Surely McFadden is gone before the end of the week

Highlights: Storm blow Warriors away 42-0

I live in BC and I can’t get over the growth of rugby league here in the past few seasons. Putting together the partnerships with the Giants and Panthers have really strengthened the profile and development of the game.

The local league is played in the Summer months to avoid going head on with rugby and the weather being much warmer and drier. Also, I think lots of Canadians find the transition from CFL to league a little easier as I think the game is similar by comparison.

I’m a massive Cowboys fan so I would love my club to strike up some sort of partnership over here which would see players ply their trade in Australia and vice versa.

North America's rugby league revolution

Hi Mike, I’ve noticed you’ve copied and pasted this exact comment into a couple of articles now. What exactly is your point?

NRL grand final should stay in Sydney: Bennett

I went to the Pacific Nations Cup games yesterday. Still not sure how Canada managed to lose that one, but anyway.

That aside, the US have some good players capable of doing some damage. The Irish fly-half playing for the US is an astute game manager with a handy boot. Could be an interesting game.

In the cold light of day I’m still gutted about the result but once again this year we simply weren’t good enough. The first 20-25 minutes were absolutely crushing to watch. The Maloney try was one of the softest around and the Cowboys can’t blame the referee for not being bothered to tackle him.

Yes, there were some controversial calls but they went both ways. Massive forward pass for the Cows’ second try and the tackling of Mini in the air should have been penalised (I would have if I were referee).

Anyway, there’s always next year…. I hope they offload Tamou, deadset passenger!

The Cowboys were the best side on the night

I don’t know how many Cowboys games you watch Fairy but he is definitely not a rock; I would say more like a turnstile. He had 1 run in the 17 minutes he was on the field as well.

They actually looked a lot better once he got hurt and went off. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope the injury isn’t too serious but the sooner the Cowboys release this guy, the better they’ll be.

Tamou suffers neck injury in Cowboys win over Dogs

Yep, it’s getting pretty embarrassing for some people isn’t it?!?

Rugby league's night of shame

North Queensland’s test props are struggling. Matt Scott is close to my favourite player but I’ve never seen him drop so much football that he has of late.

EXCLUSIVE: Third referee now to assist 'majority rule' decisions in big moments

Pretty good result I’d say. Anyone know when the RLIF 2013 annual report is being released?

It never ceases to amaze me how much talent the NRL churns out year after year. Incredible!

NRL rookies to watch out for in 2014

Adam, for Feldt I believe it was just a hammy. Nothing serious, nor long-term.

NRL rookies to watch out for in 2014

I really enjoyed that game. This Australian team is pretty special and amazing to watch when they’re on song. I don’t feel bad for the Kiwis, they played some really good footy in this tournament but this Aussie team is just in another class

Australia v New Zealand: the return of the kings

What was the atmosphere like Renegade?

Australia v New Zealand: the return of the kings

EJ, completely agree.

I like the guy in my starting 13 but has absolutely no business being selected on the bench. This is a gamble that will certainly not pay off.

Why Tate is Sheens' World Cup gamble

Yep, agree Luke.

Best final I’ve ever witnessed. I’m probably talking rubbish but I can’t recall an error in the first half.

Five talking points from the 2013 NRL grand final

Renegade,

I sure am mate, have been since their inception. Ha I wasn’t very reasonable when it happened but I’ve managed to calm down a bit since then.

Apology to the Cowboys the real mistake

Cleveland, I’m embarrassed I support this club considering how they’ve carried on.

Why Thurston is allowed anywhere near a microphone is beyond me. I know he’s the captain of that football club but it kills me the way he speaks to the media, he sulks and carries on like a 5 year old. He makes the whole organisation look ridiculous and unprofessional. Both he and Henry should be fined and this decision should have already been handed down.

I’ll be the first to admit that when the incident first happened I was pretty p*ssed off. Though, many have rightly pointed out that the Cowboys had another 72 minutes to recify this mistake but instead they went on to miss a whopping 45 tackles, kick the ball out on the full/dead without creating any repeat set pressure and pushed a couple of dumb offloads in the final stages of the match when they were actually in front.

If it wasn’t for the flukey gift in the form of the Ulugia intercept and a favourable penalty count I honestly believe it might have got a bit ugly for the Cows. I, for one, am glad Henry is gone and thought he was holding the place back. My biggest concern is the shortage of viable candidates that might replace him.

Apology to the Cowboys the real mistake

Is that you Rothfield? Have a cry mate. I think you should leave this tripe for the pages of the daily tele

Passion and loyalty: the Queensland myths

Don’t get me wrong, I love watching Benny Barba play, but my point was more about having him play like that for 10 years rather than just a couple of seasons. He’s actually a great defender!

Bowen will retire in the next couple of years. I would like to see the Cowboys make a play at either Barba or Tomkins.

PRICHARD: Barba the most naturally brilliant player ever?

Greg, brilliant player, no doubt but the guy has really only done it for one year.

I may be a little myopic as a Cowboys fan but Matty Bowen has been doing freakish things for nearly a decade and is as important to the Cows to their premiership hopes as Barba is to the Bulldogs’.

Let’s hope Barba finds himself again is back playing his best football for the next ten years because he’s an unbelievable talent.

PRICHARD: Barba the most naturally brilliant player ever?

Yep, I found myself agreeing with all of this. Good, low tackle technique carries just about as many risks of injury, just ask Dallas Johnson.

I’m gutted, I loved this part of the game
