Pakistan's tour of England: What to expect
I’d guess Azhar Ali or Asad Shafiq. These two are technically very sound player
Pakistan's tour of England: What to expect
As the career moves forward his pace got diminished but at his peak, he used to bowl at 90 mph and the captain didn’t doubt to give him the ball in tough conditions.
The magnificent Stuart Broad-James Anderson pair
Yeah because nowadays players leave the longer format to increase their career in limited-overs cricket but these two guys stuck to the Test Cricket and made their name in Test Cricket. This is just phenomenal.
The magnificent Stuart Broad-James Anderson pair
Yeah, it is true that their effectiveness outside England is not as much as in home conditions
The magnificent Stuart Broad-James Anderson pair
Just on a lighter note, I think you weren’t in the world at that time
When Laxman and Dravid put Australia to the sword
Interesting article Arnab. In my opinion, the 2014 Asia Cup was the best as all the teams were strong and competent at that time.
Remembering the 2018 Asia Cup
As for backup opener, Malan is a player to be considered because he bats as an opener in the early days of his domestic career. Also, Buttler could be promoted at the top order.
Who should be in England's squad for the T20 World Cup?
Karthik hasn’t played international cricket for one year and his performance in domestic cricket is not in my knowledge that’s why I’ve preferred Pant over him. And Jadeja’s experience can be useful in the world cup so Jadeja got an edge over Pandya.
Who should be in India's squad for the T20 World Cup?
I think that Kamran Akmal has given enough chances and he failed to grab those chances. And I’ll say that for Sharjeel Khan, this would be too early and too difficult for him to make comeback directly in the world cup. But in the end, it is the clash of opinions and you have full right to express your opinion.
Btw the next article will be more appealing to you as I’ll share my opinion on India’s squad.
Who should be in Pakistan's squad for the T20 World Cup?
This list doesn’t rank one bowler over another, these are just 4 great bowlers of this era.
The fab four of fast bowling
I have mentioned that I picked the players who play all three formats or couple of them. Neil Wagner plays only Test cricket that’s why I haven’t considered him in this list.
The fab four of fast bowling
I’ve made this list considering their recent performances across all three formats during the previous years, not on the basis of their entire career.
The new fab four of batting... and Steve Smith doesn't make the cut
My apologies, I have written wrong about Smith because I had written that about Joe Root and mistakenly named Smith.
The new fab four of batting... and Steve Smith doesn't make the cut
I agree with all your comments that Steve Smith is no doubt the best player but he has not some exceptional performances in ODIs and T20Is in recent years. He had the best Ashes series as I’ve mentioned but I was making this list considering the performances across all three formats during the previous year. David Warner was just two or three runs short of becoming the leading run-scorer in ICC world-cup 2019 and had a fantastic home season scoring a triple century against
Pakistan in Tests. And Babar is currently number 1 in T20Is, number 3 in ODIs, and number 5 in Tests so due to his remarkable performances during the last year I’ve included him in this list. I have made this list considering the performances across all three formats during the recent years, not on the basis of technique and overall career.
The new fab four of batting... and Steve Smith doesn't make the cut
Bangladesh has a strong limited-overs team but they are lacking in Test cricket because of not having some good option in their domestic cricket. There are some exciting talents as you mentioned but they are not yet exposed to the greater audience.
What if Bangladesh had to field a team in all three formats at the same time?
Hafeez is not included in any team and it is interesting to see some young guns making into the Test team. And I think Sohail Akhtar could be the captain of the T20 team because he has captained Lahore Qalandars in this PSL and a 39-year-old should not be captain of the young boys format.
What if Pakistan had to field a team in all three formats at the same time?
No doubt he is the only piece and these players come once in a century
Is Babar Azam the next Javed Miandad?
Yeah, he is an impact player and the whole team relies on him and I agree with you that if he would not get batting support then surely he will lose hope because still, the team will be losing despite his performances.
Is Babar Azam the next Javed Miandad?
Definitely he will make some new records in the world cricket.
Is Babar Azam the next Javed Miandad?
I am not suggesting a 3-year ban nor any ban but he was getting back to back chances in the national team despite his poor behavior which is a controversial thing. That’s what I am saying which Australia did with Symonds. Also, I have mentioned the comeback of Amir which enhances the confidence of young players that they will get back in the team after the ban is over.
Umar Akmal: Another wasted talent
“Strict in its actions” in the sense that he should have got this ban earlier. He had just fined or dropped from the team and nothing more than that and that’s why he made several comebacks in the team. And in my opinion, discipline comes first no doubt how good a player can be.
Umar Akmal: Another wasted talent
Yeah, this is a problem of every team but I gave the reasons behind England opening problems.
England's opening conundrum in Test Cricket
