Would be a very small backline with white, lynagh, toole, gordon, flook, marky mark and kellaway. Probably end up with a mean weight of 80kgs.

He’s a safe shifter type 10, doesn’t tend to think outside the box. However he has played better this season and I wouldn’t write him off. I can just see more potential in Donaldson and Gordon.

Which is why at this stage in the season (not a finality) that J Peteia is not playikg at test level. Though he posses running strength and a massive boot, his inability to do anything consistently and his observed lack of communication means that for now he wouldnt be in my 23.

Yes very much agree. Interesting to hear James O’Connor at the beginning of the season saying something to the effect of “the intricacy of the backline moves is something we havent had in years.” I’m loving the Kiss movement so far. Seems like a great leader and tactician.

Peteia is an error code. Much better consistency without him in the team. Id let him rest for a couole of weeks and see how this team goes.

Australian rugby over the last 3 weeks has definietely been better than last year. I hope it holds out and we get a few more of those tight ones. Well done Reds!

Very true Ferret. I scratched my head many times, when a lineout was seemeing much straighter than previous ones and they get pinged. No consistency. Super rugby refs in general need to get this sorted.

Its because super rugby refs dont care about straight throws this year for some reason. If they cared the rebels lineout would be even worse than it currently is. Uelese shouldnt get another crack at gold until he can finally get it right.
