Well I certainly expect him to practice what his wife preaches and refuses all scientifically proven medical treatment himself – no more sports science, physiotherapists, MRI scans, orthopaedic surgeons and exercise physiologists. I expect him to be attended to by reiki healers, crystals, homeopathy and happy thoughts. I expect he will refuse any water bottles with Gatorade in favour of vials of colloidal silver when thirsty.

Titans give thumbs up to Cartwight's anti-vax stance

They are just so poor at basic skills! Passes not going to hand, runners positioned poorly to receive passes, not passing out in front, poor tackling, poor kicking options, poorly positioned defence. Forget the fancy stuff, just get the basics right FFS!

England hammer Wallabies: Six talking points

Oh, I don’t know, I think it’s great that they are benching the old guys to let the next generation have a go. This young, unknown winger, Ashley-Cooper (I think that was his name) seems a real breath of fresh air and just the kind of young, go-getter that the WBs need to take the team into the next decade and beyond – particularly when the WBs problems have always been due to a lack of depth in outside backs.

Michael Cheika can't win, even when the Wallabies do

Maybe Cheka sees the WBs problems as being due to a lack of outside backs? Maybe that’s why he has instructed Hooper to play wing this year?

Italy vs Wallabies: Spring Tour preview and prediction

“Elite Honesty” looks like something you would see written on a tee-shirt in a non-English-speaking country in the same way that there are probably a few Aussies with “Elite Honesty” written on their arms in Chinese characters after a trip to a dodgy tattoo parlour.

Justin Langer explains 'Elite Honesty'

This type of thinking is what is wrong with rugby in Australia. If only the ARU considered that rugby is actually played (and coached) outside of a few elitist Sydney clubs and a few Brisbane and Sydney private schools, then perhaps they might realise that there are plenty of potential players elsewhere that would make better Wallabies than the current bunch. There is only a lack of cattle if you only select from the same barren paddocks.

Why Randwick is vital to Wallaby success

The Beale brain fart seems to set the tone for the ongoing lack of common sense. They seem to disregard the importance of territory and have it completely backwards, they kick possession aimlessly away while in the oppositions half on attack and throw stupid passes and try to run out of trouble when in their own half when they should kick. Hodge has a cannon for a boot so let him kick them out of trouble when in their own 22 and stop the aimless midfield bombs on attack.

Beale blunder costs Wallabies against Boks

Exactly. Why would a flanker prove better attacking on the wing then a winger? Especially after watching him het burnt for speed by a hooker. Considering the WB forwards wearing exactly dominating in the middle, I would have thought it might be best to keep Hooper in the thick of it where an open side flanker should always be, not hovering on the wing.

Five talking points from Springboks vs Wallabies

I’ve heard of flankers being referred to as “wing forwards”, maybe Hooper and Cheika has misinterpreted this.

The Cheika conundrum

Your article suggests that direct head contact is required to cause concussion, that is untrue. Severe concussions can occur with no head contact, the injury is sustained by a sudden change of movement affecting the brain inside the skull. Ice hockey is a great example of this, high speed collisions with no head contact result in the majority of concussions but direct head contact via punches etc result in a very small % by comparison and that includes the fact that they fight almost every game.

Slater is guilty but shouldn’t miss the grand final

I agree with this article 100%. I am a fan of Slater and the Storm but he did the crime so he must do the time. Anything short of a ban is a cop-out and means all previous suspensions open for appeal and compensation.

If Billy Slater plays on Sunday, I won't be watching

I bet you could ask each of the players you listed and they could tell you their best position. Ask Beale, Folau or AAC what their best position is – I suspect they would have no idea.

The curious case of Kurtley

Exactly as you said, they are being played out of position, ie, they haven’t nailed a position down! They need to specialise to a point where we keyboard experts and the terrible WB coach/selector can not even wonder where they should play. Did anyone ever think that Conrad Smith was anything other than a 13? Never. Not once. Did they pick him at 14 or 15 because they were unsure of his abilities? Never. That is nailing a position down. How do you play over 50 tests and have people still wondering?

The curious case of Kurtley

Only the Wallabies seem to have this problem. How can a professional rugby player get so deep into their careers without nailing down a specialist position? Beale, Folau, Haylett-Petty, Toomua, even Hooper who insists on playing in the backs despite being a forward. In recent memory players like AAC, Giteau, O’Connor all suffered the same fate. Do they all get selected with no plans whatsoever and Cheika then has a bingo game to decide positions? I suspect that the ARU have a “must play” clause in player contracts (except Quades!) ensuring that certain players gain selection regardless of form or positional availability, how else can they justify selecting non-tackling novice RL wingers. I understand the “lack of cattle” arguement, but maybe this is because the unimaginative selectors keep looking in the same barren paddock?

The curious case of Kurtley

Haha, nice work Orson!

I guess the trainers being on the field constantly has not been part of the 2018 rules crackdown?

You forgot dishonest and untrustworthy. Just what you want in a team sport.

Jarryd Hayne's terrible, terrible secret

Man it gets difficult to support a single club these days – there is so much player movement and players and coaches are not locally produced any more – I am genuinely interested in why die-hard fans continue to support the same team year in and year out when the players they love one year play for the enemy the next. Is it purely that they love the colour of the jumper? (even though they change it every year) is it the logo?, the past players? what? the vibe? (queue The Castle quotes)?

Mitchell Pearce to sign $4 million deal with the Newcastle Knights

If Taka is rocks and diamonds then Hayne must just be rocks and rocks! The last diamond he turned up was in the last few months of 2009!

BREAKING (again): Jarryd Hayne leaving Gold Coast, Titans reportedly set to confirm exit later today

Haters? so basically you can skip out on contracts, responsibilities and lie directly to the club and fans while also allowing the coach to be sacked in the process but if he is criticised for it we are labelled as “haters”? Cry me a river.

I don’t think he can be labelled as the “underdog” in this scenario – drop off the “under” and you might be closer to the truth.

BREAKING (again): Jarryd Hayne leaving Gold Coast, Titans reportedly set to confirm exit later today

Neil Henry, the Titans and their sponsors should all sue Hayne and his management for this absolute mess. We all knew it was coming but Hayne persisted with his ruse which ultimately cost Henry his job, the Titans their stability and the sponsors their money. Absolutely immoral behaviour but absolutely true to form.

Just me or did that game seem to lack something? Atmosphere? Speed? I can’t put my finger on it but it seemed a bit flat.

Australia open Rugby League World Cup with tough victory over England

Surely Willie O and perhaps Ilie Tabua must get a run in the top 3? Either that or I am older than I think I am and that was longer that 18 years ago!
