As much as Ive delighted in this years scatter gun amature approach by nsw Ive tried my best not to pile on, the results on the field have been enough to warm my cockles. But I will say some of the selections seem almost like spite from freddy.
He got panned for not picking the Fox and now its like hes saying “Well You wanted him, so you can have him” Got panned for Hynes cameo so now hes dropped into oblivion. Got panned for his injury replacements and keeping Teddy, soooo , Ill meet you halfway and pick Gutho , on the bench. He contradicts himself with game to game explanations and as others have said its like hes trying to win the previous game.
It reminds me of the famous saying, A coach who listens to the fans ends up sitting with them”

I like Paul and Fatty. Its much better to listen to him than the constant drama and death of the game from the others.
I’d say he was doing his job when asking about the concussion gradings, not for himself but for the public. I don’t remember the last time a grade 3 had been mentioned. I’d take more of Fatty anytime over John’s spending 40mins saying over and over and over how they’ve got to get Ponga off. There seems to be a push from some on The Roar to ban anything or anyone that has a history with the game to be silenced and put out to pasture and we should only listen to the enlightened ones of the modern game whose views come with a journalism degree. It didn’t work for Seibold at The Broncos and I doubt dismissing our past will work for anywhere else. I’d rather personality over sanitised AI calling the game. More Fat for everyone.
