Women’s sport has very little interest for spectators all around the world because, let’s face it, it just isn’t comparable to men’s sport …

AFL NEWS: Rutten says Parker sledge 'about all of us', Lumumba releases more Buckle tapes, mega AFLW pay rise coming

Hardly anyone’s interested in AFLW. Look at the low attendances. U16 boys would beat them. It’s just another woke social engineering program foisted on us. And we know what happens when you get woke, you go broke …

AFL NEWS: Rutten says Parker sledge 'about all of us', Lumumba releases more Buckle tapes, mega AFLW pay rise coming

The only embarrassing comments are your male feminist ones, Daddy …

Stop white knighting, Daddy …

AFL NEWS: Rutten says Parker sledge 'about all of us', Lumumba releases more Buckle tapes, mega AFLW pay rise coming

No, it’s exactly what feminism and woke culture is all about. It is all about female favouritism at the expense of anything male. Nothing to do with equality. It never was. Memo to AFL ~ Get woke, go broke …

AFL NEWS: Rutten says Parker sledge 'about all of us', Lumumba releases more Buckle tapes, mega AFLW pay rise coming

Sydney lost the game butchering the ball inside 50 in the final quarter rather than Carlton winning it, so I wouldn’t get too far ahead of yourselves, Blue Baggers … You only won the second quarter on the scoreboard …

AFL Friday Footy Fix: The Blues are the AFL's clutchest team... but it can't last

Not to mention the score reviews more often than not going against the Bloods. Wicks’ great goal when we had some momentum denied because the score review fools guessed it might have been touched. Whoever does the reviews should be publicly doxxed …

AFL NEWS: 'You're losing the fans'- Action demanded after 'whistle-fest', reports of mass ejection in Dreamtime chaos

As a Swans supporter the “running too far” free against Chad Warner (which was wrong anyway) then a 50 for nothing just did my head in. It was an exciting piece of play which is always good to see. The umpires (who have absolutely no feel for the game) and Brad Scott and Dan Richardson (whoever he is) are ruining our once great game. Robbo on 360 tonight summed up the frustration of all footy fans perfectly. Fans are voting with their feet. The score reviews are also a disgrace, so often wrong, with a magnificent goal to Sam Wicks being denied because they love to deny goals. The game is too demanding to play for it to be ruined by over-officious umpires and petty bureaucrats. Memo to the AFL that they should heed before it’s too late ~ Get woke, go broke. Sack Brad Scott …

AFL NEWS: 'You're losing the fans'- Action demanded after 'whistle-fest', reports of mass ejection in Dreamtime chaos

This is symptomatic of the whole woke PC culture being rammed down everyone’s throats (which most people don’t want), where everyone gets a medal just for participating. I agree with not having players stand there swearing their heads off etc on the mark at the umps, but just a second of frustration for a 50 like De Goey exhibited last weekend when the game was on the line, that ostensibly killed the contest is way too harsh. It’s insane. He managed to quickly control himself but was still punished. Appalling, frustrating for all fans and downright embarrassing. AFL = nanny state. Get rid of GWS and Gold Coast and make the umps full time if that’s what it takes to get a better standard of umpiring …

Umpire dissent is just the latest AFL unnecessary overreaction

Words are fine, Dyson, and I’m sure you’re a nice guy. But nice doesn’t cut it when it comes to being a Captain of an AFL club, a leader of men, a man respected for his actions rather than his words. Words are just words. Anyone can say words, but it is only actions that count. So when I look across the Essendon list, the only man I see hard enough to be Captain is Sam Draper, which a sad indictment on the list (not on Sam). No wonder they haven’t won a final in over 20 years …

Heppell fires back at Essendon's critics

The only Essendon player who might get Luke ‘Anvil’ Parker’s attention in a physical clash would be Sam Draper. It certainly would never be Dylan Shiel or Dyson Heppell. The Bumblers just don’t have the bottle for any physical stuff, which was obvious once again on Saturday night against a very young Swans side …

Six Points: Lloyd's Bomber bake misses the point, Leon Cameron deserves more credit, and AFL flips fans the bird again

Re Essendon’s woeful, soft performance v Sydney ~ “Would pressure, and defence, and discipline have helped? Absolutely. Aggression? Probably not.” I’m sure Truck would beg to differ about the aggression opinion … Drawing a line in the sand doesn’t mean a king hit or elbow or whatever, it is about playing hard and earning the respect of your team-mates and opponents. Who would you rather be in the trenches with Tim? Luke Parker or Dylan Shiel …

Six Points: Lloyd's Bomber bake misses the point, Leon Cameron deserves more credit, and AFL flips fans the bird again

The only thing cringeworthy is Shiel’s weak , bruise free football, on display week after week. A totally over-rated way over-paid outside player who can’t kick, doesn’t chase and never tackles. He didn’t even have the bottle to stand up for himself after this sledge, even knowing he won’t get punched out like he would in the real world. What a sook. Luke Parker is a hard player, a man’s man who respected across the whole AFL community. A bully? On an AFL field? It’s not a primary school playground. Sheesh …

