Agree, Draper needs another full year but can become a star and I really like what I see from Bryan. Reminds me of a Gawn/Jackson set up which would be wise to replicate. Biggest thing for Essendon is having their abundance of mids be able to play other positions but especially go forward and hit the scoreboard.

100% either way i’m happy with who wins, love Burrow n Chase and love a city going for it’s first title but i’m a LA sports fan in everything else so a championship parade in the city of angels is something i’m always happy with. Fun fact the name Joe has been the 2nd most common SB QB name ever. The first, Tom.

Yeah always interesting these side coaching plots, let’s see who can out plan and out score the other. Biggest reason either team will win will be because of that Rams DLine v Bengals OLine battle.

Thanks mate, Leicester winning the PL at 1001-1 odds is something we probably never see again but this Bengals team would definitely be up there. Rams at home with that defensive front would make most feel the same as yourself but I’m backing in Burrow and Chase along with Higgins/Boyd/Mixon to put up points in a shootout in a stadium with a roof. Close game either way is hopefully what we see Monday.

Appreciate it Rob, if you had asked me before the season/playoffs if a team with that bad of an OLine would win a game I would have laughed but here we are. I agree if you look at it from all angles it’s more likely the Rams win but I’m not betting against Joe Brrr to lose as all he does he win and a Bengals team who is young and playing with nothing to lose. Hopefully we get a close game regardless.

My question would be why even the mid year signings in June? Why the need to do it mid season especially with finals around the corner. I imagine it would just warrant unwanted attention on individuals and a football club wanting to make a run. Finish your season and then have a period in the off season for player movement.
As for the draft I’m not aware there actually was one in the 80/90s? What exactly happened, why didn’t it work? I know the NRL back then wasn’t a thing and there were 2 seperate leagues but that was 30 years ago and I think it would greatly benefit the NRL if they moved to a draft system. Look how big and successful drafts are in the NFL,NBA and AFL and the interest and revenue they draw.

I agree has captain all over him, if he can string together another year playing 20+ games he could find himself entering his prime as the captain of the football club.

Yeah don’t get me wrong they still need a few more years of higher draft picks to get more top end talent in. You can still have a very good, positive year and receive a top 10 pick. Say they finish 10-12 which would be seen as a positive year they would still receive a top 8 pick before bids and academy prospects. Interesting 12-24 months for the Crows.

I’m no NRL fan but it just baffles me why A how and why players can sign and announce a new contract at a new team 12+ months before actually going there and playing a final season at their current club and B why isn’t there a draft? Like no wonder the bad teams stay bad and the top few teams smash everyone week in and week out I mean it’s impossible for bad teams to become good.

Sport is about parity and the draft is the single biggest reason for it, teams are meant to go through ups and down and it makes it a level playing field. Also grows and maintains interest in the sport all year round with a draft being a huge marketable event.

I personally am a fan of Tom Doedee and think he could have a terrific year and now heading into Year 4 I would expect Adelaide would want a big year from highly touted youngster Chayce Jones.

I agree I think Nicks has done a terrific job since becoming Adelaides coach but in the AFL world things can change rather quickly so he would be hoping they continue to improve and have a bit of luck on their side. Fogarty is heading into Year 5 now and has shown promise but now is the time to step up and live up to the potential we have all seen in him. Are you expecting big things from any other young Adelaide player who you think could have a break out year?
