It is the all-time T20I XI and I know Gayle is an explosive batsman but its record in international cricket is not good.
My all-time T20I XI
I have mentioned for those who have some extraordinary strike rate like Afridi, Russell, Maxwell, etc and also economy rates for bowlers like Umar Gul, Rashid Khan, etc.
My all-time T20I XI
As I mentioned that he had played cricket in the early days of T20 and was leading wicket-taker at that time. Also, he has a good average and great economy rate far better than bowlers you have mentioned. Jofra Archer, Starc has played very less cricket and I think its quite less to include him in the world XI.
My all-time T20I XI
You can check the stats and will find out that Sarfaraz has much better stats than any other keeper and is still has a great career ahead.
My all-time Pakistan Test XI
Inzi was the third leading run-scorer for Pakistan in Tests and he should be in the team. Majid And Zaheer is debatable and as of spinners, I think Pakistan played most cricket in Asia and that’s why I have gone with two spinners.
My all-time Pakistan Test XI
Actually I was also thinking of that but stats of Majid is not justifying because of playing less Test Cricket at that time. He was a terrific player and as you mention that he scored 500 runs in a series against a strong West Indian attack.
My all-time Pakistan Test XI
You can check stats and his batting average is below par. You have to view different aspects to make all-time XI and I think Sarfaraz Ahmed has average keeping but his batting average is far better than him.
My all-time Pakistan Test XI
You are missing Hanif Mohammad and I think this a crime that you are missing a legend like him in the all-time XI. These players come once in a century. And Inzamam-ul-Haq is missing who is the third leading run-scorer for Pakistan in Test cricket
My all-time Pakistan Test XI
Yes you are right but Majid Khan has played in the 1960s and 1970s and at that time Pakistan played very less Test Cricket and that’s why stats are not showing his class otherwise he was a classic batsman.
My all-time Pakistan Test XI
Yeah, I was also thinking of a second spinner but Pakistan has always a pace factory so it was very difficult to pick another spinner in the team having the strong pace options.
My all-time Pakistan ODI XI
I have included Imran Khan as a finisher and in my opinion, he was the best finisher of that time.
My all-time Pakistan ODI XI
No doubt Abdul Qadir was a world-class spinner but it thinks that he was more of a test bowler and has played less ODI cricket. He has played 104 ODI which is not enough to judge and put him in All-Time Pakistan ODI XI.
My all-time Pakistan ODI XI
I don’t think so IPL is gonna be happening because if they want to play in July/August window then it would be difficult to bring their overseas players. In July/August, English summer will be at its peak and two teams will be touring England and West Indies players will be busy playing their CPL who are the main players of IPL so it looks impossible which as a cricket fan makes me disappointed.
The impact of COVID-19 on the IPL
I would love to answer you about bowling quality. No doubt Chris Lynn and Shane Watson are world-class batsmen and you can’t judge the bowling quality by just considering the two world-class batsmen. There were some amazing bowlers like Muhammad Amir, Chris Jordan, Dale Steyn and also some local talents like Muhammad Husnain, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi Who can bowl above 145 kph.
Also, Pakistan Cricket is badly in need of some exciting talents. No doubt this is a lower stage but when they will play international cricket they will have to face some quality bowlers. I hope they will perform on the big stage as well.
Three emerging batting talents from PSL 2020
Nice article man. I am also a big fan of Indian cricket and hopes to read more interesting articles about Indian cricket. In my opinion, Kohli is admiring the English brand of cricket by just keep smashing the balls and reach to 400 plus total in a day or four sessions but this approach doesn’t work perfectly in every match. Maybe he has now realized and will come back to a professional test cricket approach.
