It wouldn’t matter if this article only had a simple reason such as ‘AFL is exciting and Rugby league is crap‘, 😂 it was always going to get a passionate response from some rugby people. Those who are painted into a corner in NSW by the rubgy (league or union), focus in schools during their upbringing. The rest of the country is dominated by real football (AFL). That includes Sydney as this article points out. But there is a place for rugby … & all the minor sports. 😛 😊

There may not need to be a bye or only 1 bye as a worst case. the visiting teams play each other when they arrive on the 1st weekend. The next week they play the WA teams. The AFL will explain it – or you’ll see when it happens

From memory, Col, the goal umpire said I believe it’s a point can we check to confirm the mark was behind the line. That’s a fairly common line, as you know, when they refer these things. Then the field umpire signalled to the reviewer by holding 1 hand up to his mouth, and we can hear that it’s believed to be a point when referred.

There are probably several decent tiger fans. Every club has a few in the extreme. It just seems the tigers have several extremely bad ones (“realist” we’re looking at you) who behave live juvenile dropkicks, with no ability to see reason and are very vocal (more’s the pity).

A draw & a goal review blunder that changed the result. It was a really low standard game for skills, but I loved the fierce contest. Only 1 goal from the pies after quarter and Richmond still couldn’t win! Lets hope this is just rusty players. And that we get something more creative from the coaches as the season progresses. Let the real premiership heavy weights set a decent bench mark for 2020.

Absolutely agree that Allen started better than Kennedy. JK played 22 games in his 1st 2 years for just 11 goals & showed very little at Carlton. He probably had worse delivery.
Allen had to work much harder for his games in a far better team & after 2 games in 2018, he kicked 20 goals in 21 games last year, including several in defence. He’s well ahead of JK’s first 2 years.
