Bill Harrigan is the same referee who’s ludicrous obstruction decision in the 1989 Grand Final changed the course of history for Balmain supporters. When asked to clarify his decision in more recent times he has explained “it just didn’t look right”

The primary lesson to be taken from all levels of sport is to do your best and leave nothing on the table. If on the day there is someone better then so be it. If you have given everything you have in preparation you can hold your head up high and be proud.
