I don’t entirely disagree. I think he may stay a Cav and he would def be better off staying in the east.
The nets pick tho isn’t likely to be a game changer and even if they do pick up the best rookie at 4-10 he still won’t be help to LeBron.
I agree that Thompson, Jr, shrunp, frye etc are getting paid too much just to sit on the bench (although Thompson is playing more recently). Shedding those guys to get some solid (d playing role players) would be the way to compete

Simmons at the point, Lebron SF, Embiid C plus a big 3 and D SG and a stretch four. How good would that be?

Yeh I agree, I don’t have them pegged as anything more than a fringe 8 seed next season. Very hard to turn around a team culture of losing. I was more alluding to their eventual rise, they have some promising talents as you mentioned and they seem positioned as well as anyone (bar the celtics) to be the team in the next 4 years or so.
Lebron should take his talents to this surprising Eastern Conference team
Thanks Craig, the offseason is great for speculation. The Bucks may not be the front runner but many teams will que for a meeting with LeBron if (or when) he decides to leave

I think the obsession comes from LeBrons need for titles. The cavs have put themselves in a position where they have mortgaged their future by trading assets and young talent to win now. The issue is the team they have built probably won’t beat whoever comes out of the western conference. He needs a better situation if he wants to add to his titles and Cleveland have minimal cap flexibility, no rising rookies and only a few more years of LeBrons prime. It’s likely he could stay but there is an argument both ways

I really don’t think he heads west. Why leave such a good situation in the east, he can be a perennial contender until the rise of the 76ers and the progression of the celts

Do you think he leaves Cleveland?

There is no such thing as a sure thing. So many come into the draft looking like future stars only to be out of the league within years. I think Lonzo will have a team more or less built around him, it will give him every chance to prove his worth.
Will Summer League success mean stardom for Lonzo Ball?
Its hard not to look at his performances and think he will be a star but the NBA is a different animal. I hope you are right and he helps the Lakers from the get go

Thanks Machooka!
For me it’s Dirk and Nash, didn’t want it to be too long so I name dropped Nash in a coaching capacity. Any other names you think should have made the list?
Taking applications for the 50/40/90 club: Who's going to make it in 2018?
I disagree re the Bulls. Only 23.9 points? Jimmy gets buckets Bulter is a top 20 player in the league. Only 7 rebounds.. he is a guard.
Also while I agree Zach Livine is a promising player, he suffered an ACL tear last year, he will be lucky to match his previous PPG, let alone add to it significantly.
NBA eastern conference analysis: Part 1
I’m sure I kind find plenty of voters that would disagree…. No way anyone puts Giannis over Jinglin’ Jo
Taking applications for the 50/40/90 club: Who's going to make it in 2018?
It sounds like if it were up to you the MVP voting would consist of Delly, Jingles, Exum and Simmons.

Jingles has the shooting stroke but has never been a 90% FT shooter. JJ was nearly added to the list, he should benefit from the same situation as Paul. He will see so many more open looks in Houston.

Preseason I thought PG and LBJ to LA was a genuine reality. They are making space, they have a few good 2n-3rd year players (and now Kuz, Hart and Lonzo). Apart from a recent run they have been a bit disappointing though. I dont think LeBron goes to a team which will require him to wait for player development (particularly if it is in the West).
I agree, there was nothing to the GSW rumours as mentioned above.
