With WA borders closed how would spectators get in? If a Vic side made the GF there would be no Victorian supporters allowed across. With 2 week Quarantine all other state visitors would stay in Perth hotels for 2 weeks prior, at their expense. $150/night x 14 = $2100, plus food, and that before buying a ticket and flights. So forget Perth

Soccer may have large number at very junior levels but is not holding true for higher levels. Many kids drop out of soccer like many other sorts at 16/20 as relationships come around, jobs and possible uni or tafe studies get in the way. Many kids then return to AFL

No consideration to playing elsewhere untill other states have a stadium capable of holding 100,000 people. Only the MCG has that capacity.

Contracted to the MCG for many years. Most of us on here will be pushing up roses before that happens. There will be an AFL side in Tasmania, and a third side in Adelaide before that

There are not enough fans. 8,000/10,000 per match against 50,000 does not bring in enough money. Membership numbers would be the same. Very low