Luke Parker's savage sledge for Dylan Shiel after kicking a goal

Hahahah! You’ve obviously never watched Luke ‘Anvil’ Parker play over his amazing career, Barb. He’s one of the hardest, most competitive players in the AFL, and has been since day one. It’s a mans game. Name one hard player on the whole Essendon list? Just one …

Luke Parker's savage sledge for Dylan Shiel after kicking a goal

There is no way softy Shiel would tackle Luke ‘The Anvil’ Parker and drive him into the ground and have strong words to him. Not a chance in high heaven. He’s terrified of him, and plays bruise free, non contact footy. He should be playing netball (no disrespect to netballers), not AFL …

'Give away a free': Former Bomber thinks Shiel should've went old school on cheeky Swan

Dylan Shiel plays bruise free footy, like most of the Bumblers. Luke Parker plays like an anvil, a magnificent leader of the much respected young Bloods. He was just pointing out what everyone who watches AFL already knows …

How many goals does he kick in season? 6 …

Analysing the 2022 flag contenders

Too old, too slow, might win one final then fall off the cliff in 2023 like Terra Luna … Every game Grandpas Smith, Selwood & Higgins play (chasing a flag that will never eventuate) is games younger players aren’t getting which doesn’t bode well for the Handbags in the future …

Analysing the 2022 flag contenders

No mention of the Bloods, who currently sit 4th? While they won’t win it this year they are building nicely for future dominance. The next 3 weeks will see where Sydney is at …

Analysing the 2022 flag contenders

I’ll take Sydney or Freo’s dynamic young lists way ahead of Geelong’s aging list with a handful of younger players recently thrown in, any day of the week. Regardless of your spin Dem (and let’s face it, statistics can be used any way someone likes), Geelong’s best players are all close to the end, and they couldn’t keep up with a dynamic, young Freo last week who were missing their dominant ruckman and best forward.
Here are the 30+ yo Cats very close to a room at the Corio retirement village: Hawkins 34, Selwood 34, Higgins 34, Smith 33, Tuohy 32, Dangerfield 31 and totally banged up, Blicavs 31, Stanley 31, Rohan 31, Ceglar 31, Duncan 30, Menegola 30, Cam Guthrie & Dahlhaus both 30 in August. Stewart will be 30 before the start of 2023 season followed by Cameron. How’s Jezza going to go when he doesn’t have The Lummox taking the best defender each week? Geelong may be just hanging in there in 2022 and perhaps play (and lose) a final, but the fall will come quickly and deeply from 2023 for a long period in the wilderness …
Chris Scott will then quit for a cu$hy job at AFL house …

Don't be fooled, this is the best Geelong team we've seen in years

Would be happy for Sydney to trade Stephens out. Wasted a high pick there, when we could have drafted Serong. Kinnear Beatson rarely gets it wrong (he’s nailed awesome late picks like Luke Parker, Tom Papley, Justin McInerney, Chad Warner, Sam Wicks etc) but he did with Stephens, who is just too soft and not a great kick. Would be perfect for the Bumblers, and the Bloods could give the famous # 3 guernsey to a player who deserves it …

The Bombers' big problem? Their midfield is too small and too soft

Dunkley is a very average kick, especially for a midfielder, which is why Sydney never took him as a Father – Son pick when they had first dibs. He has done well at the Dogs and did play in their premiership side against the Bloods in 2016, but I’m glad we didn’t take him, and only recruit guys who are elite kicks. He would improve the Bumblers weak midfield though, winning hardballs and handpassing to Merrett on the outside …

The Bombers' big problem? Their midfield is too small and too soft

The article was about Essendon, NOT Carlton. Save your Carlton talk for articles about Carlton, ffs …

The Bombers' big problem? Their midfield is too small and too soft

Great to see young players Chris Scott wouldn’t play doing well at other clubs now. Geelong certainly won’t win the flag this season, and every game Smith, Higgins, Selwood, Stanley, Tuohy, Dahlaus etc play, another kid isn’t getting a game, and the rebuild just gets harder and takes longer. Massive crash coming for the old Handbaggers from 2023. Scott will leave a terrible legacy, but won’t mind as he’ll probably land a cushy job with the AFL …

Season 2022: How your side is travelling one-third into the season

Don, remind us when Freo last won the flag, or played in a GF, or Prelim, or their ladder position over the past decade please? I’m pleased to see them playing so well this season (barracked hard for them against Geelong) and challenging Sydney as the best youthful side in the AFL, but until they perform in September when it really counts, you really should settle down, old boy, eat some humble pie and enjoy the ride …
*Griffo below has outlined Freo’s mediocrity since 2015. Injuries to blame for not getting close to finals in the past 6 seasons ?
