Will Cameron Ling be the no.1 ticket holder?

It's official: Western Melbourne and Macarthur-South West Sydney to join A-League

The Swans will come out of the blocks early and then defend, defend, defend in the second half. You’d think Etihad was their home deck due to the way they play the ground. The Bombers might be due for a loss here, just as much as the Swans are due for a good win. Blundstone Arena gives North Melbourne arguably the second biggest home ground advantage, only behind Richmond at the MCG. I’d expect the Roos to spring an upset down there.

The Roar’s AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 19

I think the Swans’ SCG slump has a lot to do with luck and individual performance in all honesty. In their ‘big’ away wins, it’s been mostly individual performances (I.e. Buddy Franklin in Round 1, Kennedy’s last quarter in Round 6, Ronke’s 7 goals V Hawthorn) that have resulted in wins. At home, there has probably been an element of complacency but also a lot of teams have come to play against the Swans at the SCG. North and Adelaide are two examples.

This is of course ignoring the Gold Coast match on Saturday because that was just an out and out woeful display not even worthy of over analysing. The team just played horribly after quarter time in what was probably their worst performance for at least the past 5 years.
