 4th are those who haven’t and never will play in the Champions League.“
Thsts stating the blooming obvious .
By the way. You said wolves have drawn with a relegation bound Leicester city team and you think that’s a positive
My EPL top four - including one huge surprise
Reminiscing about Villa v spurs ….always a memorable game for me Jordan .
In my early 20s took a $200 Christmas Day one way flight Sydney to Manchester… got a lift down to Birmingham and went to villa Park for villa v spurs .. 4-1 to the villa with Stan Collymore the hero .
Totally off topic I know
Also got to the old white hart lane for a match among others . Enough of my rambling nostalgia anyway
How do see Spurs going this season?
Did anyone watch an EPL game live this weekend?
I have to use Telstra for internet and mobile as Optus signal stops a few kms away from my little town , which is slightly off the inland route . But first world problems I know .
The Optus soccer app is great and I’m sure I’ll use it again later in the season .

“Being to passive at the breakdown “
Does this say something about a lack of heart , mental attitude or lack of speed or skill.
Only asking as I’m newish to the nuances of rugby .
The age-old problem at the heart of another lacklustre Wallabies performance
