Not sure it was his intent to ‘hurt’ even carter said it had more to do with how he fell. However good to see some justice for Bismarck, will be good to see him back at Ellis park.

Good article Colin, many fans have vented, defended and goaded, as you say it’s because we are human, and what makes a great team or person is not always what you do, it usually about how you respond. Kiwis well remember our WC defeats to France because of how we didn’t respond during the game. This is what will make the boks a greater team than what they are now, if they choose to, it will be how they respond at Ellis park, likewise the kiwis.

Good article BB as usual. No one could possibly have foreseen that Bismarck would be the guy who fended with the elbow to get the second card. Had it been any other player the game would have finished 15v13 players to the Boks, so much conjecture and speculation it’s hard to see any sense. But we will all meet back here in the forum after the Ellis park game and go round in circles again, why? Because rugby is the game played in heaven. And we all LOVE it.

I turned to my wife as the red card came out, that’s it then the abs will win the ref just ruined the game. I love watching the boks play, always have especially when they came to NZ. They are our biggest foe, that’s why they got the kapa o pango haka. Ellis park will be huge as a spectacle, boks will be out to prove themselves at home, abs out to prove they can win when the sides have 15 players each. No team on the planet would’ve won against either side they way they played that night. Feel a bit sorry for the wallabies when they face up to an angry bok pack in 2 weeks.

Not quite sure the abs would really care if bok fans boo them. They are paid professional athletes who perform at the highest level year after year. As does every team in the RC. If the booing gets to the players then you would have to question their mental strength and not play them. The fans are there purely for their own entertainment and pay good many to scream and cheer their team on. How they respond to opposing teams shouldn’t in anyway effect anything in the game. The only people effected are obviously opposing fans.

What an intense first half, loving it! Controversy physicality awesome game can’t sit down! Abs need to find touch, and keep ball in hand, boks kickers are too good and long. The advantage for the kiwis is going to be fitness I think.

I guess turning the corner would mean they managed to catch a high ball, hang onto the ball, and learn to run in a straight line, we will see in a few hours I guess. As for AAC good player, I like him purely because he plays the same way every game and puts in 100%, I wonder if he some times wishes the guys around him knew how to play rugby consistently. Will be an interesting game for them tonight, part of me wants them to lose because I’m a kiwi, the other part wants them to win because otherwise they are really straying from from what we expect of our little West Island cousins.

Boks seek error free rugby
This will be an epic encounter no matter how the game is played, it is exactly what it is, a ‘test’ match. A test of mental as well as physical strength. As much as I would hate the kiwis to lose, I would rather lose to the boks than any other team, ( no disrespect to the others). Most kiwis and boks have that mutual respect for each other, neither team talks themselves up they just play hard and fast and leave everything on the field.
This bok team reminds me of the side that played the ABs in the World Cup final, I believe it was Fitzy that said when they singing the anthems he knew they were in for a hell of a battle purely because of the way the boks were singing the anthem, boks with that play with pure passion are a dangerous side.
Good luck to both sides today, I’ll only be a little disappointed if we lose in a great contest, you can’t win them all.
Maybe ETNZ could build some foiled boots for the back three haha gotta love it when kiwis win!!

BB watching Heneke in the coaches box was hilarious, thought the guy was going to burst a valve! Well done to the boks really looking forward to next week, going to be a great game!!

I’m with you Bazza, sat through the Abs game looking forward more to the Bok game. That was incredible!! Thats how the boks play it was awesome to watch. Australia you guys are in real trouble, everything is going wrong, but its ok you have the Australian coach of your dreams, had to say it. I was so impressed by the boks that after the game I thought I wouldn’t even care if they won the RC and we came second, we can’t win everything all the time, but it will be a big game!!
Aus rugby needs a huge makeover after that from Bill Pulver down, 1 win all season is unacceptable, ok yes you’ve had to play the number 1 team, the number 2 team, and the Lions. But c’mon Oz, you haven’t even looked like winning let alone even scoring a try. As Matto said “It’s men vs boys”. Two glaring things stood out for me in that game:
1. South Africa were having fun, they were enjoying themselves, encouraging each other, and they knew their strength, they were the big boys.
2. Australia once again seemed devoid of a game plan, running rugby? Was just running sideways, but even when that didn’t work there was no plan B. Their confidence is gone their leadership on and off the field is a mess.
