Absolutely. And to have your 9 and 12 really up there in game management should not deride Lolesio’s contribution. With Kerevi in their faces, Lolesio became better

AUS vs. ENG studs and duds: 'Rock star' rookie's Campo moment, nerveless Noah, Swain stitch up, Farrell flaw

Expect Brumbies to go young, Reesjan Pasitoa. Reds with Lucas, But both Waratahs and Rebels with old hands. They will blood their 10s at 12.

Huge off-season for Australian No.10s – unless you’re in NSW

From my recollection, the Allblacks are masters of offsides.

And really, first time I am hearing this complaint of the ENG NZ semi final

It's time for a rule change

Well said Mr Leg.

To add, it is fair for Quade, and Rona and … to share their views. Quite clearly, the ex-coach was somebody who did not stand up for meritocracy, and getting the best players on the park. His job was to do it for Australia. Otoh, Thorn was for a club, his stakeholders were different. Even then it was shocking.

The 2015 backline plays were designed based on Cooper. And Foley was able to memorise them. Well done. But after that, there was no such thing.

Wallabies appeared like non-competitive rugby school going through the motions with an inferior group of people. Which would be thoroughly disputed by many of the Oz SR players.

Let’s not make it about Quade. It was Cheika. Quade was just a better B than Foley, and unhappy not to be selected.

Quade Cooper swipes at outgoing Wallabies coach on social media

Woooh, third cousins are third cousins. Dont gloat too much 🏏

Quade Cooper swipes at outgoing Wallabies coach on social media

“Super Rugby players not stepping up and pushing their case for wallabies selection is not his fault.’

Ya, those who stepped up, left.

Why,

Cause you can be train-on Wallabies, but Cheika still played favourites

Cheika's legacy: Consistent inconsistency and puzzling selection to the very end

Why is Slade lower in value than Ford? He is with Exeter Chiefs, back to back Premiership champions. previously, back to back 2nd place Premiership. This is not a week team, at all. This puts playmaking from 13.

Oita optimism needed for Wallabies as Ricky hopes to go one better

That is not a fair comment vs England. Unless it is admitted that the current playing stocks in Australia are inferior… than the opponent’s

What the Wallabies need to do to upset England on Saturday

You have to watch the Premiership to understand that this is an A backline. You put Champions’s flyhalf and 1st runnersup’s outside centre. This is A game. There is nothing positive for Wallabies. Wallabies need to make its own positives. Not be fooled into misreading Eddie’s selections. This was always going to be the knock out lineups

Eddie Jones proves two can play at the selection surprise game with England team announcement

Sad day for Australian sports that the coach who had 4 years to plan for this, had no real alternative to a champion flyhalf in Christian Lealiifano. It is not like to coach paid for all salaries himself.

And he is burdening CLL to come through for him. Is it fair?

Lealiifano concerned over ability to go the distance

Anyway, as long as Foley is not in the 23 vs England, the Cheika vs Jones head to head count for zero

Wallabies (lineout) rising: Rugby World Cup quarter-final hope against England

If without Hodge, there is no issue for TK at 13 and JOC at 14. Against England, that would still work.

Jordan Petaia finally set for Wallabies debut as Michael Cheika names team for Uruguay

This is the Rugby World Cup.
Tight it might be, but I have no doubt that the Australian national team will beat the Home Nation Welsh team.

What the Wallabies need to do to knock off Wales

“Those domestic competitions work Jez because AFL and Rugby League are (essentially) domestic sports, and their competitions are the pinnacle of their sport.”

Surely Union and League are competing for the same talents.
If it is domestic, Union will probably have a better chance to be as appealing as League.
If it appeals, it can monetise better. If it monetises better, more can go into the players’ pockets.

Overseas based.

You do a Skelton law, not a Giteau law.

Players can play overseas and be selected for Wallabies when they are playing for one of the Top 4 teams either in England or in France or Top 2 in NZ, SA or the Pro14.

Is it time to scrap the Giteau law?

Istanbul is quite clear with his write.

Rugby is 9th most popular.
3rd in organised team sports.

Huge barrier to entry.

How is it then that he is a rugby hater?

Too many players, too complex and not enough stars of the Lomu variety

Perhaps, rugby is a game of the upper class Argentinians

Too many players, too complex and not enough stars of the Lomu variety

Mounga ‘appeared’ not to be playing well. The problem was in the forwards. That is all. with 19% possession, Allblacks were threatening. That is the Allblacks. Perhaps the Allblacks forget how to pummel the opposition using 8 men in close. That is what is needed to take Wallabies down this weekend (if Wallabies were as smooth as they were last weekend)

Mounga at 10 and Barrett at 15 are correct positioning. Barrett should stay at 15 more and let 11, 12, 13, and 14 get into more touches with the 10.

Why Australia's Bledisloe Game 1 wonders are unlikely to be repeated in Auckland

The present day Oz rugby does not show the way that it is awesome to be the flyhalf of the Wallabies. Because awesomeness had eluded the flyhalf position. Just keep on believing in a strong defence 10, game management and individual skill, and before long Oz will see more kids willing to play 10. In 10 years, you will then not have TK, SK debate, as there will be enough players wanting so hard to play best 10 growing up, and when the best of them play at 10 and keeping the shirt, they will develop as a ball playing 13.

So today, if there is any change, it is really,

a 15 who is not Beale,
and JOC to 13.

A win, signs of improvement, but still plenty of questions for the Wallabies

Well done. But doesn’t he have 70 test caps?

Why aren’t we talking about Quade Cooper?

“Can there be anything more curious than paying $650,000 per annum to a fit, 30-year-old, Super Rugby and Rugby Championship winning flyhalf – with 70 Test caps and 129 Super Rugby matches under his belt – to play club rugby in Brisbane?”

Quade Cooper joins Melbourne Rebels on one-year deal

The language of rugby

I am not even native to Australia. But I have been supporting Wallabies, for the longest time. It is difficult to support a team coached like this.

With pride on the line, the Wallabies must be 'no frills' in Salta

BB is brilliant, and plays differently from other 10s, and DC. Perhaps he is really a 12, which means, he does not kick goals, quickest among world 12s, real 2nd 5-eighth.

It is not his failing, it is failing of the selectors. Of course, there is enough firepower in ABs to hide it and win next year RWC anyway. So, he can stay at 10. Even with DC, the match on Saturday, it could be the odd one Allblacks lost anyway.

Just like Oz having a high work rate Hooper, but not playing the traditional 7s.

The Wrap: Dyantyi and Lavanini ‘slide the doors’ for the All Blacks and Wallabies

Allblacks by less than 34, or much much less than 34.

As a rugby fan, a good performance from the Wallabies will be to lose by less than 7 to Allblacks, given the hiding it got last week.

To my mind, if 13 men turned up for Wallabies, it will be close enough a match. As a rugby fan, that’s what I am looking forward to.

Go the Wallabies

Wallabies team for Bledisloe 2: Quade Cooper to start at flyhalf, Foley inside centre

Foley was charged down at 31 minutes.

Total silence about it. Wow!

Highlights: New Zealand smash Wallabies in an All-Black night for Australian rugby

“As for England challenging for #1. They wouldn’t last 20 minutes against the All Blacks.”

That’s a nice way of looking at it. They will pin this on their walls. Iianm, they won and played u20 World Cup finals for past 4 years, so, yeah, we will see

Giteau Law must go before it destroys the Wallabies' culture
