How many fullbacks do the Waratahs need? That is the madness. Hope Jorgo stays in rugby. Petaia may leave and I’m ok with that. If so Campbell would stay at the Reds unless he decided to go OS for dollars. I wouldn’t blame him if he did. He is 27yrs old I believe.

Wonder kid offered 3-yr, $1.6m deal to stay in Aussie rugby - and why it could see Wallabies stars leave Ballymore

Inseparable indeed. A combination of excellence that only can be gained from knowing each other so well after years experience on the field with each other. I think they should be in the backline together for the Wallabies. Schmidt may have other ideas though.

'He's very arty in way he plays': Fraser paints positive picture of Wilson combo with Wallaby partnership 'the end goal'

Congrats to the Force. I had a little concern the Force might get an upset against my Reds but the Force are my second team so not too worried about it.

Reds' 'unbelievable, unfathomable' double disaster sums up shocker as Force spring stunning upset

Let’s look at some statistics for the 4 games thus far.
Ikitau:
24 carries for 141m.
11 defenders beaten
3 clean breaks with 4 offloads.
1 try assist and 0 trys
3 kicks in hand for 112m
3 penalties conceded with one yellow card.
77% tackle success, 20 of 26
1 handling error.
62min average per game.
Flook:
28 carries for 184m
7 defenders beaten
5 clean breaks with 2 offloads
1 try assist and 4 trys
3 kicks in hand for 90m
0 penalties conceded with no cards
81% tackle success, 34 of 42
3 handling errors.
78mins average a game
I’d say that Flook is currently at least on par if not better than Ikitau considering how their teams are playing. Flook hasn’t played for the Wallabies so we can’t do that comparison.
The argument for Foketi being 12 is pretty fair in my view. I hope he recovers quickly.

Fresh Wallabies blow as Waratahs lose gun centre to complicate selection ahead of Lions tour

He would get better I hope. Already destructive in attack. I can’t say why he is leaving. Maybe it’s money, adventure, the experience. Maybe all of those reasons and more.

Yeah, I think Flook is playing better than Ikitau but there is months before the Wallabies first games.

Even Daugunu looked really good at 13 before he missed a game on strike and probably won’t see him for the rest of the season unless the Rebels are forced to due to injury.

Good luck to him. I have him 3rd in Australia at 13 behind Ikitau and Flook respectively. He has been improving. I’m hope he continues to do so in the UK

Im confused as to why max Burey is on the bench. Should be 10 but he’s been pretty good at 15. He’s played 80mins in all 4 games so far.

Super Rugby teams: Tupou benched, Jorgo back for Fiji trip, Petaia sidelined, Swain surprise

Best wishes to all with injuries for a speedy recovery. Can’t wait for kick offs this weekend. Enjoying this season so far more than I have for many years. Feels like some teams are on the rise while others are struggling where they hadn’t before

He’ll Schmidt it in! KOKO podcast joke.

The astounding numbers that must propel Corey 'Rocket Man' Toole into a Wallabies jersey

There was genuine tribalism during covid when it was SR AU. More crowds too. A more competitive completion means crowds will return and more tribalism may occur. There has been a shift this year and I hope that continues. Go you Reds!

Passionate, visceral, irrational tribalism is vital for any competition to succeed. Is a lack of it damaging Super Rugby?

Those are some great statistics. He hasn’t be in the green n gold this year. Schmidt will decide though. Happy he is doing so well.

I don’t know, the states that aren’t in financial trouble having power of the vote doesn’t seem that bad of an idea considering the Aus rugby is in.

Strong custodians or factional hacks pushing state agendas? The numbers that will decide future of Australian rugby

I’ve never seen Train without a station been wrong on here. Never changed his mind or conceded he is wrong. He is always right. No point arguing with someone like that.

Nick Bishop singled out Uru a few years ago. Now he’s flourishing under Les Kiss. Glad it’s coming together for him. Better than being a screw no doubt.

You need to listen to the roar rugby podcasts mate. These articles feature some of that convo each week. It’s good. KOKO is better but check them both out.

He should be paid for his relocation. Simple.

My guess is that Daugunu won’t play another game for the rebels. A wonder if the team will see out the season. It probably will but things aren’t looking good. I support Daugunu. I’m sure other players are wondering what to do next.

Having a good coaching team has made a big difference to the Reds. More effort to create good coaches is needed.

Discovering the blueprint for Super Rugby success: How Kiss managed to get away from a one-dimensional style

Harry has his limitations but in my view, he is a better combo with McReight than Veletini so gets the nod from me. Those guys linking up for the Wallabies would be pretty lethal. That’s where the advantage is. Combos over the best player in each position.

McReight masterclass, Uru statement: Reds smash Rebels in Aussie Super Rugby derby

The Reds have stepped up a few gears with Les Kiss coaching. Thorny brought a lot of these guys through and set a platform for a better coach to work with. Reds had another great game. Well the first half anyway. The second half was a little lacking. The combos with a new gameplan are flourishing. Consistency is the next hurdle to becoming a great team. Can they deliver in the coming games. I think so. The enthusiasm on the pitch is magnetic.
