Mabye we should have a football diving competition……you know give everyone in the crowd gets a number which they can hold up.
If you are good eough you can go on to represent your country or your region.
Moyes may be lucky he’s playing in Europe some of the best divers are from South America but Asia is moving fast up the rankings.

Clubs are the only ones who can end the curse of diving

Next year all of these “Old Soccer” sides will get a chance to play in the FAA Cup competition.
They will be judged at that time on and off the park.

A-League must stop ignoring 'old soccer'

What Jack’s me Off about these figures is that the “A” League does not even get a “Free to Air” game.

If and when they do look out.

Grand final TV: AFL beats out the NRL

Thank You One And All

I think Mr Wilson now has a little more understanding of the strength of conviction of the Australian Football & HAL fan.

We know it’s not Europe Matt but we still love where it’s going in it’s infancy.

And we are willing to stand behind it and support it.

Bring on the HAL 2009 & The World Cup 2010

Se ya at the game Matty……………….. LOL

A-League will always be a hopeless competition

So Mathew exactly how long is “Always” ?

I’m guessing about same amount of time we have to put up with your mindless dribble?

Please spare us this type of garbage.

We know what you are trying to achieve and this time I’m not buying in.

Have a nice life………………………………..

A-League will always be a hopeless competition

Your spot on Bear it’s hard to know how Pim will approach the game.
Our physical presence is an asset but how the mix will work is a mystery.
This weekends games may even throw up further questions rather than answers to the puzzle.

Pim's "Group Theory" to the test

This is a wish list from Doust only.

He was asked if he could wish for three players who would he choose.

Almost every club in the NRL would be happy to have these 3 on their books.

Not going to happen.

End of Story.

Big names would like it here, says St George's Doust

Jesse,
Have to agree with you here but I don’t think the quick fix answer is to only import coaches into the upper levels of our game.
Just as the influence of these “mercenaries” see’s a higher level of coaching skill passed through to the lower grades and coaches of the clubs in which they are involved.
We also need to see the coaching the basics change at the grass roots level “our junior game”.
Thus providing a filter upwards of a better standard of all round player that emerges for the coaches to then mould to their chosen style.
I am also increasingly positive of our homegrown coaches skill levels as they progress through Asia, opposed to the relative ease of the Oceania.
We all know that Vidmar is a better coach “Now” because of Adelaide’s run through to the AFC Champions League Final.
We will hopefully see these benefits in all of our homegrown coaches right through all age groups that are involved in qualifiers through Asia.
Just a further comment I believe New Zealand has also benefited greatly by our switch from Oceania as “they” now wear the mantle of the #1 in their confederation, which will further their progress on the football stage drawing possible coaching “mercenaries” to their shores.
This all bids well as we start to surround ourselves with a stronger football neighbourhood.

Adelaide's success has covered up A-League's problems
