Put hegarty at fullback and move Jock to a wing. Drop CFS

The Wrap: Super Rugby splits into two

There was also a gale blowing against them. But yes it seems obvious now that you would tap in that situation, especially when your linwout isn’t functioning smoothly.

The Wrap: Super Rugby splits into two

I still reckon that it was harsh though. There was such a height difference once the player fell and Paisami had set up correctly. I’m not sure if it should be more than a scrum penalty for those ones.

Why have the reds not changed kicker? According to Greg Martin Jock is kicking at below 64%. What’s worse is that his sideline kicks are very far off, not even close to the posts. It just looks very unprofessional. I also think Jocks general play (tackling, passing, kicking) needs a fair bit of work

The Wrap: Super Rugby teams struggle at home. Why is it so?

That’s a good point

The Wrap: Super Rugby teams struggle at home. Why is it so?

Phillip has great all round skills. He’s not just a linwout exponent, however it has to be noted that his linwout steals are very impressive. I would be more than happy to see him in a gold jersey.

I feel like if Foketi moved to the Brumbies he would turn out to be a star ala Simone. He has had glimpses of brilliance and does the basics well. IMO he looks like he is being suffocated in the waratahs.

Super Rugby Round 5 teams: Four huge ins for Rebels, Reds name strong bench

It’s all a bit here and there, but I don’t see Wright having the mental game for test rugby. Granted he is playing better this year, but i believe it is mainly due to the reduced defensive requirements and ball playing as a winger compared to a center role. When he is playing you can tell he is still trying to adjust himself to union. In his first two seasons he was having multiple brain explosions per game. I hope he proves me wrong this season but i could see top tier teams taking advantage of him.

Tom Banks busting his way into Wallaby gold

yeh its all speculation. I would love if all teams released their stats – 40m sprint, 100m sprint, 3km time trial, bench press, squat, dead lift etc.

Tom Banks busting his way into Wallaby gold

To me he doesn’t look as quick as the other wingers highlighted. Definitely not in the banks/pulu tier

Mcalister was a major threat in a blue Jersey. He was super unlucky to
not make the all blacks squad in 2011 (I think) but as a wallabies supporter I was happy he was gone

Can Noah Lolesio be Australia’s triple threat at No.10?

I played against him in Perth a couple of years ago. Not the same linebreaker he once was (aged 50)

Can Noah Lolesio be Australia’s triple threat at No.10?

Rennie. Can only. Be better than Cheika

Bulls could be ripe for the picking

The spiritual third-coming of James O’Connor

Still to this day oconners tackle on Tommy Beau is one of the best I have ever witnessed.

The spiritual third-coming of James O’Connor

It’s more that no one else has run up such a score against them this season. It was as also a record for the reds. Other than that you can’t look into it too much

James O’Connor is the best player in Australia, but he needs to put his kicking boots on

His runni g is good but against a seasoned international outfit I see him getting torn in half. Imagine any of the springbok forwards running at him. He also doesn’t have the kicking game for a back 3 player and his passing could also improve. I think he will need at least 2 more seasons until he is even considered for higher honours

James O’Connor is the best player in Australia, but he needs to put his kicking boots on

But also toomoa has nil imagination. He passes it to the first guy he sees routinely without any spark or slight of hand. His running game is also very average. JOC has that ability to unlock defenses

Also I wonder if Kata is available? I would have him over marky to add some fear to the defense

The Brumbies and the Reds should provide most of Rennie's Wallabies

I generally like the feel of this team. However, I would have Phillip in for Rodda as rodda really hasn’t done much this year. O’Connor for 10 with the potential for toomoa at 12 if not Simone

The Brumbies and the Reds should provide most of Rennie's Wallabies

He killed it last week. Looking forward to seeing More Of him

Who are our best Wallabies prospects beyond 2020?

Jocs form was much better than toomoa. Toomoa problem is that he always goes for the once off passes. He does not ever chance his hand at cut out passes and is too slow to cut through traffic if required. 12 maybe but mainly. For his experience rather than anything else. The biggest surprise this season for me has been Harry Wilson at 8. That guy makes metres every time he runs and makes minimal errors

Who are our best Wallabies prospects beyond 2020?

Fionn why is he no longer eligible? He was in Perth for over 5 years? I know he was south African born

The problems with the Waratahs' spine

He’s playing better at wing than 13. I’m not sold at his outside centre abilities

Reds dealt massive blow as Jordan Petaia ruled out for the Super Rugby season
