Passionate Manly supporter Love reading bout coming up games and after games reviewing the stats n the likes. But the best is peoples comments, reading peoples the public club supporters opinions and views the way they see things expressing it all in together in forums discussions posts has to be one of the greatest concepts for us die hard league supporter\\\'s. Excellent work roar & Go Manly, we\\\'re a season n a hlf behind the race but steady as she goes now boys, slowly & surely wins the race ok..

Look the problem with Manly losing all these close games in the second half’s of the games after being well infront in the 1st of half’s in all of these game’s they’ve ended up losing in is this, it’s Trent Barrett ok full stop
it’s the half time break goin in the dressing room & seriously it’s whatever the hell Trent Barrett says addresses to them at half time that seems to have some type of negative or opposite effect to the team in the 2nd half’s that they’ve been losing in & ending up losing alot of games…
Seriously there’s a take on there & a pattern that clearly draws to ask the question WTF ARE YOU DOING & SAYING IN THERE TO THE TEAM AT HALF TIME TRENT? MAYBE SHUT UP & SPEAK ADDRESS THE TEAM LIKE A COACH NOT LIKE MATE & GET ALL EMOTIONAL WITH & INFRONT OF THEM..PLEASE. Maybe try it at next club.
DCE backs Cartwright as next Manly coach
I think the David is correct, I’m a very passionate manly fan & totally understand where ur coming from wildeagle but as a coach Barrett doesn’t seem to have address the problem in defence continuously leaking in points. Now we all know it’s not Barretts fault but there hasn’t been any signs at all if he as a coach has applied any attention to it over the last 5games & that’s where it all counts for the coach aswel as the captain to address the situation & work bloody hard at that as a team before worrying bout out scoring the opposition AT THIS STAGE OF THE SEASON LEADING INTO THE PLAY-OFFS. I understand all the things that are n can be said or excused to me there jus piss poor excuses laziness in effort on behalf the team the captain n the coach when uve proven consistency previously. DCE has got what it takes as a player let alone as captain in addressing this to his teammates he’s won & played in finals football. All I’m saying as a supporter these things have been quite evident in the last 5games & as for the personal that are in place to implement drills tactics changing players etc to improve in addressing these practices by either the coaching staff & or the leadership group in the team more so the captain. If you watched yesterday game against the bulldogs u can see what David is talking about, it’s jus not good enough for anyone thats involved plays & supports manly, prime example is storm although they bring in their bull sh** part of their game if it ain’t working out for them but they are very well disciplined coached side being professional bout their business, & that’s how u have to approach these issues if your in a position to do so & their along the same lines as what David has illustrated on here he is 1000% correct. It’s a long way to the top if gunna rock n roll.
U can’t believe ur gunna do it going in half cocked. Maybe we can maybe we can outscore the opposition giving them headstarts but that’s like one in I don’t know how much cause anything is possible with any of manlys teams through out their history
Michael Hooper and Daly Cherry-Evans don't deserve to be captains
& that’s why DCE made 3 very very costly bad decision’s against the warriors the other night that probably & in my opinion lost them the game as this article’s proven stats show by not taking early points regardless how you get them it’s the importance of having them early enough in the game most importantly for your team.
Those 3 early penalties goals that were clearly in kicking range for Ruben Carrick & im sure the 1st 2 of those 3 penalties the score was 0 – 0. Manly had the momentum & yes they had the warriors under the pump & all the more reason to take the kicks, your on the bloody scoreboard then, it would’ve changed the whole complex of their game for the warriors there n then. That’s why they did what they did from those 2 moments on, manly jus totally gave up their advantage to be 4-0 possibly 6-0 in the game & gave that advantage to the warriors to get on the scoreboard 1st.
That momentum would’ve stopped & been slowed down if the kicks were attempted. The game would’ve commenced in a different part of the field everything would’ve been different BUT some strange unknown unreal ludicrous reason DCE or whoever was making the decision’s not to go for the 2 points should have a good hard look at themselves period & really consider that the ultimate decision they had made IMO cost manly the game & the possibility of cracking the top 4 & hopefully not losing the team’s aura that they seem to have about them this season so far, I really hope this doesn’t psychological wreck their season’s run into the finals, being smart clever doing & getting the simple 1% things right keeps you righteous focused balanced, but being greedy once twice three times in a row in a team environment game & where its one actual individual in your team that’s made these 3 back to back to back greedy decisions & failed on all three attempts & that individual is ur captain thts made the decisions has put the whole team under pressure & their whole game plan out of whack lost ground start chasing the game..
Momentum is a big powerful psychological advantage tool to have over your opponent particularly that early in a game, it was the perfect amount of doses at the time for 2 pts then another 2 pts = 4 – 0 realistically could’ve just been first 2pts would’ve been enough to slow down the warriors monstrous start to quickly get their momentum goin.
Anyway I see it as DCE being captain he should know better, respect all team’s & each game in a professional competitive manner regardless of the opposition your playing, they are there to do the same thing as what your there for & like the article clearly states but more so proves these moments & opportunities like these very early in the game your being offered points to get on the scoreboard while it’s 0 – 0 your only singling out a complete selfish attitude towards yourself & a complete discard to the environment that your team now has to play in when you weren’t successful in the decision & the option you took, was priceless..
