As a Richmond fan myself there is no doubt the players performed poorly and deserve a large amount of criticism. While I understand Hardwick isn’t solely to blame I think it has become apparent he isn’t quick enough to make decisions when the momentum is heavily in the opposition’s favour e.g why didn’t he drag Vickery or sub him off in the 3rd quarter when virtually everyone else could see he was practically useless out there ? Why does he insist on moving Riewoldt up the ground when he is at his best front and square in the forward line ?

Richmond's loss shines the spotlight on Dimma

If Brad Scott’s post game press conference was anything to go by then there will be a few players on the chopping block this week. These close losses are reminiscent of Richmond’s series of close losses last year but there is still plenty of time to prove themselves, especially after a tough draw to start the season.

All so true. It is so evident at the moment that Melbourne are lacking everything Jim Stynes stood for and did for the club. They are lacking a true Melbourne person who is able to turn the club around. When Richmond was down, Brendon Gale came on board and did wonders, when North were struggling James Brayshaw gave his all to help the club turn it around and even when Hawthorn were in their dark days, Jeff Kennett did his upmost to restore the club. Melbourne need more true Melbourne people on board more than ever.

The heart doesn't beat at the red and the blue

Admittedly, Ross Lyon had a great list at St Kilda to work with, however they always had a real sense of leadership on the field from the senior players.

Freo on the other hand, need their leaders to stand up. Pavlich always seems to go missing when the team is down, as was the case in the second half of the derby on Sunday, something which must be eradicated if they are looking to have any sort of success.

Fingers now pointed at Ross Lyon

West Coast’s loss against Bombers cannot be overlooked. They were absolutely smashed in every aspect of the game .

Also, Weagles good form has been helped by their draw ! Essendon was their first big challenge and they failed to prove their worth that game.

Give the West Coast Eagles the flag now
