Is this the Wallabies' big chance to climb the rankings?

Thursday night's Bledisloe game was a ball tearer. OK, 76 points were scored, suggesting the defence wasn’t so staunch, and nine tries were scored,…
THEY ARE BAD, HIC
Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation
I’ve usually found that in a 1-1 tied series it usually means NZ put 30-40 points on us in the second game because we have annoyed them so much in the first one by winning by 1 point (if the 10 kicks the ball on time)
The insurmountable problem facing Australian rugby in a doomed rivalry with New Zealand
“allowing Pietsch to form a wing combination with Pietsch”, ok
Maybe Pietsch should play fullback as well. The three together would be telepathic

Ed Zachery how I saw it.

Wilson took it to almost ludicrous extents and still was not penalised. I laughed like a drain

8-12
Well wrapt Geoff, it seems you watched the same weekend of rugger that I did, only more so.
Being a reds fan, I’m living in a woulda coulda what if world of imagine. Imagine where we’d be if the two close games, Hurricanes and Blues, had gone our way. Imagine if we hadn’t gone awol against the Force and Moana. Competition points from any of those games would have helped us get into the first four. Crusaders this weekend looking more and more difficult, resurgent indeed.
I was just as amazed as the rest of the Roarers, on the live feed of the game, at Ryan’s third try. But at the same time I was disgusted at their eternal whinging about referees.

CRU-REB this is another game the rebels must win if anyone is going to take them as serious semi contenders.
WAR-CHI can only see this going one way
FIJ-MOA the loser may find it hard to get in the 8, Moana up against it in Fiji
BRU-HUR better hope last week was an aberration for the brumbies, hurricanes are just going so well
HIG-FOR highlanders need this for a finals birth, force looking at a spoon again
RED-BLU if we can’t beat the blues at home there’s no chance of beating a kiwi side in an away quarter

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'
I thought Wright was ok, especially the two 22 clearances he made that went 15-20 meters past halfway

Not sure which Gordon you refer to, as neither Melbourne and the RAtahs played this weekend

I’ll never forget when I was living in Fiji and some Fijian geeza, about 50ish, came to work one day with Mickey Mouse ears on.

I visited my brother many years ago, had to sit thru a whole game of league, needless to say I time my visits better these days
Let's celebrate rugby for its differences: Why imitating league is not the answer
Yes, the article says he has the experience to blah blah blah. At 27 he really only has the experience of a 23/24 year old, and one that was thrown in with the men when he was a boy. He went well before, but no one knows what he’ll be like if he lasts the season out. Good luck to him though,

CONFIRMED: Wallabies land final piece of coaching puzzle as ex-Lion signs on ahead of showpiece event
I believe that’s closer to the truth of the matter, Nick. There’s enough forced changes, so stability in positional play anywhere across the park can only be beneficial

I thought Uru to 6 Blyth to 4 was the way to go, now with this news, it might be best to keep Wright at 6, a position he has been forced to bulk up for (tho maybe it was just normal growth) so maybe this Bryant you speak of could get a run.
Just had a quick squizz at the team over the season so far 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 have been the same starters every game, as well as Flook at 13. That’s almost half the team being a constant! This week we get new selections at 4, 7, 9 & 13. We weren’t able to get consistency with that consistency, so maybe needed change is being forced on Kiss…. but I don’t think McReight and Flook are that needed change.
At least there shouldn’t be any soft c ck co-captaincy palaver going on. And I believe that “team culture” should strip the captaincy of McDermott for the remainder of the season. Enough of the committees already.
Reds cop another blow with Wallabies hopefuls to miss Highlanders clash

Law 8.8d Conversion: (The kicker) takes the kick within 90 seconds (playing time) from the time the try was awarded, blah blah blah….
Law 9.7d: A player must not waste time. Sanction Free Kick
“within 90 seconds” means that the player is limited to 90 secs, but he is not given all that time and can’t just stand there twiddling, that would be wasting time, that’s when he gets the hurry up.
The only player this rule affects is Emiliano Boffelli who used to take an inordinate amount of time to kick the ball.
