It was shorter, with disruption and change to the time quarters where played and above all else most sides where far from their best physically and mentally and players adapted average to these circumstances so to even rate any side on last year is foolish imho. It was a Mickey mouse contest that has led to alot of clubs and media having expectation that is unreasonable.

Richmond are 1/7 against the top eight this year, only a come from behind second half boilover vs the Bulldogs, flat track bullies who’ll fade into AFL obscurity where they belong and will end up with there supporters spitting on them again like they did during the Frawley era.

If you can’t beat top eight sides like Richmond have proven they can’t this year (1/7 is flat track bully territory if you’re port or wce) then your not winning the premiership. Cotch and prestias hammies can’t be relied on and let’s be honest MCG finals aren’t a lock as of yet so the ridiculous fixture bias afforded the tigers in their two real premiership (last year is a slightly better wizard cup) cannot be relied on. I still had tigers finishing top four in a ladder predictor I did this morning but that was being generous that everything goes right but if injuries continue and they can’t get a real ruckman and lynch returns slower than he already is no amount of dusty and rusty will save a straight sets exit this year like hawthorn in 2016.
