He tried once and one lady rejected it on the basis that the competition has the right to do what is best for the competition. One lady seething with class anger trampling on the rights of the individual.

NRL could have been sued for any number of things and was going to be until an intermediary met with him (because he wouldn’t talk to the arrogant NRL bosses) and promised the NRL would cover 100% of his legal fees and compensate him in return for not suing.

De Belin was paid off by the NRL. Otherwise he would have sued them to high heaven.

Anasta said it on live TV yesterday. If a player signs with the Roosters, there’s an understanding the board at the Roosters are going to set them up after they retire. I bet Anasta himself couldn’t have become a player agent and maybe not a commentator/pundit without the board at the Roosters. So they aren’t really breaching the salary cap. They are just making it clear, implicitly or explicitly, the player will be very well compensated after he retires in return for accepting less money now.

Roosters make rivals envious with poaching power but it’s not their fault other clubs are salary cap dunces

It’s true that last year 21 pro soccer players died of heart attacks as oppose to less than two on average for the 50 years prior to last year. The EMA called it “a coincidence”.

What’s your problem with Jack de Belin?

Imagining Dragons: How might St George Illawarra line up in 2024

Given they had a million dollar passenger and a few grossly overpaid players from the previous regime, they get a pass.

'They've underachieved and haven’t progressed': Does the Titans' season deserve a pass mark?

I also don’t understand this but given the situation with McCullough, it’s hard to argue with the coach. If JDB doesn’t return, it could be a good signing for 2 years. McGuire’s stats, insofar as run meters and tackles, are pretty good. Not sure why he is on the outer at the Cowboys.

Hook, it’s time to move on from signing ex-Broncos

If JDB is back in April and picks up where he left off two years ago, the sky is the limit.

Where can the mighty Dragons expect to finish this NRL season?

Utter nonsense. SGI won’t have relatively the same line up as last year. If counting McInnes and Hunt playing in their correct positions, half the team will be different. If Blacker comes good as a NRL prop and JDB is available, SGI is looking very, very strong. Over the last 6 years the win-loss record without him shows JDB is by far the Dragons most important player.

Predictions for the 2021 NRL season

That was even more fascicle than the “6 to go” call. Roosters trainer was at fault so Roosters get the advantage from which they score.

The NRL knew the risks for years about on-field trainers and did nothing

His penultimate game for the Dragons, after being “rushed back into his favored position by supercoach, sums it up.
The attack was abysmal. The only chances to score were through a forward charging over using brute force or a Tigers mistake. That’s how the attack was for a few seasons until Hunt arrived last year. At that time it was all Benji’s fault for screwing up Widdop’s game. And then to see Benji carving the Dragons up in the penultimate game….. Widdop was such a dud it’s criminal he got away with it and criminal for supercoach to have not punted him a long time!

Sorry Mary, it's time to go

The Dragons won 4 or 6 without DeBelin and they lost 2 of 2 with Widdop and then won 4 of 4 without. What does that suggest? Keeping that absolute dud (Widdop) around is the reason he needs to be dragged out of the Dragons front office, thrown to the pavement and told never to return.

Sorry Mary, it's time to go

No. Gould has often, in an indirect way, spoken out in favor of gambling.

Reports: Broncos players were at the pub prior to historic Eels loss

Surely the biggest concern if the pokies/gambling epidemic continuing to plague NRL players who aren’t so quick between the ears. Haas and Fifta are only just old enough to gamble legally and they have already been infected.

Reports: Broncos players were at the pub prior to historic Eels loss

By far the biggest mistake in the history of SGI and maybe St George period was Gareth Widdop! Ben Hunt will do fine next season without having to drag around the dead-weight that was Widdop.

Apparently Blake Austin has been killing it in the ESL. Next year when Widdop is partnering him in the halves, I bet his form falls off a cliff.

The Dragons won't fix their woes until they have a new coach

Paul McGregors tenure can best be summed up by the Dragons penultimate game this season and hopefully supercoaches penultimate game as Dragons coach.

We have to go back a few years. Dragons attack was just woeful (though defence was quite good). Apparently it was Benji’s fault and he was screwing up the game of Widdop. So supercoach got rid of Benji and upgraded Widdop……. Seriously! Among the most ridiculous things I have ever seen in the NRL. Fast forward to the penultimate game this season and the Dragons attack, with Widdop a few games back from injury “rushed back into his favored position” and the Dragons attack looked like it did back when Benji was in the halves with Widdop. This time Hunt was copping the flak. Meanwhile McGregors fall-guy was running rings around the Dragons.

Widdop is the most overrated player in the history of the NRL, was relentlessly talked up by the opposition and it seems supercoach took the word of rivals.

The Dragons won't fix their woes until they have a new coach

Hunt gets plenty of criticism but almost nothing for Widdop. Lots of people were making excuses for McGregor by pointing out Widdop has been out. So as soon as Widdop is back, knucklehead puts him right back in his preferred position and see the result. This kind of attack has been the norm for the Dragons ever since Widdop arrived.

Remember knucklehead blamed Benji for the attacking woes. Apparently he was screwing up Widdops game. We saw the result of that last weekend.

The brutal questions Paul McGregor has to answer

Kearny has done nothing but go wrong. His best result in how many years is an 8th placed finish to go with his 2 or 3 wooden spoons.
He is taking orders from Bennett and Belamy before that. How else could you explain recruiting Adam Blair on big money?

What went wrong for the Warriors in 2019?

#1 and 2 have appeared sporadically. #1 has stunk it up and #2 has been poor.

Ford isn’t that big and judging from the game against the Shonkies, is faster than Aitken and Lafai.

The side that can save our Saints in 2020

Pretty good. Pearson has had a chance and proven incapable. I’d have Ravalawa on the wing and god knows who at centre. Just as long as it isn’t Lafai or Aitken. James Graham best quality is his ability to keep going for long periods. Waste having him on the bench. Field had a chance and stunk it up. Sims hasn’t been good this year but neither has the rest of the team apart from maybe McInnes. Hopefully JDB will be back. Ford on the bench to fill in for backline injuries. The most important thing is to not have McGregor anywhere near the team.

The side that can save our Saints in 2020

True. So relocate Shonkies to Brisbane.

Sorry Titans fans, but the end is nigh

Nonsense. By all accounts, it was an excellent appointment. Too bad they couldn’t get Walters who is above being interviewed for the job. Gus did a good job ‘selling’ Brennan who took lots of dead wood off the Panthers books. It will take Holbrook 2 years to clean up the mess but then you will see a team whose infield form matches the off-field performance you would expect from one of the largest population centres. As opposed to Cronulla which is a town supporting a club in perennial financial trouble.

Sorry Titans fans, but the end is nigh

I wonder of any coach who has coached for more than one season, if Kearny has the worst winning %. If not, surely close to it.

Seibold and Kearney under fire for Friday failures

It was really that. More than half over 30 with a few teenagers thrown in.

Why would Justin Holbrook leave the best club in Super League for the worst in the NRL?

Apparently Broncos side wasn’t illegally assembled but when some evidence of just that emerged, the CEO stood down so that the NRL didn’t have the power to question him over it. And that was that.

History is against the Broncos as they face a Storm surge on Friday night
