So i take it when a Amateur Club Rugby team in Utah (The Steelers) defeated the ‘Pro’ AMNRL Utah Avalanche league team playing under league rules by over 50 points last month,and they beat them a 2nd time as well, this somehow translates to Rugby defeating all league teams from around the world right?

This is all conjuncture anyways. Its like saying, the All Blacks could easily win the RLWC.

LF.. How will they win scrums? How will they win Lineouts? How will they win the tackle area? Its a different beast.
I will admit, 1 or 2 NRL players would be good… BUT a WHOLE team full of them WITH ZERO Rugby player representation is ludicrous.
If i can add, it seems like some here dont give Rugby players the credit they deserve.

Well, thats a good deal the Brazil rugby union brokered with Canterbury IMO.

Again i will spout this idea here in regards to a Trans Tasman comp by 2015, 2016.
Using the SR conferences, have 6 teams in the Oz and NZ conferences.
Oz will consist of the existing SR teams PLUS a 2nd NSW team
NZ Conference will have the top 6 NPC teams.
Now with the Remaining 8 NZ npc teams, you can add 2 Oz teams (1 from Qld and 1 from NSW again)… and Voila, you have a 2nd tier trans-tasman tournament.
How about some trans-Tasman sporting co-operation?

Most of the Saffa crowds are big.
You state the the Rugby crowds should be in 8000-16000 capacity stadiums…. When i have just shown you the average crowds for matches are 21K+?
Also, are you also asking for International Test team competitions as well?

Agree bil, it seems unfair that the Saffas get a equal amount when they contribute the most in TV ratings.
Its a hard fact for kiwis to understand, but the actual fact is that they need the Saffas more than the saffas need them.

Bil, the Sharks average this season is 23,984, which is actually down from last seasons average of 29K+.

Again Kuruki, Samoa, on a budget of less than 1/100th of NZs resources and player pool managed to win the IRB series.. Welling swatting away the might of NZ, with all their money and resources, like flies…. and Samoa also always place strongly in the top half of the table.
You can bet that with equal funding, Manu Samoa would just make mincemeat of NZ… Easily.
This is way NZ continues to try and keep samoa down financially.
